My go-to sub shop in the OC area. I’ve never had the pizza or other food so I can’t really recommend those, but the subs are really good. The Italian and the cheesesteak are two of my favorites. Good quality and combination of ingredients. Friendly staff.

I really wanted to like this place!!! The people are so friendly and that’s very important to me in light of some of my recent experiences down here at the beach lol. Service was very quick too, even though they seemed pretty busy. So I would give 5 stars for the service but only 2 for the food… My husband had a cheese steak. He said it was ok but the roll was horrible. He wouldn’t get it again. I had an Italian sub. The meats/cheeses were thinly sliced and good. The lettuce, tomato, onion and hot peppers were good. It was just the roll that was awful. It was stale, dry and fell apart as I was unwrapping the sub. Unfortunately the roll is a huge part of a successful hoagie or cheese steak… And these rolls FAILED. If they change the rolls to wherever Billy’s gets theirs they’d be in good shape. I prefer this places meats/cheeses and Billy’s rolls. Too bad neither place can serve up the total package! We also got slices of pizza to share and sample. Pizza was ok for the area but not my favorite. I don’t expect decent pizza down here though. I wouldn’t get it again either.

We ordered the pizza and we were not disappointed! We were impressed by the local traffic coming and going so we figured we found a decent place. Looked like a lot of great items on the menu so I would definitely go back to expand my food experience with them. The pizza hit the spot!

First night of our family vacation we stopped here on a Sunday night. My dad got a shrimp hoagie, and I ordered a pizza, half plain and the other half anchovies. First to come out was the hoagie and the bread was awful. The hoagie had plenty of shrimp, but something was missing, it was dry and didn’t have much flavor so overall it just wasn’t good. I grew up right outside of Philly and know good bread and this stuff was just bland. Okay, now onto the pizza. It looks good, but as you can see from the picture the amount of anchovies was an absolute joke. Total I think there was about six on the whole pizza, about one were slice. The pizza tasted good, but was very greasy even with the mediocre amount of cheese. The older blonde lady at the front counter was just miserable and kept staring at us, probably since it was about an hour before close. For the price, we weren’t impressed and won’t be back.

We ordered from here while I was staying at a friend’s beach house in South Bethany over the 4th of July weekend. I don’t have much to say other than I loved the sausage and pepper pizza! The flavor of the sausage was delicious and I enjoyed the crust as well. We enjoyed the leftovers for days! I would order from here again. :)

Ok been a loyal customer for 20+ years and still enjoy the food in general… However… The bread on the subs as taken a major turn for the worse and needs an upgrade… Please find a new supplier asap… Like before the season passes… Thanks

Ok let me say one thing. I have been going to oceanside sine 1992 and nothing has changed since then. Bob and Sue were great owners and made fantastic food. Janet the new owed is following in their footsteps. The pizza is the best pizza in town. I even purchased some dough and sauce so I could make my own during the cold winter months they are closed. I don’t understand why people get on these websites and spew nastyness. My mama said if you don’t have anything nice to say keep it yourself. I know you are allow to have your opinion but at the cost of doing damage to a restaurant that has been serving this area for over 30 years? If you don’t like the food then go somewhere else that you would be happy. Unfortunately I don’t think some people will ever find that happiness. GREATFOODANDEVENGREATERSTAFF!!!

This place is a MUSTSTOP for me whenever I am in the area. The pizza is amazing, and the cheese steaks are mind blowing. They even have tasty onion rings and fries. Love this place! Super nice owners.

Too many places @ the beach than to waste time and money… cashier was a tad testy. chx tenders are frozen. Pizza burger was coldish; burger way over done, Ragu plopped on it. wasn’t even that busy!

I used to go bere when I was younger and remember how good their pizza/subs were. Just had a pizza here Sunday mid morning and it was okay. It was super greasy, however 4 stars for the crust alone. Their crust is amazing and makes up for the greasy mess that was in our pizza box. Staff could be a little friendlier but not that big of a deal…

Got a cheese steak with onions and a slice of cheese. Both were very good. There was no one else in the place so there was no wait. Place was clean, employees were neither overly friendly nor were they rude. Very pleased.

I can’t believe I am saying this, but I don’t think I will ever go back to Oceanside after 25 years of patronage. It has been slipping all summer, but I was willing to keep going back hoping the new owners just needed to get into their groove; however my last visit included a pizza that was absolutely dripping in grease and a chick’o philly with absolutely zero flavor(the new bread SUCKS!). Neither were edible and went straight in the trash. Thank God One Coastal opened up one block away. That place is my new jam.

I’ve been going to this place for years. It is definitely a «can’t miss» place if you are staying in Fenwick Island. While yes, the service can sometimes be a little gruff, the personality and all around vibe of the place more than makes up for it. The pizza is EXCELLENT — I love the braided crust, and at around $ 12 for a large, I think its a deal(at least by suburban DC standards). The subs are very good, but can be a bit more hit and miss. For me, the bread makes a sub, and the last time I had one here, the bread was a little stale. The greek salads are awesome — its my go to choice since its always fresh and is actually a healthy meal, which is pretty much impossible to find at the beach. Definitely give this place a try, its a Fenwick Island classic!

For such a dumpy dive that boasts the best subs and pizza on the tiny strip of Fenwick Island, this place was a bitter disappointment. NEVER have I been treated so rudely by a cashier.(I sure hope she wasn’t the owner.) Out of curiosity, I continued to watch her mannerisms as I ate and sure enough, she treated everyone like dirt. Snapping at them with such a nasty tone and not once did she so much as crack a smile. Come on lady, is your life really that bad? I only gave it two stars because the plain cheese pizza slice was fair.

Before you read my experience, the bottom line is there are so many places up and down this beach that offer great pizza and subs… Don’t waste your time at this dump. If you are looking for mediocre subs around Fenwick Island than this is your place. I was there over the July 4th weekend and this place looked promising at first but I waited a half hour for my sub(keep in mind this was 3pm with no line). When I approached the counter and politely asked the older lady(manager I assume) behind the counter about the status she snapped back at me and angrily told me they called my number a long time ago(which I can assure you they did not) and handed me a cold Chicken parm sub with some cold fries. This lady made a fatal mistake that day because what she fails to realize is that in the restaurant industry the customer is always right and with the internet so readily available everywhere we go, the consumer will win every time.

Average Nothing special at all. Workers seem unmotivated, robotic, and unhappy. How can you screw up 1 simple sub and fry order is beyond me. Flavor was average, fries were overcooked and expensive for the amount you get. Help a brother out, where have all the good greasy sub shops gone?!

Definitely a decent sub shop. If you come here in the off-season, you will have the place almost to yourself! However, during the summer, this place is jam-packed. They have a few outdoor tables and inside many tables and a bar. Patrons walk in, order, and wait for their name to be called wearing no shoes, bathing suits, and sometimes are even still wet from the ocean! Nice food and portions. The only bummer is the holier than thou attitude of most of the staff and owners. A little friendliness would really go a long way!
