Sweet Basil catered our wedding in August of 2015. I have never heard so many guests at a wedding say they LOVED the food! I was just thrilled to hear so many raves from our guests. Sweet Basil and staff nailed our food choices, as we had preferences on Food Sources, Organic, Local, etc. They did everything we asked and more! and all within our budget.

I hired Sweet Basil Catering for my June 2014 wedding and I am so glad I did! My husband and I came across them at a wedding fair in Napa and decided to give them a call. Yvette, the owner, was so wonderful to work with throughout the whole process.
I first contacted Yvette over a year before the wedding date and scheduled a tasting right away. Yvette traveled to my home, bringing samples of some of the foods I was interested in, and the whole tasting experience was a breeze. Over the next year, Yvette was in contact with me, my wedding planner, and the other vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly.
The day of the wedding, I was so impressed with Yvette and her staff. The food was displayed exquisitely and the tables were set beautifully. The staff was helpful and always around without ever being intrusive. My guests raved about the food. I was especially impressed at Yvette’s willingness to assist my gluten-​free and dairy-​free family and friends in finding the options they could have. There was something for everyone!

When I began planning my wedding back in fall 2014 for this summer of 2015, I was doing EVERYTHING on my own & starting from scratch; with no professional planner, no prior experience being in a wedding, & as the eldest child am the 1^st to marry, with no older siblings to get advice from. All I had were a few timeline check lists I found online & one very helpful website telling me what to do.
When I began my search for catering companies (a simple Google search), I was a bit surprised at how little I was able to find; but I set out about contacting the handful or so caterers I was able to discover via email to inquire on their availability on my wedding date & pricing information. (This was the 1^st vendor I had sought without any previous personal connections, so I was pretty nervous.)
Most of the companies I reached out to did not respond for a week (or more), all except for Yvette at Sweet Basil Catering. Yvette replied to my email the VERY NEXT DAY; she was not only the 1^st, but also the ONLY caterer to get back to me for several days. In addition to a prompt reply, Yvette was extremely warm and kind in her email & seemed truly invested in establishing communication between us.
Unfortunately, Sweet Basil Catering had already booked another couple’s wedding the same day as mine, and therefore could not enter into a business relationship with me; but made this info known as soon as possible & still gave their apologies & best wishes for my fiancé and myself. I felt that Yvette did an exemplary job of representing her business in not only a professional manner, but also in a caring, friendly, and personable manner as well.
And if that isn’t enough, just the other day (several weeks afterwards) I received a follow-​up email from Yvette, saying she & everyone at SBC were wishing us well & good luck with our wedding plans! I was VERY pleasantly surprised. This was completely unexpected, and simply Yvette going out of her way in an act of kindness!
Then this Sunday I finally got to meet Yvette & sample the food at Sweet Basil’s booth at the Bridal Fair at the Fortuna River Lodge (which by the way was delicious); and when I semi-​introduced myself as ‘the girl who was so impressed by your prompt reply’, Yvette says,“Oh, Lindsey! Nice to meet you!”… Warmly addressing me by my first name… I was shocked! My fiancé was like, ‘she knows you?’ in surprise.
All in all, though I’ve never done business with them, I can honestly say that Sweet Basil Catering would be a wonderful company to work with and anyone would be lucky to have them on their team for any kind of special event. They definitely made a very positive impression on me. :)

Sweet Basil catered our wedding in October and hands down it was the best service I have ever experienced and the food was spectacular. I cannot wait to have their delicious dishes again!
We sat down to begin planning and could not choose between all of their incredible options so they helped us plan a tasting menu of approximately a dozen appetizers and small bites featuring some of our favorite foods as well as Irish dishes honoring our heritage. Being two huge foodies, we knew the menu had to be memorable and Yvette & her team did not disappoint. Friends & family are still raving about the late night tomato soup shots & grilled cheese served as the party was wrapping up.
