I wish I could give a 0 star for this one… good lord I have never been to cracker barrel and I won’t be going back, here’s why… It was my girl, her grandparents and I going out for a late lunch after we took them to a couple doc visits. We walked in and had to wait 15 mins for a seat at 2pm. There were plenty of open tables but it was st pattys day so I guess they were busy or something back there. We sit down. Order drinks, I ask for sweet tea and man is it delicious. The only good thing about our visit. I finished my tea before she could come back and take our order, when she did come back I was asked if I wanted a refil. Yes please, we order food. I got chicken strips and for my 3 sides, slaw, fried okra, and fries. The refil never came. Food. Arrived, I was asked again for a refil, YESPLEASE. My slaw was handed to grandpa along with his meal. The menu said 6 strips came with the meal. I had 4 skeet azz chicken strips, guess someone was hungry… the waitress stopped in yet again and asked me if I wanted a refill. YES I’M THIRSTY I WOULDLIKE A REFILL. Grandpa ate my slaw before I could realize what was going on and I never got my refil of ice tea… so at the end of all this. our waitress came up with the check and had the audacity. … THEJUEVOS… to ask me for another refill… NO… you missed your chance. I’ve sat here this whole meal with a cup of ice and been asked 3 to 4 times for a refill with dry, overcooked, skeet, chicken and from the bag sides.

I promise to write a good review soon but it won’t be today. I visit this location about twice a month and while the service is generally ok the food usually isn’t. I went this time with three other guests. One of the guests odered the crispy buttermilk fried chicken. The other guest odered the mushroom swiss chopped steak. The third guest ordered the fried cod while the fourth guest ordered Uncle Hereshals country breakfast. The breakfast for the most part was okay and the guest was pleased. So with that out of the way here comes my complaint. Ten minutes after we had ordered we were informed by the waiter that the chicken for the buttermilk fried chicken was no longer available. He could substitute the country fried chicken for the same price. I thought great. Go for it. Moments later the manager comes over to our table to apologize for our inconvenience but informs me the country fried chicken is a premium dinner and in order to do the substitution the meal would come with only 2 sides not three. I knew if I complained the order would take longer so I obliged. Big mistake. The food starts coming out minutes later. The sides come in bowls– and while I like the idea– at least fill the bowls up(they were only filled halfway). The fried cod on the other hand was cold. The chopped steak was swimming in a pool of grease and the country fried chicken was a tough old bird. It came out with the rest of the meal so I was frantequelly cutting the breast to make sure it was cooked thoroughly. It really didn’t matter much. The chicken was too tough. The manager was notifed and even though he agreed to replace some things the meal was already a disaster. The gravy on the mashed potatoes was even cold. And it appears that at this location if you ask for a couple of biscuits that’s all your going to get. Two. The manager did manage to adjust the bill a little but it wasn’t enough. I think I had enough of this Cracker Barrel.

Brought my Baby Girl she is 12 in for here birthday last night. The sever was half knowledgeable on food and our order. Party of 7 of us. Country Fried Steak taste like the name of the gravy. Sawmill gravy steak taste like SawDust. My kids ordered Bacon Cheese Burgers and the Burgers had no cheese on them when they came to the table. My wife Country Style Chicken was Dry. I been to a lot of Cracker Barrels I got to say this is My worst experience dining. Thinking it will be some time before our next visit. No Good. Being a Chef myself consistencies is Very Important with Food. It can make our Break any establishment especially a Chain Restaurant.

After today I am so cool on cracker barrel. Its not that it was bad it’s just very inconsistent. I can never go there from one time another expecting either the food or the service to be good. Today’s fail was the food. The server did a good job and needed an assistant as they are clearly understaffed. I got the catfish fillets per usual. Mines were significantly bigger than the other guests. My fries were stale so unfortunately I had to send those back only to get some fresh hot ones that were still overcooked. I also sent back the mashed potatoes that had to have been sitting out all day. I poked them with my finger and it didn’t even dent. The replacement one I got wasn’t much better. The fish was good just not fried crisp enough for my taste and the turnip greens which I normally don’t like were good and meaty. Another guest ordered a house salad that looked fresh and delicious. My Mac n cheese was good. Cracker Barrel has no excuse for those mashed potatoes!!!

