Great service! My mani/pedi was wonderful! Kim was fantastic! Clean salon as well. Will definitely be back!

First I hate giving bad reviews but I’ve had a lot of pedis in my life and this is hands down the worst pedi I have ever gotten. From the color choices to actual service.

I think I found my nail salon and pedi-place, as I sigh a great big aaah of relief. Any woman knows with so many choices at reasonably similar prices… picking or finding one that does a good job making you feel welcome, not sanding your fingers like they were car parts instead of fingers, while also maybe even being able to converse with you. or at least being friendly, well its a jungle out there. But, YAY! I not only found all those things, I found more. D&G is close to home, so I treated myself to a pedicure and got a fill on my acrylics with a gel topcoat; and the pedi was heaven and the nails turned out perfectly. The pedi was like a calf and foot massage that was so luxuriously long I felt almost guilty, and she talked and laughed with me while her hands made my feet feel brand new(mind you, the place was empty, but I’ll take it! Mooahaha; so, be aware my review was during the morning — lunchish time). And as for my mani, the nail tech asked me questions all along the way making sure it was exactly how I wanted. She was so gentle; there areas that were raw from a previous salon’s treatment(see my other review) and she was apologetic and so tender with my fingers. My only precaution for a new client is to understand that pricing is as stated on the menu. Know that and there will be no miscommunications and you’ll leave with your money’s worth. These women are engaging. They seemed to care about the customer and take pride in their work. They are a mother-daughter pair, ha! Like a mani-pedi superhero duo, fighting foot fungus and ugly fingers! I can here the dudududaaaa! Ok, maybe no capes, but they definitely saved me from a string of short but bad nail salon relationships(see my other review for where NOT to go). Until further notice this is my spot.

This salon is one of the best I’ve been too. The service is outstanding and their skills are unmatched. I’m from out of town but always try to stop by when I’m in the area. The employees are so friendly and create such a welcoming atmosphere.

So, I am from Chicago visiting my family in the area and needed to keep my weekly manicure commitment. It was Sunday so it was difficult to find a place that was open but with the help of my nieces we found this place. Let me first say that my nieces nails looked great, they got the gel polish and Kim did their nails, a very nice lady; however, my experience was completely different unfortunately. The lady that did my nails was very much in a hurry. When I told her to clip my nails and round them, she told me they were too short to clip and she would file them down… huh? That should have been the first warning. Then she started to do the cuticles, she put the cuticle softener on but let my fingers soak for two minutes. When she started to do the cuticles she gripped them then pulled up… yes, very much ouch which is what I told her to which she replied«oh does that hurt?» While she filed my nails I noticed skin splinters everywhere and I told her so she snipped each one like they were a pair of scissors and seemed annoyed to have to do it again. I then started mentioning to her she seemed to be in a big hurry and no other manicure I have ever received has ever hurt… her reply was silence. Not only was it a non-response BUT to add insult to injury she kept telling the lady behind me she would be with her in a few minutes… my nails were no where near done. Then finally the nail polish: to make a long story a little shorter… there was polish on the front of my fingers, I thought she would catch it but when she announced we were finished I pointed it out. She then used the brush and wiped it off BUT after I dried my nails I looked at them again and Polish was still there! then asked the nice lady Kim to clean it up. I then complained to Kim about her co worker and she was apologetic and told me she would do my nails next time… maybe for my nieces but sorry, not for me. My nails are all different lengths and shapes. The honest truth is they would have looked better if I just waited to get them done a week later. Now I have to let them grow out(I think… or cut some.) I am not saying NOT to go here, but what I do suggest if you see any signs like I did you address it immediately otherwise your nails will look like a little kid did them. Good luck on your quest for nice looking hands,! I am in recovery mode after my latest effort.

Here are my nails at 28 days from my salon visit — July 1-July 29. Close up clear signs of wear, some edge peeling, but aside from two«accidents» no significant chipping from the normal wear. Right index finger was broken when I tried to open a locked file cabinet and small chip on right toe from kicking a chair. Both repaired — small dab of similar color polish(you can see if you look close) on right toe and clear nail Polish was used to re-adhere the broken nail and gel piece that came off my right index finger — not the best repair but from a distance nails look ok. Grow out is starting to look bad now. Need a new appointment at d&g soon! Great service and my weekly review has hopefully demonstrated the quality I have experienced the last 5 years at this salon, not to discredit anyone else because I’m sure accidents happen and nothing’s perfect — I’ve had consistently good results at d&g. :)

Walked in for a brow wax and they were able to take me back immediately. She did a beautiful job! Everyone was super friendly and the price was perfect. Most of the time salons in Fishers are priced higher. Will definitely be returning!

