Horrible office policy and staff, but probably just doing their job. It’s the owner, the dentist herself responsible for setting the tone in her office. Well, let me tell you about my dealing with these people. My 5 year old child have a follow up visit scheduled for 9 am. I called no answer, then finally a call in which I informed the reception that my child had gotten sick that night around 1 am with a fever and would not be able to make the appointment. Instead of rescheduling the appointment and wishing that my child get better soon, she instead wanted to charge me a $ 50 cancellation fee(a no show fee) as if I could help that me little one was sick. Maybe I should have taken my child in and spread the flu onto them(it may have been well deserved). The reason for the fee was because the cancellation had to be done within 48 hours of the appointment. As you know as especially with kids, anything can happen in 48 hours. By the way the dentist does have kids herself(no excuse). When she asked me to pay the fee, I asked for my child’s records and never went back. They sent the records alright, just like the previous reviewer mentioned, it was only a copies of the film on paper. The actually x-rays themselves is what was needed, since I paid for them(I paid for new x-rays eventually). I send a letter to the office addressed to the dentist herself regarding the fee and noted the error on the invoice sent to me for payment. Well, I got a response finally but not from the dentist; instead from a collection agency for $ 65($ 50 fee and $ 15 collection fee). Well, I am not paying it since I did cancel and paid in full for all the services rendered(not fees). But yet, could I charge the dentist $ 50 if she cancelled the appointment because her kid got sick and she could not make it to work(ah).

Before I agreed to an appointment I called the office and asked if they took my insurance. Technically this is true but it was out of network. Perhaps I should have been more dilligent and took it upon myself to look however, when an office says they take my insurance I would think it would be in network or they would tell me otherwise. I get the appointment. Getting my teeth cleaned, they tell me I need a comprehensive x-ray. insurance companies don’t allow many of these to be done a year and I had been to another office prior to moving. I was told she could not take the other doctors x-rays because her machine was so high tech. A bit silly as an x-ray is an x-ray. I had to py out of pocket. What was I to do, I needed the work done. Now, instead of saying my insurance was out of network they made it a point for to tell me how horrible my insurance was. Of course it’s horrible, they were out of network. Insurance companies want you to stay within network and you get the best coverage. Long story short I ended up paying a lot more than I should have. Bottom line here is a quick summary of this place 1. They only care about money 2. They are dishonest, see point number one 3. Their x-ray machine is so high tech that when I asked for my x-rays(this is a right you have as a patient) they offered to print it out on their little hp inkjet printer. Ended up getting it in e-mail. I would highly recommend avoiding this place even if you are in network because of how they do business.

Now this is a difficult review… I give 5 *** for the dental care… but only 1 *** for office staff issues. They are pricey — more than others locally. Re: Office staff issues… please do not call my workplace with calls regarding appointments… or insurance questions… to me this is tacky and after being asked not to do so… it did not change. The dental care was exemplary… compassionate and thorough. BUT I just cannot be consumed by dental needs when I have an entire body to care for… and I think I could go bankrupt here.
