Terrible service. Rude waitresses. When we came in the room got quite because me and my guest are ethnic! Then we sat for about 10mins then I started to look around like«where’s the service» then the manger saw my reaction and had to ask not a waitress to derive me… She must of said no because he had to ask a second girl… Smh never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant in my life…

The positive: The service was friendly, attentive, and professional. The calamari was cooked perfectly tender. Beer was cold. The negative: Something gloomy about the interior, some of the ceiling lights were out. The atmsphere is unappealing. I cant exactly put my finger on it but it has a bit of a depressing vibe. My stuffed shrimp were dried out, small, and the amount of stuffing was very small as well, and had no seasoning. They gave me some buttery-looking sauce on the side to dip-it was tasteless, and did not taste like butter. My dining companion had a special-a seafood lasagna. The serving was huge, and the bite I tasted was pretty good. It did not appear that there was much seafood in the lasagne. I’ve better stuffed shrimp at home. much better. I was not impressed with the food. There would be no reason for me to return. The shrimp were so skimpy for the price, dry, overcooked, and tasteless.

We love the new Joe Willy’s. Fresh seafood and the best crab cakes we’ve ever had. My husband dreams about the stuffed clams. The«non-seafood» items are top-notch too. I love a place that remembers you when you come through the door and knows your drink order before you sit down.

Have been meaning to go for awhile as I live in the area but always drive by it. Went there and the food was very good and the price was average. I know this place was on one of the restaurant shows but I can’t imagine that it looked worse before the show helped it. When I was there the table wobbled and there was no tablecloth on the table. The floor is hardwood and needs some carpeting or tile. If they put some money into the building this could be a decent place.

We ate on a Thursday night, and there were five other tables filled with people. The food came out in a timely manner — not too rushed, and we did not wait long either. My older son ordered the Zuppe de Pesce. The portion size was very large, and the taste was spot on(yes, I tried some of his dish). I ordered the Shrimp Tossed Salmon. WOW to the spinach — nicely cooked, slightly wilted with a great flavor. I also loved the way the salmon and mashed potatoes were cooked. My husband got the crab and shrimp salad. He was very pleased with his dish and particularly liked the dressing. I give this place two thumbs up. My only request is that they add a little more lighting.

After reading the reviews and the history of the place including their part in a TV show, I was truly hoping to be wow by the food of this restaurant. I a am sorry to report that was not the case. We went to eat on a Saturday night, and the place was a third full… that was a clear hint. The food poor. I ordered scallops and a lobster tail. Scallops were extremely small, the lobster tail was dry, like it was heated in the microwave for too long. Ask the salad dressing on the side, not the case. One of my friends ordered broccoli as a side dish and it was never served. How sad it is to see bad food glorified. I will not nor I will recommend anyone to eat at this ordinary place.

Don’t use my review as a reason to stay away… Found Joe Willy’s through the TV show Restaurant Impossible. But went there after a 3 mile run and only wanted something quick and light. Opted for the crab and shrimp salad(a Chef Irvine dish) with a baked potato — TOGO. I didn’t sit down for dinner and have the typical server experience, hence the reason for only 3 out of 5 stars; to give them a higher rating would be misleading and to give them a lower rating wouldn’t be accurate either. But I will say this… The make-over looks great !!! My waitress was friendly and attentive while I waited for my order and the salad was very tasty and if I get back to Fishkill again, I will go back for a sit-down dinner.

We are back at least once a month, and it feels like family. Food and service are consistently good, we never leave disappointed. Saturday nights are extremely busy, don’t expect to get in and out quickly. That said, your food will come to the table hot, and will exceed your expectations for freshness and flavor.

Best Seafood I have eaten in Dutchess County. Place was packed so we waited at their nice little bar. Bartender who I believe was the owners Father was super friendly. Waitress was the owner and she was an absolute delight. Very knowledgeable about seafood and recommended I get the scallops that were delicious. My wife had the snapper which was just as good. We started off with the fried calamari that I would put up against any Italian restaurant in the county. This chef knows his stuff. I don’t make it to Fishkill often but when I do I am definitely going back.

The service was excellent, for the service 5 stars. The place itself the location and the décor leave much to be desired. It’s right near«Splash down» fun park. The scalps were good and my wife loved the oysters. Other reviews are right it is very expensive.

Dutchess County restaurant… That tells you everything. Nice atmosphere and friendly people make the evening very pleasant and relaxing. Worth to try. Very good service. I believe that the only thing that needs to be fixed is their exposure.

