Hacienda Jalisco

We are new to Frederick and love Mexican food. We decided to try Hacienda Jalisco because of the reviews. All in all the experience was fine. The food and service was pretty good. However, I wasn’t impressed with the house margaritas. First of all, there are no prices on the margarita menu, which always makes me a bit uneasy. However, they were happy to tell us what the prices were when we asked. The house margaritas taste like they are made with a pre-​made mix and barely any tequila. The food was pretty good, but nothing too memorable. The menu is also really large, so it’s a bit overwhelming to pick something out. I feel like the sign of a good restaurant is one that has a smaller menu, but does everything on the menu really well. We went back once more, but we think we’ll be looking elsewhere for Mexican. There are a lot of options in this area, so we feel like we can get better elsewhere.

Firestone, Colorado– This spot went above and way way way beyond what I expected. I called to place an order which I was hoping to have delivered to one of my besties and her fam in celebration of an amazing achievement with their new biz. I figured if we couldn’t be together to down a few margaritas at least we could have a pre-​fiesta apart. I momentarily paused in anticipation of clinking those cold, salt-​rimmed glasses together while shouting, «Salud.» My vision was interrupted when I heard, «we do not deliver.» Buzz kill. I explained to the manager I was having a challenging time finding something outside of pizza that could be delivered to her business and I asked if he had any suggestions of other businesses in the super small town. He paused and said, «we will make a special delivery for you.» «Wow, seriously?!» I responded. The staff member assured me he would personally deliver– THAT is awesome. The restaurant offers several menu options for any taste. They suggested some kiddo ideas that were not traditional Mexican which I went with because kids can be picky. They delivered quickly and my girlfriend said the enchiladas, chili rellenos, taco salad, and kids chicken nuggets and fries were all tasty. Thanks Jalisco!

Like the food a lot. Only complaint is they didn’t have a high chair when I was there with a 1 year old. That isn’t a problem for me now, but it was frustrating at the time.

Well, the service was horrible. WE had 5 people in our party, 3 that ordered the special. The waitress asked if we wanted the special with green chili or red sauce. We all chose green. When the food was delivered, all 3 specials had the red sauce. We asked why we got the red and not the green. The waitress then argued that the special comes with red, but we said you offered green and that is what we were expecting. She then continued to argue saying the green will cost you $ 3 extra. We said forget it and just tried to enjoy our dinner. The owner came by and offered to refill our beverage and said nothing about the confusion. On the way out I ask the owner if he was concerned that his waitress was argumentative? He said he was aware of the issue but still offered no apology. All I can say is, wow. No wonder on a Saturday evening the place was not busy. Probably will not offer any future support of this establishment.

It’s a below average restaurant, with above ave. prices and we will not be back. We like Ephraims or 3 Margaritas or even Chipoltle much better.
Service: Ordered at 6:20, served food at 7:20 (we were a group of 13) and the manager apologized stating they don’t have the staff to handle a large group :(They put all the orders on one check instead of asking us if we wanted separate checks.
Food: we had the mole enchiladas $ 10 and the seafood molcajete $ 20 and Chicken burrito (10) and we thought they all were bland and not enjoyable. I didn’t like the chips and salsa either.
Communication – Language barrier: Some people said they didn’t get what they ordered. The manager misunderstood a request I made.
You can do much better.

This place is legit. Awesome food, great staff and service. I always leave happy! If you want Mexican food, definitely check this place out.

Ordered carry out and showed up after, 20 minutes and they never placed my order with the kitchen. Came back 20 minutes later, still no order. Finally after an hour of waiting my order is ready no apology, no discount and low quality food. Don’t bother!

If it wasn’t for their service, I’d give it one star but the servers were super nice! Sadly, I wouldn’t eat what we ordered ever again. I had a taco de Asada, the meat was the consistency of beef jerky and completely flavorless. My husband had a seafood chimi. Oh so very fishy! Fish should not smell and taste that strong! Margs were ok. May be their fajitas and burritos are good.

