These guys are super knowledgable. Got right to the heart of my framing situation and offered really good advice and suggestions. FYI they are open Tuesday-Friday 10 – 5:30 and Saturday 10 – 2. Dont go on Monday!

Great customer service. The nicest people work here. I took in a large piece of art that my Grandpa did and needed it framed. They preserved all the antique aging that the art had gotten while still making it look clean and fresh in the frame. I will be taking more items to be framed here. They have good prices as well.

We decided to try this shop based on Elvis’s review and had a fab experience. We got great advice but also the freedom of the shop to pull down potential frames on our own. I can’t say how much I appreciate the collaborative feel, and also the ability to try out frames without needing to ask someone else to pull the frames off the wall. The prices were reasonable considering the unusual frames and how beautifully our pieces came out. The guys at the shop are knowledgeable about their wares and also offer alternatives to save you money if you’re looking to cut corners. Thank you, Rose Frame Shop!

Trying to stay more and more local brought me to this little shop. I purchased some original prints from a local artist(signed and numbered thank you very much high brows) I will omit who this artist is because I fear he will become mainstream and I’ll peer into Starbucks(from the sidewalk of course) and see his shit on the wall and FLIPTHEF****OUT! ANYWAYS…this is the place the artist gets his prints framed and recommended it. Terry, who has been there thirty years(love it) was the Cats Ass. He put forth much effort in dealing with my picky punk ass by being patient and showing me many different frames and matte options. He also wasn’t put off by my tight(the tightest!) student budget. I had already priced how much it was going to cost at homogeneous Michael’s and Jo Ann Fabrics and Terry’s prices were exactly the same. Even if it would have cost a little more the time Terry took to talk with me about the prints and what he suggested would have been worth the extra dough. Their selection of frames are distinct and with many one offs. No row after row of endless Pier One chipped overpriced garbage or Ikea snap ons. Not one frame looked alike and all were of good tenable quality. Terry let me run around the shop like a kid pulling this frame and that frame and being ridiculous. He even got ridiculous and creative with me! It was cool to see someone excited about their craft and not just clerking. In the end Terry and I chose some vintage frames for my prints. He matched them up perfectly with the right mattes and the shit looks sick. In addition the end product is going to come with wires on the back ready for hanging. This was not included in the price given by Joann’s or Michael’s. With a two week turnaround time I will have my prints framed gorgeously and in time for gift giving. Terry said he would wrap them old school in brown paper ready for my daddy be santa claus endeavors. Love this guy.
