To all my Cabana customers I want to apologize for closing my doors. It was the best experience and the biggest risk I had taken with no regrets. My dream still stands as one day I’ll bring back the taste of Puerto Rico to the Hudson Valley in the near future. God bless

I just went to this restaurant for the 1st time and I loved it!!! I had a alcapuria that was out of this world. I also had mondongo with arroz blanco, OMG, not everybody knows how to cook it, but this one was on point, the mondongo was so soft, it was as I didn’t need any teeth to eat it. My husband had the pernil with white rice and sweet platanos, he liked it a lot. Finally found a Latin(Puerto Rican) restaurant that is worth driving to. I almost forgot the music was so good it made me want to dance right there and then! JUSTLOVEDIT!!!

I agree with David N on his initial review. He’s made all the right points… but I gotta take it further baby. The five stars are for real. This is the best Puerto-Rican food I’ve had outside of NYC. Yes, this is a bold statement to make but it’s true. In the past 10 years, the Mid-Hudson Valley region has had(as far as I know) 3 Puerto-Rican restaurants. That’s it! There is a huge latino population up here and they deserve great food. Cabana is a nice spot. The service is fast and the food is amazing. They have ALLDAYLONG daily lunch specials for $ 7 and that includes a free can of soda. The portions are large. The Pernil(Roasted Pork shoulder) is flavorful and tender. The rice & beans are on point(if the arroz con habichuelas weren’t good, this place wouldn’t survive). The Carne Guisada(Puerto Rican Beef Stew) is very yummy, not as good as my own recipe, but it’s still a delightful dish. Rellenos de Papas are big here and full of absolute flavor. The tostones are good as well. The mojito(garlic dipping sauce) is the chronic. I practically grew up «New Yorican» in the boogie down, so I’m really critical about plantains. My goal is to have the Chuletas Fritas(Fried Pork Chops) next time I hit Cabana up. The atmosphere; SLAMMIN. The salsa music is always on and it’s not unusual to dance or watch someone dance here. It’s an ethnic restaurant. It’s all about boriqua pride baby. The prices on the menu will shock you. The dinner entrees run between $ 10.95 to $ 15.95. The most expensive item is $ 23.95(Cabana’s Paranda) and that is a poo-poo platter of practically 75% of the menu itself. Do yourself a favor and don’t wait to come here. Right now, it’s the only Latino restaurant with the best to offer. Be Here Now.

Anyone that is craving arroz con pollo or pernil or tostones and doesn’t have a Puerto Rican aunt you’ve found your salvation! This place was recommended to us by a local police officer and it is terrific! It’s located at the end of a strip mall in Fishkill. The food is so tasty and cheap(don’t tell them I said that, they’ll raise the prices) and they have take-out, so call ahead and pull up and bring home some delicious food!