Manager need to do a better job training their employees. bought a drink that was no where near a liter like it was advertised. Our waitress was completely clueless and it seemed she had not been trained at all. Waited 20 minutes and tables all around us were getting served. If you see this and you are the manager at this place, train your employees so they don’t waste peoples times and experience.

I had the bean and cheese burrito with some green chile sauce and a Margarita on the rocks. Yum! The green chile had just the right amount of heat.
My husband had the Colorado burrito and cleaned his plate.
The service was good, the bathrooms were clean and the prices very reasonable.

Excellent food and good service. The home made tortillas are delicious. I’ll definitely be back.

The food was decent and the staff was friendly. No problems, but not something to rave about. Decent Mexican food and we will probably be going back.

A small little restaurant that packs big flavor. Everything was delicious and the service was wonderful. Will definitely be going back.

First time last night and have to say the food was good. The service to get chips & salsa was slow, but he got our drink order right away. A lot of menu items to choose from. The place was clean and all employees were friendly. I would go ahead so I can try a few different items.

Hacienda serves up some decent Mexican food in a rustic Mexican environment. The restaurant is clean and there is a spacey patio on the east side of the building, so there is NOT a great deal of sun beating down while enjoying their hot plates. This outdoor area over looks a large field which is quite nice also. When is comes to the food, it is always fresh and always hot out of the kitchen. I enjoy their Chili Relleno (good chili’s and always super crispy), Enchiladas (delicious sauce and melted cheese, I normally get cheese inside as well) and Chalupas (fantastic fried flour tortilla with fresh ingredients, lettuce, tomatoes etc.). Hacienda’s shredded beef is tender and quite tasty also and is an optional filling. Beans and rice are your standard Mexican style, and the cheese is always crispy and melted! They also have a $ 1 margarita, even beyond happy hour, which is actually not to bad for what it is. Enjoy :)

Service and food here is always good! These guys make some of the best margaritas anywhere!
Looking for good authentic Mexican food, this is the place.

I’ve been here twice and have not been disappointed. Happy hour beers are a little small, but love the chilled glass. Had Carne Asada the last time. It was seasoned wonderfully. Usually it’s hit or miss due to the marinade but these guys get it right. I asked for medium rare and it was done perfectly. They are a little pricey, so should do some of the extras you can get elsewhere, like a grilled jalapeño and green onions on top. Will definitely return

Small town Mexican… done right!
We go here several times a month and we’re always leaving happy. They have a TON of options for margaritas — and I haven’t met one yet that I disliked. They use fresh lime juice, have lots of tequila choices… and in the event that you don’t particularly like your marg? They’ll remake it to your liking. Bravo.
Their servings are hearty. Big fan of that. I often get their nachos with chicken… yum. I’ve also really enjoyed their tacos, chiles rellenos and enchiladas. My boyfriend’s favorite dish is what I like to call the «Man Meal»…it’s a piping hot stone bowl filled with thinly sliced, marinated steak and veggies. He loves it and it is A TON of food.
We’ve only ever had to wait for a table once, and only for about 10 minutes (Friday night, 7 pm). Otherwise you can almost always get seated right away. The staff is attentive and friendly. BONUS!
Wait, good food, friendly staff, generous portions and small town feel? Is this real life?

Not bad but not really much to gush about here. Food was decent and pricing was a little high for the environment (a grocery store shopping center). The server came out to tell me that rice & beans do not come with my meal and I said «fine». Then the meal shows up with rice and beans but no guac as per the menu. Whatever. I also get irritated when we have to wait to pay. Bring the check promptly please!

We ordered take out the other night, both the wife and I got burritos, and the kids got a few items off the kids menu (same as they did when we went there).
All items were packed well, they also included chips and salsa. The burritos were VERY good. This is now our Mexican restaurant, and not just in our area, but one will we make efforts to go to! I hope they keep up the great work!
BTW. this should be a 4.5, but I can’t give that half… bummer.
