This business would benefit from English speaking people working there. It is incredibly difficult to try and schedule a massage and then convey your needs to a masseuse when they don’t speak English. The entire place is dimly lit and dirty feeling. There aren’t really separate rooms, spaces are divided by flimsy screens and curtains. My massage was fine feeling but mostly felt like the woman’s too long nails were scraping my back and she rubbed oil into my skin. I didn’t feel relaxed or pampered at all. Mostly I just wanted it to be over. Someone in a nearby partition was snoring and it was incredibly unpleasant to hear. I don’t know why they don’t have more private spaces for massages. I was given a damp towel to cover myself with which was not pleasant. After the massage was over I was berated about leaving a tip which I did not appreciate. Overall this experience was unpleasant. I’m not sure how people have such great reviews for this place because I did not enjoy it at all.

$ 45 for an hour of deep tissue? I cannot complain, I know as a fellow massage therapist at my job it’s not cheap. The girl I had was so sweet, she didn’t speak much english but checked in to make sure the pressure was ok and if I wanted more pressure or not. I was in such desperate need for a massage and I’m happy I was accommodated on such short notice. Definitely will be back since this place is local and affordable!

I have been to the Tao Foot Spa several times and have always left feeling better than when I walked in. The people that work there are nice and do a great job with the foot and deep tissue massage. Would recommend this place to any locals in need of a good massage. The prices are great too.

For the price you pay, it’s wonderful. They were professional and initiative. If your looking for a simple massage that you can make same day appointments for, I’d say this is your place.

Glad to have found this place! I called for a last minute massage and they were able to accommodate me and work out the terrible kink in my shoulder. I got a deep tissue massage and foresee many more in the future. It’s not a day spa, its similiar to tui nai bodywork places in manhattan where they give a great massage for cheap, but you don’t go for ambiance. It was clean, cozy and very friendly. Not everyone speaks english, but they try and pointing does the trick :) Once I’m finished with this review, I plan on booking another appointment.

I’m really glad I found this place. For the crazy low pieces, I can go here to get the kinks worked out of my back twice as often. The staff was polite and everything looked clean, but otherwise it was a bare bones kind of thing, with flimsy partitions and plenty of noise from the staff answering phones and clients going in and out. But if you’re like me and just there to enjoy the actual massage, it’s a great place.

I bought a Groupon for a massage thinking it would be a reputable business, only to find out that they do not speak English and are not licensed. There were flimsy paper dividers to separate the tables within one big room. I felt awkward and uncomfortable. During my massage the masseuse got on the table and he was kneeling over me for half of it. Overall it was not a very relaxing experience, had loud music, phones ringing, customers and employees walking around. Don’t think that this is a spa, more like a low budget place.

Can you believe there are people who don’t get massages? If that’s your predicament bring them here! I decided to bring my younger brother because I was ACHING for one, and he had never been. They squeezed us in literally last minute. I paid $ 40/person for a one hour massage with a Unilocal deal. Normally it’s $ 60. First, what a beautiful ambiance, soft lighting, gentle music, warm temperature, pretty screen dividers to ensure privacy. Who cares though really? We are here for a massage! They deliver in spades! Very firm and focused on your problem areas. Even included a face, neck and scalp massage that draws out the stress. The workers are polite, professional, with soft firm hands(come on you were thinking it too). I’m seasoned spa patron, my brother a novice and we both walked out happy. My only complaint: What business do you have being this spectacular and in Dutchess County? Not sure but I’ll be coming back. Not that regularly b/c I live in NYC now… but you almost make me regret that choice!

Tao has the ambiance of a rub and tug. :) Awkwardly located on a corner of a one way street in a single family house Tao staff are friendly and reasonable priced for their massages. No it’s not a spa but Tao gets 4 stars for there deep tissue massages. If you wanna get those knots out or loosen up those shoulders Tao gets you in and gets you out. Definitely will be back to get a foot rub.

Very relaxing, Chinese style Tui Na is the real thing, nothing beats it! Highly recommended. Foot massage is THE best!

First things first — don’t come here expecting a spa. It’s not a spa, rather a massage service. Meaning, there’s not a ton of privacy, there’s a lot of external noise like phones and people going in and out, the music is a bit too loud and jazzy. And, if you get the combo back and foot deal(great deal) know that you’ll have to move to another table/room in the middle of the session because the back massage room is too small to access feet :) But, for the incredible rates, you can’t beat the massage with just the right amount of pressure. This won’t be a trancendental mind/body experience — but if you’ve got this kink in your back that has been bothering you or just need some knots worked out, this is the place. Won’t take the place of my favorite masseuse(who’s easily twice the price) but is a good hold over between visits to her. I’ll definitely be back.

2 massages so far, 2 different therapists. I made my appointments by the phone(same day) both times and didn’t have to wait at all when I came in. location is a tiny building and it is clearly small when they have multiple people inside, but when its just a few people its cozy and it was nice and clean. I liked the music as well. I really liked my second therapist — Amy. I asked for a special attention to the back of my neck and she spent a lot of time and effort working with on it. First massage was still good, but not as great as second, too much«elbow» action on my back that generally hurts when you have stiff muscles(even I prefer a rough massage, it was little too much and I like more gradual work with my problem areas) But she finished the session with 10 minutes of most enjoyable foot massage I have ever experienced. Price is really great 40 dollars for an hour of body work(plus tip of course) and general quality is decent. I also tried their facial, it was nice for a price, my skin felt refreshed, but its not close comparing to real spa experience. Room for facial is kind of cluttered with supplies, girl who does facial is really nice and efficient but it looks like she was only one able to answer the phone so my session was disturbed couple of times when somebody brough a phone for her to answer the calls. it was more like medical treatment rather then relaxing spa experience. But I will be coming back for massages for sure.

Tao is very conveniently located and had a lot of people on staff so there was no wait. Everyone was also very friendly. My massage was ok but not the best I’ve ever had. It was mostly just rubbing up and down my back until it felt a little raw. There were actually points in wish I just wanted it to be over, and I have never felt that way about a massage before. The massage room was cluttered with stuff, almost like a storage room. There was a lot of commotion outside of the room and people in and out during my massage. Very odd. The prices are very reasonable but it did not match up to spa massages that I have had before.

Good experience, it was clean, cozy and the actual massage was well done. Only set back was the wait, put appointment was at 3 and called and confirmed it but we had to wait 20 minutes. I will definitely go back.

My wife and I had the back and foot massage special. It was amazing! What a great deal. It was the perfect amount of time on the back rub and feet. The ambience is very nice, it’s warm and relaxing. Our licensed therapist were skilled and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Visited for the first time on 12÷2÷14 for my birthday it was a Tuesday and Only 1 worker was there, they had a great deal on Groupon 60min Massage for $ 35, so I made an appt for myself and 2 friends, we were presently surprised by how great it was, the Massage Therapist did all 3 of us Back to back with no breaks in between, he was great and it was well worth the $ 35.

Overall it was fine and the staff was friendly but I was hoping to get a pedicure for my wife and I but it’s not a service the offer. The back massage was pretty good and would consider coming back for that service.
