The Leo’s Coney Island in Flint is definitely my favorite. But now that we have moved to fenton I visit the fenton location several times a week. I have never had bad service bad food or a messed up carry out which is good seeing how sometimes my Carry outs are a little complicated! Leo’s blows mega out of the water! Always routing for the small town locations but I can’t deny that mega is nothing special next to Leo’s. Their grilled chicken is to die for and don’t even get me started on their Greek salads and gyros!!! Yummm

I went here for lunch with my friend, it wasn’t busy at all. The sign said«seat yourself» so we did, and we waited for 15 minutes before we got up and left. There were 3 servers behind the counter that were looking at us too! Hello, do your job! I went back 3 months later to have breakfast, I had the spinach and feta omelette. It wasn’t done, my eggs were still runny. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Fish and chips good on friday. Coneys are slopped together, not as good as MEGA. Senior breakfast is ok but I will not pay $ 2.00 for a cup of Joe when it retails almost half what it was 30 years ago.

Really good food at very reasonable prices. The Michigan Salad with grilled chicken is delicious. The staff and manager(Jason) are always accommodating and polite. Would(and have) recommend to any one.

I have always liked this place and the food has always been good. Then it happened, a real turn off. My wife and I ordered some cheese sticks as an appetizer which took a little while coming to the table. When they showed up they were cold, so we sent them back. And rather than making a fresh batch, the cook just threw the same ones that we had taken bites out of right back in the deep fryer. I find this to be very tacky, and hopefully this isn’t a practice they continue doing. We will still eat there because it is good, as long as this does not become a habit.

Stopped in here for a quick breakfast this morning. We ordered 2 eggs and bacon, strawberry French toast, country omelette with biscuits and gravy and a pot of tea. The steady flow of customers was constant during our time here today. The food was prepared exactly as ordered, however, the service was a little slow. I didn’t take any photos as I thought I’d already reviewed this location. I have eaten the Greek salad and chicken kebabs dinner and was pleased with that entrée, my husband likes their fish combo platter. When you’re in the mood for short order menu, mostly fried items, I would recommend Leo’s.

Food is decent, and reasonably priced. The only issue I have is with the sometimes inattentive wait staff.

Super good breakfast and coffee. Great wait staff. My only dislikes are the dusty fake plants and the cashier. She is always unpleasant

The food is has always been Good for me, but the service is definitely a toss up. The younger girls do seem to spend a lot of time sitting on the stools talking to each other and flirting with the male staff. For some reason I’ve seen this behavior more in the evenings than during the day. The day staff is older maybe? Idk. Restaurant always feels clean, and you can get in and out pretty quickly.

My family and I stopped in we had the same experience as Cat M. It was about 7pm or so the staff was just hanging out talking. I ordered two coneys and fries. Our food came at a reasonable time but my coneys had a drop of mustard on them! I wish i took a pic. The cook and the waitress didn’t notice or care! I had to ask for mustard! Very disappointed. The fries were a bit limp from grease. My wife and daughter didn’t enjoy their food either. We felt like we crashed their party and thats what we get for doing so.

Horrible. Corn beef hash mush. Eggs ok. Waitress would rather talk to cook than tend to customers.

This place sucks and the manager/owner(at least that’s what he claimed) was arrogant and argumentative when I complained about the food. I’ve dined there with my family three times and all three meals and service were lack luster. The rude manager was the last straw for us.

The food was okay other than too much liquid butter on my toast. Just your typical coney food. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Not as «homey» as I expected for a Michigan coney island. The servers were dressed in dark colors and didn’t smile much, and the staff behind the counters were goofing around. I probably won’t give them my money again.

Excellent Greek omelet. Not greasy but the meat was flavorful and juicy. The hashbrowns were perfect-sift and buttery with a slight crisp top. Toast was good but how can you mess up toast unless you burn it. Clean, fast, good service at a good price. Can’t beat that.

This place alright… The staffs and waitresses were nice and friendly but the food didn’t impress me like Mega Coney Island. I ordered turkey BLT with fries and spaghetti for my daughter. The fries were not crispy and the turkey were probably a cheap deli turkey unlike mega who uses much more fresh turkey meat. Also the bacon were not as crispy. This is a great place to be in but they need to replace a better chef if they plan on becoming a better restaurant.

I love people who review a Coney Island with gourmet expectations, I mean get real. Let’s not mince words here; this is a solid Coney Island, no more, no less. The coney’s are good, as are the gyros and the service is on average pretty good. Just keep your expectations reasonable and I promise you will enjoy your meal.

Starting to think, these other reviews are from competitors or some bitter folks. Been to Leo’s Fenton about 6 times since they opened. We are going here now instead of other chain restaurants near by for family night out. Prompt service, fresh food, great«coney» food and menu, friendly staff and at a good family price. The best I can, «we’ll be back».

Do you suffer from sialorrhea? This place might be able to help. Featuring some of the most desiccated foodstuffs we’ve ever consumed: the dry toast, English muffins, pita sandwiches, burgers, and even the omelettes will soak up any excess saliva expeditiously! I have seriously wondered if they are serving survivalist foods from someone’s personal bunker. No need to be concerned about them over-buttering anything here — they apparently left any use of that product out of the budget. If your kids have lost all of the hockey pucks, just bring home your burnt English muffins; those will substitute in their next game handily. And if all of this sounds terrible, don’t worry, you’ll forget all of those things once you wash it all down with what you hope will be a refreshing sip of icewater, and instead find yourself forced to question if someone is dipping it out of the toilet. Seriously. We’ve been here twice since the place opened and the food has been far below the standard of any other Leo’s we’ve been to — and we’ve been to several. We were so excited for this location to open close to our home, because there’s only one other coney in town and they are overpriced and disappointing. I haz a sad that this Leo’s location is serving such low-quality preparations of food we normally enjoy quite a bit. To be fair, my country omelette this morning was tolerable, but only because the gravy combated the dryness of the eggs. I barely made it through one slice of my rye toast. It might as well have been Melba toast, and no slathering of orange marmalade was going to remedy that degree of crispness. My husband would also like me to make a special note: blatant flirtation with men by the female staff is not the way to a good tip. Good service is. It doesn’t matter if you are making eyes and smiling coquettishly at a dude — if you bring him a burnt English muffin 10 minutes after you brought the rest of his food, you’re doin’ it wrong. You’ve done that to him both times we’ve been in the past week — different servers, same level of service. A minor annoyance: both times we have been, a week between each visit, the big screen TV’s showing ads for local businesses and the local weather have been showing the same forecast for the same days of the week, and it’s completely wrong. Someone needs to reboot whatever box that runs those things, cuz it’s clearly hung up. It does seem clean, they bus the tables quickly, and they do have one of the fancy new Coke machines that does a ton of flavors, so there is potential. But until they get their kitchen staff up to snuff on cooking to the usual Leo’s standards, we can’t see going back. So, with deep disappointment, we will be avoiding this place unless we find out that some serious changes, meaning improvements, have been made. What a bummer.
