Great stuff. When you drive up its located in an unassuming strip-center. Once you get past this, its great. The service was topnotch, and the food great! A gem of a place. If you find yourself hungry and in the Festus area, try it out. You wont be disappointed. I had the classic sampler of red beans and rice, jambalaya, and gumbo. Everything was delicious. The gumbo stood out the most however. Tons of flavor.

I absolutely love this place. True hidden gem in Festus. If you’re looking for a Cajun night out this is your place. Gator bites for an app is a must. The smothered chicken is so filling you could share it with someone. Fried catfish absolutely mouth watering. They also have blues music on the weekend. Love this place will continue to go.

$ 3 margarita special on Thursday night. Very tasty and actually had alcohol in them! BBQ shrimp appetizer had 6 shrimp w/3 slices of grilled French bread for $ 11…pricey for the area but VERY tasty. Great flavor! The catfish with crawfish étouffée was as close to Louisiana as you can get in MO! Nice sized portion! Decent service too. Limited outdoor seating.

We stopped here based on google reviews and it was amazing! Poppy seed house dressing was great! I had Italian Chicken w/mashed potatoes. Husband had BBQ shrimpalaya. Both were just delicious. Service was fast! Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was fun and friendly. Glad we took a chance!

Stopped in for lunch, sat at the bar. Had a PoBoy catfish sandwich and fries. I didn’t think the sandwich was special, the catfish was over battered in my opinion, so you couldn’t really get the catfish flavor. The fries were seasoned with a Cajun spice which was nice. Don’t think the sandwich was worth $ 9. I did look at their lunch menu, however everything was priced at $ 10, which I thought was pricy for bar food, be it Cajun… Will probly go back, given the choices in Festus, MO… Did I mention the bar maid was nice and curtious, she was

Don’t know why I didn’t try this place sooner it is awesome! Started with a cup of the jambalaya and it was delicious, highly recommended you at least try it. Had the jalapeño burger special and it was great too, only reason I’m not giving this place a 5 star is they would only go as low as medium for the burger, and it was closer to medium well. Still very tasty. The fries had a great seasoning on them as well.

Been there 4 – 5 times. each time the food was excellent. I never had cajun/creole dish that wasn’t delicious. main entrees and sandwiches are also worth it. Wait staff is just par so don’t expect excellent table service but the food is worth putting up with average service.

This bistro and bar serves Southern food. The waitstaff was friendly and the food arrived quickly. I ordered the Catfish Poor Boy sandwich and seasoned fries. It was incredibly delicious. It was the best Po’ Boy sandwich I had in a long time. The catfish was hot, tender, flaky and had a nice crunchy batter. The seasoned fries were warm and crispy.

So I should lead this off saying that I’m from the Deep South and since moving to Missouri I’ve been looking for a good place to get the food I left behind. This place was not it. I ordered the New York strip, the flavor was awesome but the cut of meat was terrible, large piece of gristle through most of the meat making it hard to enjoy the $ 20 piece of meat. I had gumbo as a side and it was almost inedible, my wife had the sampler and the red beans and rice and jambalaya definitely weren’t worth the money. About the only thing that looked great was the po boy sandwiches, needless to say we won’t be back.

Pretty solid menu… the oyster sliders were decent & the gumbo is of good quality. The service was a tad slow. Just a plain Ol’ average joint though.

Delicious food!!! Fried ravioli, jambalaya, grilled Cajun chicken salad, and strip were fantastic. Good live music. It was a guy and a guitar. He did a great job. Great voice, good song choices. I say this because a full on band can be a little loud and hard to have a convo around. A must for the food!!!

Took several business acquaintances by to try my latest small town find. What a hit. Best creole this side of Pontchartrain. A little pricey but well worth it if you find yourself near there. I will make the drive from STL from now on. I now have people wanting to go back to Festus just so they can eat there. Most are usually picky and critical.

Found this food haven on Unilocal; we were in town and wanted a good meal for Valentine’s Day. Not only were we not disappointed, but our expectations were exceeded! We called ahead to have our name on the list, but they called for our party just before we got there. The hostess made a note and seated us as soon as we walked in — something she had every right to not do! They were very busy, but that did not affect the food. We ordered BBQ shrimp, BBQ shrimpalya, the classic sampler and crawfish étouffée. The owner came out and showed us how to eat the whole crawfish(there was crawfish meat in the étouffée, too). Good portion sizes, poppyseed vinaigrette salad dressing and blue cheese salad dressing were big hits. Only complaint? Kind of small and poorly lit, no good signage from the main road. We can’t wait to go back again!

We had a great Cajun-New Orleans meal here, the Shrimp Po Boy was near perfect, a nice amount of heat and a good amount of fried shrimp, and the crawfish etouffe was also nice, albeit not as hot as expected. We sat at the bar and received excellent service from the bartender.