Eat breakfast here on weekends when visiting my dad in St. Louis. Usually extremely busy. However there is never a wait for a table. Why? This place is ran with military precision. Manager giving orders over a headset. You stand up 2 seconds later your table is getting cleaned. The food has always been good. The service as well. Like I said have only been during breakfast. The atmosphere is cafeteria like. Very noisy. Even on the Thursday we went with many empty tables. I’ll definitely go back.

So, I get dragged here practically every Sunday morning by my best friend. She’s obsessed with this place, but honestly, it’s not all that. The food is often bland, and I’m 80% sure that you can get better food at your local diner. The endless biscuits are great … I can’t lie. BUT you can get food like this anywhere. Just saying!

I love Cracker Barrel, this location was busy this am, for a Saturday that is good! I love the old country sytyle setting and the country store. I just love going into the dining room and when they have the fire place going makes the setting even better?!

Been going here for years. My wife insists that i eat«normal» food at least once a week, so we come here. Meat loaf’s good, chicken & rice’s good, ditto shrimp & grits. And the servers are friendly.

I am a southern cooking fan. I was sort of excited to go to Cracker Barrel since there isn’t one by where I live. I expected more out of the tastiness of items like chicken fried steak(skimpy on the gravy), fried okra(over cooked), hash brown casserole(cold). Corn muffins were very good. Friendly service. Overall okay but I expected a bit more in food quality.

So after our bad experience at IHOP we went here. The people were very nice and kind. They actually acted like they were glad we were there although they were busy. Our food came out fast the baby’s was out right away. I never like it here before just cause i am a picky eater, but the food was great and we will be going back. We had eggs in a basket GREAT and i had pancakes, eggs, bacon. The service was good, good food and then the baby was happy so everyone was happy.

I went here with a bunch of vegetarian. Which made me think maybe I didnt want to be here. I was judging the place before I even seen the menu. But I was pleasantly surprised the hashbrown casserole was amazingly good. I had fresh warm biscuits with fried apples. The apples were perfectly fried not mushy, but soft and sweet. And scrambled eggs which I had fried hard and they were scrambled perfectly. I really enjoyed this place. People are so nice in the mid-west lol

I am a HUGE Cracker Barrel fan. But I think I am also a HUGE fan of what I cant get at home. I used to love In-n-out burger and krispy kremes but when they came to Cali, I stopped going. I don’t think that is the case for Cracker Barrel, I am a huge fan of breakfast and I was in heaven. Grits! Sweet Tea! All my down home favorites on tap and it was good. The bacon was awesome and the eggs were scrambled until fluffy and soft. I didn’t try an of the specials because I need to make like 15 more trips to try everything on the menu. Our server was very funny and entertaining. I really liked this Cracker Barrel om particularbecause I felt like it was very diverse. From the staff and the patrons there were all types of people there which I like and made me feel at home. Overall — yummy food!!! When are you guys coming to Northern Cali!!!

I «THINK» this is the one we went to… Anyway, this was my first time at a Cracker Barrel. I guess it is something that everyone knows about in the mid-west and the east coast. It was ok. The place kind of reminded me of a cross between a cafeteria and a hole in the wall BBQ place. We had breakfast there. What we ordered: 1) Sunrise Sampler: Two eggs any style, Grits, Sawmill Gravy with buttermilk biscuits and REAL butter, Fried Apples, Hashbrown Casserole, Smoked Sausage, Country Ham, and Thick Sliced Bacon. yeah… heart stopper… 2) Strawberry pancakes Overall, the place had Denny’s quality food but with a country twist. For instance, the ham was real ham, not the processed kind. People raved about the hashbrown casserole, but I didn’t really like it. It had no flavor and the consistency was not quite right.