This place was horrible! The nail technician did my gel mani and it looked like I had painted my nails. Also, the nail polish looks like it is separating from the color so it looks like I smashed them against something. I asked her about it and she said oh they are fine. They look horrible and she still charged me. I will never go back.

I went to this place because I heard good things. I had a HORRIBLE experience and will not be going back. My nails were done by someone who I am almost positive has no license. They shook the entire time, took double the amount of time and gave me a horrible French manicure. I went hoping to have nice nails for my Engagement pictures, but I feel that I myself could have done a better job. I left the salon wanting to cry. I understand new people leaning, but I don’t think this person had ever been professionally trained. To top it all off, the area where I had my feet while getting my toes polished had a towel. After I got up, the towel was left and they sat a new lady down using the same towel for her feet. How unsanitary! You are supposed to be relaxed in a nail place… not wanting to cry the entire time. Take my advice and choose another place!

Good things first: The staff were very nice. Now the not such good things: My gel manicure didn’t stick. Ya know how you pay extra for the good stuff, the stuff that is supposed to last two weeks? Yeah, well my didn’t. Two days following my manicure my husband handed me my perfectly formed nail polish that had apparently peeled off my nail and landed on the couch. I looked and saw it had happened to another finger too. I’ve had gel manicures two times before and that has never happened. Usually it is impossible to get off. This time, it wouldn’t stay on. That ended up being a big waste of money. The pedi felt great(and is still on my toes despite it being just regular polish) but the water was a bit too warm for my liking. I didn’t say anything because it only took me a few minutes to get used to. The problem was when my feet had to be rinsed off from the soap and the water from the sprayer practically burned my feet it was so hot. Talk about not relaxing. The only other thing which was minor but still took away from the experience was when they offered me a glass of wine. They said they had white and red. I asked for red and was handed white zinfandel in a styrofoam cup. I couldn’t even choke it down. I should have gotten the water instead. So much for my enjoyable mani/pedi. :-(

OK… I go to a LOT of these places… I love pedicures — specifically DELUXE pedis. They are a little more and in MOST cases, I rarely get my money’s worth. A lot of these nail salons are«burn and turn» to get the most out of their day. For some reason, I never EVER feel rushed here. I had gone here a few years ago but never returned b/c it’s not in my «Carmel» circle. But recently I had a friend who goes with me to nail salons get an apartment near this location and I remembered it. We both agree that we will no longer venture out to another nail place. The staff here is awesome. They are always super warm and friendly. They have a ton of great color options and can do anything you want nail-wise. They do have winter hours which means they close a little earlier than some but I don’t mind. It is RARELY busy — I am pretty sure we are always able to get two seats together. We’d also be willing to wait b/c we like it that much. The one time there was a wait, they were happy to put our names in, went and had lunch and were waiting with water in the pedi chairs ready to go when we got back. Very good service! The salon itself does NOT smell like some of these joints. Somehow it is well ventilated and it appears very clean and well kept. They do have a lot of old magazines but they look new and are not piled erratically everywhere. It’s in the details. It seems like they really care about the appearance and I like that. The deluxe pedi is AMAZING and as I mentioned the best I’ve ever had anywhere. It is $ 35 and lasts an HOUR. NORUSHING and WELLWORTHIT. They are often telling me to relax… put my phone away(not in a rude way — in a concerned way), use the massage chair, watch TV, reeeeeeeelax. Love it. They do not speak in a foreign language in front of the clients, always are very personable and very nice the whole time we are getting our toes done. The deluxe includes a lotion massage, which leaves your skin feeling amazing and the massage itself is always really lovely. Then they do a mud mask with lavender which is soooo inviting and tingling in a good way all the way to the knee. Afterwards, they wrap my legs in warm towels for a few minutes… awww, I am dreaming of it now. It is so wonderful. In regards to the actual pedi, they are very good. I have been injured in the past and I am particularly sensitive to the scrubbing of the feet. And while it tickles, she always goes very fast and holds tight to eliminate the tickling as much as possible. They ASK before they razor, which I think is important b/c I don’t need and rarely want a razor on the bottom of my feet. Sometimes, other places do not cut my toenails short enough but she is always happy to keep clipping if I want but not aggressively. She is very cautious and does a great job. As for how long it lasts, I travel a lot and swim on my trips usually. In MOST cases, the pedi lasts about three weeks before I really start noticing I need a paint change. I really feel for what you are getting this is one of the best places in the Indy area, as I’ve been to a TON and never gotten such a relaxing, laid back, non-rushed experience. I have been three times in the last three months and everytime it is great. They also DONOT rush to pay like some places. They allow us to sit and dry, chat and do not interrupt. They escort us to the front to pay when we are ready. I love that. TIP: Bring cash and you get 10% off your bill. I always use that plus $ 5 to tip and they are always very gracious.
