Great trail to walk solo, with family and dogs. The city provides dog doodee bags at almost all access points and garbage disposal so you don’t have to carry it with you which is nice. You will hear and see nature, but it’s not far off from a busy highway and freeway so expect that noise too. I only went about a mile and half 1 direction and returned back. I Don’t know how safe cars are in the lot over here, so I wanted to hurry and make sure all was good. I was the first car of the day, but there were 3 others when I got arrived. I presume those were the people I saw on the trail. Why didn’t I do this before? It’s so close to my home that I can leave my car in the garage and walk over. Nicely paved and cared for which was a surprise. I assume some of my very own taxes go into the maintenance, so I’ll be sure to take advantage going forward. getting my moneys worth. You will pass by what appears to be an old landfill. It’s all covered in grass with gas release valves still poking out. Landfills take decades to complete gas release reduction phase. You can’t smell it though. thank goodness. Maybe someday they will make it a park like they did with Gabriel Park in Portland Oregon where I grew up. In the summer, the trees will provide nice shade, so you won’t get roasted on those blistering summer days. Walking in the rain is peaceful too which is what I did for my first jaunt here. Just wear the right gear. It doesn’t say you can’t ride a bike, so I’ll assume its okay to do that too. Check it out for yourselves and enjoy!
