I stayed here with my girlfriend for our first anniversary while we wine tasted for a couple days. The place is just a few minutes from the«main drag» as far as the wineries are concerned. We were here for just one night and we wished we could have stayed for more. Alice, our host, was insanely accommodating and friendly. She cooked us a great breakfast: homemade scones, strawberries which we dipped in some fresh made Greek yogurt, and a large omelet fully equipped with some fresh avocados. There was also fresh coffee waiting for us when we got up, and it was really good. Her beds were very comfortable and everything was very, very clean. Her house is set on 10 beautiful acres of wooded land on which she farms many different vegetables, fruits, and flowers. She ended up giving us a tour of the property, which was amazing. Some awesome Organic gardens and even her chicken coupe where she’s producing organic eggs. It was surprisingly fun just watching and listening to the chickens for a while. I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to her four-legged co-host, «Sally» :) You were both warm and welcoming and we look forward to our next visit!

We booked last minute a full week over Easter at Casa del la Pradera and just returned back to the bay area. I must say it was the perfect escape from a busy and hectic life. Alice’s house and garden are truly special, her rooms all with windows into her beautiful, lush garden, her beds are very comfortable. This is just the outline but being here is a guarantee for slowing down, finding inner peace, finding back to a rhythm we used to have before we started such a busy life. The farm and literally everything is organic. Alice cooked this amazing and varied(upon request even gluten free) breakfast, she taught us(upon request) to farm, to work in the garden, we talked a lot about life and a healthy lifestyle and she knows so much. She is caring and loving and very attentive. Fiddletown is sweet and small — there is a great horse riding stable nearby Alice can tell you about. If you want to experience a special, healthy, organic, beautiful time, try Alice Kaiser’s place.

Makes me think of Arlio Guthrie’s Alice’s Restaurant. «You can get anything you want, at Alice’s Restaurant». Alice is sweet. What a good cook and great host. Loved her farm and her beautiful dog. Really excellent book collection and views. Alice made us feel welcome and comfortable. Great stories about her farm and life in Fiddletown. If ever we need a room in the area Casa De La Pradera will be our first choice.

We stayed at Casa de la Paradera with our two kids(toddlers) last weekend. This is a beautiful B&B + CSA organic farm in Fiddletown run by Alice Kaiser. We booked both rooms and also requested dinner in addition to breakfast. The rooms were spotless, super comfortable, filled with lots of fabulous books, with tasteful furniture. Our host Alice cooked the most delicious meals for us both for breakfast and dinner.(I was amazed how much food she made for us.) On the way up to Fiddletown, we stopped in Sacramento and saw the California Railway Museum. A big hit with our kids. At Casa de La Paradera, we took walks and the kids enjoyed running around in the garden. They collected eggs, got a tour of the vegetable garden and my son was fascinated by all the insects he dug up. We drove to Volcano one day and had lunch at the Union Pub and stopped at the general store for ice creams. My wife was so happy, that she did not have to cook or wash a single dish all weekend! This is the best B&B we have stayed in so far. Alice thank you for the lovely stay. We will return soon.

Take the drive into the quaint tree filled streets of fiddle town to this fabulous bed and breakfast! Alice was an outstanding host-she made us feel welcome instantly and let us choose which room to stay in during our stay(we chose room 1-see pictures) accommodations were comfortable and clean. The reading area next to windows overlooking the greenery of her property was a nice touch. Breakfast was just as the other reviewer promised, egg fruitata with vegetables she grew from her garden and eggs she gathered from her chicken coop! French pressed coffee and scones made from scratch-how I miss those scones! And fruits/Greek yogurt. we had our fill and took our time departing. On our way out Alice gave us a few cupcakes for the road. Such a wonderful experience and a much needed break from hotels. The personal touches at casa de la praeda will keep us returning for more visits! Ps-eat at restaurant taste in Plymouth this restaurant is just down the road and was voted one of the top 50 restaurants!
