Trilby’s BBQ Sauce

The air I breathe has more flavor then their Spicy Seven Pepper Dip! Some heat at the end but NO flavor at all! My wife bought this at a craft fair and said the sample they were handing out was good. I mixed the packet with 2 cups of sour cream and what a waste of sour cream. I have another brand of dip mix that is 1000% better and I am going to see if I can salvage the sour cream by adding it.
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEIR BLAND DIP!

I admit that I haven’t tried any of the BBQ sauces and I don’t plan to. Here’s why: they may have won awards and all but from reading the labels on Mild and Spicy BBQ Sauce bottles the fourth ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. After all that is known about the detrimental HFCS is not a natural sugar. It’s just a cheap sweetener and a money saver for the food company that uses it. It can cause a variety of digestive and health problems.
In addition to HFCS, regular corn syrup is used. Brown sugar is the 2^nd listed ingredient so this tells you that these sauces contain a lot of sugar. There are very good BBQ sauces out there which don’t use all that sugar and don’t use HFCS. When I’m not in the mood to make up my own BBQ sauce, those are the ones I search out and buy.
