I liked the shrimp po boy and loved the potato salad! I also enjoyed the location kind of off the beaten path and hidden away. I felt like the shrimp in the po boy was a little over fried but still tasty.

Mmmmmmmm oh get ready to treat your palate to a mouth watering delight! What an amazing score this restaurant is on Amelia Island. Stumbled upon it thru Unilocal.Selected a Friday night in February to engage in some cajun cuisine. What a lovely surprise to be greeted by an eclectic array of statues as you walked in to the charming entrance. Since it was busy we sat outside under heaters. This was no problem at all because once the food arrived at your table nothing else matter. We started our meal with the sweetest fried oysters you could imagine. However the highlight was the shrimp and grits. You cannot miss this signature dish. Beyond Fabulous. Be sure to ask for bread to swoop up every last taste of their magnificent sauce. Can’t wait to come back!!! Soooooo worth it!

Here it is the 20th anniversary of our engagement. Dinner at Lulu’s was the obvious place to celebrate. They make us feel like regulars even when we only show up every now and then. Service — exceeds expectations despite ours being very high based on previous experiences. Food — never had a mouth full that wasn’t excellent. Atmosphere — only damped by these kids we bring with us. They are ours and they love getting to come to Lulu’s. Another encore experience at Lulu’s because it left us wanting to come back. If you are in the neighborhood, come get you some. Just like the Arnold, We’ll be back

While vacationing at The Omni Plantation, we went to LuLu’s for dinner. Wow… I wish they were nearby. We’d eat there once a week. My husband had the Macaroni and Cheese and said it was the best meal he’d ever had. I had the shrimp and grits and it was scrumptious. Sauce was just the right amount of spicy and the grits and shrimp were cooked perfectly… just delicious Service was great and atmosphere was charming… but casual. Highly recommend.

Excellent Shrimp and grits. Just the right amount of heat. Very soul soothing with lots of cream and andouille. Great ambiance. Enjoyed it very much. Will come back when I’m in town.

It’s not a fast food joint, but it may as well should be… the servers don’t know where the food is sourced. Not even the eggs,(which after the waitress ran about asking different ppl, found out are not free range) even Though they do brunch. Another typical north Florida Restaurant, for food goers that don’t really care what they are eating, or what quality off ingredients are used. The server has a real nasty attitude.

Such a gem in the historic part of Amelia Island. I love little quaint places and this restuarant did not disappoint. I went in today for lunch with my boyfriend and loved that there wasn’t a lot if tables/seating, it made it a very intimate dining experience. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I had the crab cake appetizer and the shrimp po boy. They were to die for! I’m originally from Maryland, so I know a thing or two about crabs, and the crab cake is one of the best I’ve had since moving down to Florida. The po boy was seasoned to perfection as well. This place definitely earned a return customer today.

This place is tucked away near the beach but not in the beach. I’m so happy I found it. The shrimp and grits are to die for and my husband had the andouille sausage sandwich. The food, service was great. I highly recommend.

The shrimp po boy and fish tacos were nothing more than ok. They were lacking flavor, spice and passion. I don’t cook much but could have cooked something better at home. The beans were so mediocre we didn’t even take more than one bite each. They were out of rice. The house salad lettuce had leaves with black mushy spots on the edges. This place isn’t anywhere close to five stars. Save your time and money.

We are a group of traveling musicians that have had everythin from Philly cheesestakes in philly, to 5 star French cuisine in paris and this place is without question in the top 3. the service was impecible. such a kind staff. the food was extremly prompt. and the taste of it was phenomenal. i had the crab cake benedict and i could easily eat one or two every morning. everything from the coffee to the salad was incredible. we ordered both breakfast and lunch to go because we knew we would be craving it later. if you are ever within a 100 mile radius of this place, you should make it a point to stop in. did i mention my bill for all my food(benedict, salad, soup, and togo omelette w coffe) was under $ 50??? one of the best places ive ever been!!! — Nate Fox and Peter Cottontale of The Social Experiment

Loved this place! The place is cute and eccentric in its décor, but the food and service are professional and excellent. We were here for brunch, although you can order from the full menu. But we had two brunch items, a sausage and grits cake(best sausage gravy and best grits cake ever!) and an oyster eggs Benedict. Great fried oysters! We finished off with a house-made blueberry cobbler which was buttery and perfect. Very highly recommended! My first visit but not my last!

First time guest even though we come here often as part time residents. Have heard many good things and wanted to go for lunch. Shrimp and grits piqued my curiosity, disappointed when it wasn’t on the lunch menu… much to my satisfaction the waitress said they could make it for me. I was not disappointed any longer and elated when she served my entrée. Sauce makes the dish. This sauce has a creole flavor to enhance the ingredients. Just perfect! My wife had a nicely dressed salad with rock shrimp, very light dressing so you could taste the lettuce and shrimp. Total thumbs up here! First of many more visits to come.

This was our first time here and had seen the great reviews. I’m hoping it was just an off night. While it wasn’t horrible it wasn’t great either. The food was pretty good, but they seemed to be struggling on the service side of things. We waited 10 minutes before our waitress arrived to take drink orders. It took another 10 minutes to get a drink menu for my wife. They were sold out of the steak special I wanted. And they were out of ketchup for kids meals(3 kids dining with us). They did manage to pull together enough for them to get the taste of it on their food. Food was pretty good. Just a lot of little, negative things with the dining experience. Probably just an off night given the positive reviews from everyone else.

Lulu’s was recommended to us by a friend. The oyster & shrimp po boys were outstanding! The baguettes were chewy, the gulf seafood was fresh, and the Sriracha sauce was the perfect touch. They were better than the po’ boys we’ve had in New Orleans! The Cajun potato salad was the perfect accompaniment. Lulus is a charming, shabby chic café right off of Centre Street.

Wow what a low key location and look and what amazing food! After getting just drinks at the waterfront diner, we were walking around and looking for a casual lunch place. Stumbled across LuLu and immediately noticed the high ratings on Unilocal. The outdoor dining area is non smoking(thank goodness!!) so we have it a try. We both got a PoBoy shrimp sandwich except mine was grilled and my husband’s was fried. We both absolutely loved them! I’ve had PoBoys in New Orleans but I must say I liked this one better. The bread, the shrimp, the everything! I also had a house salad which was generous, fresh and nice. The wine glass is a large pour too! We may actually come back to Amelia Island just for that PoBoy!

Head to LuLu’s for the BEST seafood poboy you will ever have. If they have them in season, get the fried rock shrimp — those sweet little shrimp are an adult version of popcorn shrimp. So good! They don’t skimp on the seafood either! Great portions! The bread is what really sets their poboy apart from the rest — the bread is fluffy and slighty moist, very fresh, yet still maintains that crunch you find in New Orleans style poboys. The restaurant itself is a bit small and indoor seating is extremely limited. If you come during peak hours during the summer busy season, expect a bit of a wait. I suggest coming during the week for a late lunch and you’ll have your pick of seating, indoor or patio.
