Penn Station East Coast Subs

Usually the food is very good but this time was a disappointment. No flavor and my 8″ sandwich was very small. «We measure them», they told me. Maybe her thumb was on the 8, who knows? The staff wasn’t very friendly and they seemed very concerned to be talking poorly of another employee in front of customers. I’ll likely go back but if the food isn’t better it will be a last time.

I have gone here a few times and the lack of cleanliness always bothered me (they weren’t wearing gloves either time), but my sandwich was good so I would go back. My husband picked up a sandwich for me today and I found two hairs inside. Never going again.

I can’t believe that I have 19 freaking check ins at the time of this review ($ 200?) About once every couple weeks I absolutely love me a Chicken Parm or Reuben with fries. More than that and I get burned out.
Located next to Big Red Liquors on 116^th… easy parking area to get in and out of. Place is very busy around lunch but lines always seem to move quickly. The same staff has been there for a while and my impression is they work well together.
Good sammichs, great bread, higher prices.

Placed a carry out order. Staff was friendly, restaurant was clean, food was good and made correctly with all special instructions. Enjoyed the fresh lemonade too.

I ate here this evening with my family and while the food is generally good the service is so employee specific you can basically tell what your inshore for when you open the door.
If the A or even B team is working its going to be great if anything less is working its going to suck.
What really is starting to kill me there is I place my order and then we sit and wait and there are four of us and they bring out the sandwiches separately usually two to three minutes between sandwiches???
If you ask me when a table places an order you need to server them at the same time. Nothing worse that your sandwich sitting there getting cold while your waiting for the rest of your party to get their meals before you begin eating.

What you expect from a chain that makes subs. Not cheap at all, I cannot get out of there without dropping $ 12. For the amount of food I get, it is seldom worth it.
I will say their Italian Sub is amazing. I have only every ordered a different sub twice because I always fear nothing can compare to it.
The fries are hit or miss. I have stopped ordering them because they sometimes are undercooked and don’t taste right. However, when they are on, they are on! Just a gamble.
Their cookies are AWESOME. I have often gone here just for a cookie.
The staff at this location is friendly, the place is pretty clean, and the food is good. No real complaints other than price and the hit or miss fries.
Oh, their lemonade is great! Yum!
