Some family members recommended my wife & I stop by here on our way up to Rehoboth. Their collection of Jams/Jellies/Preserves was very impressive and I even found Banana Butter that I haven’t had since I was a kid(Similar to Apple Butter). They also have a nice collection of cheese spreads to taste & purchase. Also their candy & fudge selection is good, but with a Candy Kitchen @ every corner, I didn’t pay much attention to it. About half the store is food while the other half is country/kitschy merchandise.

The store is cute, but quite pricey. The fudge and cheese are amazing. When I first walked in a woman was working behind the the cheese counter and seemed annoyed so I walked by and didn’t get any. Later I bought fudge from Rick who is a lovely, sweet man. We tried and purchased fudge and then he walked over to help with the cheese and I bought some of that too. Rick — keep doing what you are doing! :)

I have been coming here since I was 4. They have a checker board for kids or adults to play while parents shop under the steps. I have many fond memories of this when I was a child. Best fudge at the beach. Made in house and simply delicious. 2nd floor has wonderful display of glass, plates, linens and other artsy designs. Holiday section is great addition. Staff is friendly. I come every year. Come for the fudge and dips.

Discovered this eclectic store yesterday and was excited at the variety. I purchased 2 organic dog loofah toys for my dogs. The description on packages stated that these all natural toys were good for dental flossing for their teeth. I figured they would be like the loofahs which we humans use in the shower. I have 2 small long haired dachshunds. Within the very first 5 minutes, the toy was disintegrated into teeny tiny pieces which were choking my dog, not to mention making an incredible mess on the carpet. Never did I think something natural and organic would be that hazardous. Needless to say, I scooped up the pieces and threads and retrieved the receipt and original packing from the recycle bin to do a return today. Let me tell you, the saleswoman was absolutely rude, unfriendly and royally mad when I requested a full refund of $ 7.95PER toy. She actually refused a refund and acted like I was committing a federal offense by even asking. My friend politely requested that at least the second unchewed toy be refunded which the lady finally did quite begrudgingly ! She probably agreed to the single toy refund to just get rid of us. Needless to say I will never take any friends or family to visit this store based on the rude, and I do mean rude behavior of this woman. Does not matter how good the fudge looks and smells. Give your patronage to a more customer friendly business please. This was a terrible experience, not to mention an absolute waste of time, gas and $ 7.95 ! Buyer beware… returns are impossible here !

Hot summer day with an infant, thought that this would be a great way to shop away the afternoon. Before we even got 2 feet in the door we were coldly told that there were no strollers allowed. Other patrons around us were as caught off guard as we were by the abrupt rudeness of the staff person at the front door register. My family got back in the car and proceeded to Floaters instead which is just a short ride down the road on Route 54 and had a great afternoon despite the set back. If you have children beware of the country store and visit Floaters instead!

I was walking through this store And enjoying checking out the treats and goods and as we went down the stairs I spotted a sign with a black boy with red lips(reminiscent of the black face look), advertising blackberry soda, which you can see on the pic. Any store in 2013 that feels comfortable hanging this obviously has no clue or doesn’t care about offending black people. It’s tacky but seeing as you don’t see too many of us around these parts, they probably just don’t give a(bleep). As long as that sign remains I’ll spend my money elsewhere. The sad thing is, they might prefer it that way. :(

There should be a bar located next door for the men to visit while their wives are shopping!

My husband, 4 children and I were visiting OCMD for a vacation and I saw an ad for this country store in one of the magazines at our hotel. I was very excited to visit, since we love going to these types of stores whenever we vacation. We have four children – 4, 8 and twin 6 month olds. We went into the store with the babies in a stroller and were told we had to leave with the stroller. I could understand if the aisles were tiny or if there were breakable objects all over the place, but this was not the case at all. I noticed another person had the same complaint, and like them we also left and decided against purchasing anything, which would’ve amounted to a lot. We were going to buy at least three lbs of their cheese and 3lbs of their fudge but they lost our business, we will never return here, and we will recommend others stay away as well. How un-family friendly can you really be?

NOT baby friendly!!! While traveling to Ocean City I saw advertisements for this business and was so interested I made it a point to go out of my way to check it out. I was in the store not even 5 minutes when the lady behind the counter told my husband they don’t allow strollers… My 7 month old was sleeping and to take him out of the stroller(a little umbrella stroller) would mean I’d have to wake him which mind you would limit my shopping as it is. We quickly turned and left. I understand if the store was small but this place had large enough aisles and was easily navigable! Shame on you… I will gladly spend my money elsewhere!

How have I been going to OC for years and never knew about this place?! Tons of collectibles and knick knacks… lots of it is beach themed and cute, not tacky! They also have Christmas and Halloween stuff. It’s a great place to find unique gifts. On the first floor they have amazing fudge(try the dark chocolate caramel with sea salt!), old fashioned candy, and cheese spreads that are made in house. Check it out for yourself… it’s not far from OC!

We’ve visited most of the stores in the area over the last 8 or so years we’ve been vacationing in Bethany Beach, and this is the one we come back to over and over again. While they can be a little pricey, they have a lovely selection of coastal themed items and goodies. Half the first floor features sauces, seasonings, dips and goodies, including candy. The store made fudge is INCREDIBLE — I get it every single time. They feature at least a dozen different flavors at a time, and they’ll give you a sample before you purchase. I’m a big fan of their Christmas ornaments, and they feature items for Halloween and Thanksgiving as well. Plenty of shore themed items, mostly home décor and entertaining(platters, glasses, etc.). This is not your typical tacky plastic souvenir shop, and well worth a visit.

This is one heck of a weird store, but that’s how they advertise themselves, «The most unusual store on the shore and more…». It is however, still a blast to shop around and get snacks from. The milk and dar caramels are my favorite! Check out the quirky Christmas section upstairs!

This is another regular stop when at the ocean. The fudge and taffy from this place is amazing. Don’t go to the usual spots to get your fudge and taffy from, get it here. The staff here are great, nice and willing to answer any questions. The only thing bad about this place is that it gets super crowded on the first floor where all the food is at but it is worth it.
