Domestic Goddess Cleaning Service

I would strongly discourage anyone from using this service. I called them to my house to schedule a move in cleaning. Based on the size of my home they told me it would be $ 145. I asked them if this was the hourly rate and they said «No, thats the rate for the whole job.» I asked if they would dust and clean my furniture which they said they would. The only thing they said they would not do is laundry and dishes. Upon arriving to my place, the female owner said they would be there for about an hour. When I said I wasn’t given a time limit on the phone, she said they have an hourly rate of $ 35/​person for a four person crew. The male owner was also there and was the one I had talked to on the phone and he said he has just estimated that it would take about an hour to clean my place. The female owner was extremely rude and threw a fit about there being boxes in the place (which obviously there would be in a place I was moving into). She was rude the whole time and had a horrible attitude. They refused to dust my furniture. They barely dusted inside the cabinets and many were still dusty when they left. This company’s misogynistic name should have been a clue as to their service.

Horrible service. I called in for an appointment over the phone. The guy told me over the phone the date and time. I took the morning off work to be home to let them in since it was my first time to try them. I waited 30 minutes, and when they still hadn’t shown up, I called. The lady who answered said she didn’t see my name anywhere on their list. She said they could maybe squeeze me in «in a few hours». Unfortunately, I only took the morning off of work. Then she put me «on hold» for over 5 minutes while she discussed things with someone else. They sounded completely disorganized and still couldn’t find anywhere that had my reservation. Definitely do not recommend to anyone.

I used DG cleaning service when I moved into my apartment last fall. I was 4 – 5 mos pregnant and didn’t have the energy to clean the new place myself. I had already cleaned my old apartment. They were timely and professional. The apartment was clean and smelled nice when they were finished. We will be using them again when we move out into our new house. They were reasonably priced which was the icing on the cake.
