The place is fairly new — a few months??? It took a little time to work out some bugs but they have hit the mark. The menu has expanded and the food is authentic and delicious. Friendly staff, very clean, inexpensive and great food. Tough to beat it.

So happy to have a place to go for good food — meals I remember from my childhood. Been back few times and the menu has plenty of choices to satisfy your pallet. The food is very good and the drinks are delish! It’s family friendly for all ages and it also has a full bar separate from the dining area where you can also order food and watch your favorite sports team on the Flat screen T’V.‘s displayed over the bar. Cooks are super nice and when I return I will have to thank the Chef. I’ve been here for both lunch and dinner and from my experience they have always served generous portions for everyone at my table. If you need a little more spice just ask — if your pallet prefers the mild side(like I do) just say so. There’s always a table waiting for you and there’s never too big of a party you are bringing with you. I just wish they had a web site so I can check for other events they might be hosting. If I can watch the Manny Pacquiao fight or Ronda Rousey that would be a plus for me. I haven’t found anything wrong with this place and I hope it stays that way. Ok, so here is the method to my madness on how I am rating El Sombrero Taqueria. 5 — STARS — Great Food, Good Menu, Friendliness, Reasonable Prices, Generous Portions and last but not least. I especially like the fact that I can enjoy my meals without the smell of cigarette smoke in the air or walking through a maze of slot machines. I will definitely go back!

I was excited about a taqueria coming, usually theyr’e quite yummy. I went in today for the first time hoping for tacquitos. My favorite mexican treat. No dice. The gal at the counter actually didn’t even know what I was talking about. Ok. So I went with an asada burrito. It doesn’t come with chips and salsa so I paid extra for that, along with a soda. $ 11 later I went home. Let’s start with the chips. I’ve had better chips from a bad at the grocery store. For real. The«salsa» she actually put in a styrofoam box so of course it started running out the sides on the way home, it is really like a red liquid with some randome pieces of I think maybe cilantro thrown. VERYWIERD. Now onto the burrito, I’m half way done(it’s huge btw) and really, it just lacks any flavor. I haven’t yet come into the guac which is supposed to be in there according to the menu. Overall…just not impressed and wont be spending $ 11 there again.

This place was a nice surprise! Five stars is perhaps a bit much, but after being at Burning Man for 8 days, this place was amazing!!! The Carne Asada was delicious, salty, and not fatty. Everything was fresh, I would definitely go back!

New place. I ate there when it first opened and it was pretty good but the menu was very limited. Been back about 7 times and the menu has really grown. The food has been very consistent and good. Not a bad item yet. Super Chicken Burrito as big as taco stand across the street for $ 5.99. The home made sauces are also very good. Staff has been VERY friendly. Salsa bar coming soon… Support Local !!

Eaten at this place twice and have had good meals both times. I will be going back again to try more of the menu items. Very friendly staff and I do recommend to others. Resonable prices for the amount of food served. Very tasty homemade salsa.

Lunch time had the chicken taco and pork torta. Tasted great with the guacamole! Super friendly staff, clean and well lighted interior and cooking area. Nice place to have lunch. Cashier said menu would be expanding soon. Will be eating there again!

New business. First time not a good impression. Bland rice and beans. So-so tacos. Refried beans are the test of good Mexican cooking. Food was too cheap and product reflects it. This place needs to raise its prices and get cooks who can improve food to at least what you can get from a truck or street taco place.