Not bad. A bit pricey for this type of cuisine. The food that we ordered was good. The owner served as our waitress and was cordial and pleasant. Just a couple of suggestions: 1-Keep the place clean. The blue painted walls were splattered with… something. A little cleaner with a towel would fix that up. 2-Overhead lights were burned out. Suspended ceiling looked like it was about to collapse in places. Water stains on the ceiling. It doesn’t help if you think the ceiling is going to collapse. The dust build up in the air conditioning vents was disgusting. 3-Lobster bisque was served ice cold. They could have taken the cost off of the bill when we mentioned it, or offered to heat it up. 4-When asked for more bread and butter, please be responsive. 5-Fried calamari should be flash fried. The order we received was overcooked and rubber band like. Overall, not bad. The food was mostly hot(not the bisque) and good. They were given a new lease on life from the tv show and should just try to maintain the momentum by keeping the place clean and making obviously necessary repairs. Also, try to be a bit more responsive to customer requests and stand by the product. For example, offer a new, hot bowl of bisque or take the cost off the the bil. I’ve paid LESS money for a meal of this type of cuisine in Manhattan so I would probably not go here often.

Ok I am shocked at all the great reviews. Watched it on Restaurant Impossible and have driven by numerous times while visiting family. Went there last night and was not impressed. In fact, Robert Irvine would be greatly disappointed, as we all were. We ordered the fried calamari appy and I have had this many times in many restaurants. Never was it served as uniform strips of french fry shaped pieces. I’m used to rings and tentacles if made fresh so I am quite sure these are purchased frozen from some second rate food supplier. The tomato sauce served with them was clearly out of a jar or made by someone who hasn’t a clue about simple marinara. The steamed clams were quite good so kudos there, then again its hard to mess up fresh clams. The menu was very confusing. Many dishes being offered with 3 or four varieties of fish or meat and you could pick 1,2, 3 or all 4. They literally charged a $ 1.00 more depending on how many you chose, $ 18 for 1 item, $ 19 for 2 items, $ 20 for 3… you get the idea. C’mon change me 20 bucks and let me decide how many I want and you can decide portions. Are they really increasing profits and covering costs by charging a buck extra per item? They had this option for numerous items and it was confusing. The salad could easily be poured from a bag, nothing to write home about. Other main course were offered with 3 different types of sauces — your choice but none were appealing and it just seemed redundant. My scrod oreganata was a large portion and seemed fresh. The breadcrumbs had not taste and I needed to salt it to coax some flavor out or it. It was served over boring rice. One diner ordered the shrimp and chicken with Lobster cream sauce and asked for broccoli. The waiter thought that meant they didnt want the pasta so he got a plate of overly sauced oily goop. When he asked for some pasta it came out with more lobster sauce on it. As an owner or waiter, when you stop to ask how everything was, don’t be satisfied with everyone saying ok and walking away. Many won’t speak up. If you see someone hasn’t touched their meal you should ask if everything was ok — and if not, ask to replace it. Nope, they just came around with the blanket how is everything and kept walking when someone nodded yes. Service was good, bus boys always filled water and brought fresh bread. Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. As you might have gathered i was far from impressed. This place would not last a day where there is more competition.

Our first time at joe Willys won’t be our last! We had a great meal from start to finish. The décor was pleasant with comfortable seating and not too noisy, though they were fairly busy. The shrimp appetizer was large and cooked perfectly. The crab cake was breaded and lightly packed… clearly fresh. My steak and shrimp scampi were the best I have had lately… The steak was tasty, well prepared and I liked that you could order the shrimp different ways. It will surely be my new«go to» entrée and I plan on joe Willys being my newest«go to“dinner spot. We had no issue with the service… Everyone was attentive and checked back with us often. My party of four all enjoyed the meal and plan on many return visits.

OK so we returned after our wonderful experience last time and while the food was just as good as last time but the following things were truly truly disappointing, First the service was horrendous, our waitress Stephanie kept us waiting several time for drinks, water or even to ask if we needed anything almost like she could care less. It became so bad we actually timed how long it took her to bring us a drink after it was made and placed on the bar, over 4 minutes. The bus girl(sorry did not get her name) was fantastic and twice had to bring us something the waitress just forgot or never brought. I would completely understand if they were short staffed or extremely busy but that was not the case. Second we ordered the 5 blue point baked oysters and we made a joke before they came of who would get three but alas that was not a problem as only 4 were served. They were delicious but the menu says 5 and only 4 were served that is just inexcusable. We will be back as the food is delicious but it feels as the little things are being overlooked and it may be time for a fresh set of eyes to critique and change a few things. Lack of attention to detail was quite apparent.

Stopped in last Sunday, place looked great. Was impressed with the service, they were prompt and Curtious, but the restaurant was cold and food came out warm, so 5 minutes later our food was cold. I had fried oysters, good, and my friend had fried cod & shrimp. The cod was ½ inch thick and breaded, not best for cod(not much to it). If fried seafood I s what you do most your two best things should be your accompaniments, yet the cole slaw was flavorless and the tartar sauce was much too sweet(tasted not homemade) too easy to make cheaper, hard to enjoy for $ 18. each. Will try again maybe, but for raw next time.

Extensive menu, fantastically seasoned food and friendly staff. We met The owner Dena and her father, delightful people! It was excellent food and a fun evening. This week they will get a new look, so the atmosphere should be as good as the food.
