Had a great time. The staff were amazing, even really early in the morning. Really good food, hot, fresh, good flavor. Go there try it and you will love it.

I love their Cubans, remind me of the good ol’ Cubans from Tampa I used to eat! I was so happy to be able to find this place, it’s always clean with friendly people, and the food is always on point! Their teas are delicious and fresh!

Good points: 1. The atmosphere is fun and modern with a retro flare, 2. The employees are very enthusiastic and helpful, 3. The Cuban, grilled cheese, and bow tie pasta were really really great, 4. The cream of mushroom soup was FANTASTIC!
Bad points: I live 2 hours away.

I just finished my meal and felt like I had to leave a comment! My Cristo sandwich was delicious. The coffee drinks are also really tasty. I buy vanilla lattes and iced mochas from several places, and these fall at the top of my list. The service was also very top notch.

Fantastic sandwiches from a cute restaurant in a strip mall. I’ve had several over the past year, but whatever you do, try the Cuban. It’s truly an award winning caliber sandwich.

I’ve been to flagstaff a few times and have yet to find a place that I’d look forward to returning to until now. Jitter’s has some crazy, fun, unique creations they are always thinking of. Not your ordinary food items you might see on a menu, but I love trying unique items. The first place I’ve ever seen that has an Oreo baked into a Chocolate Chip HOLY MOLY! Recommend giving them a try!

First time here, passing through and definitely worth stopping! The Cuban and the Santa Fe hot sandwiches are awesome and the staff is friendly! I know Ill be back

Came in looking for breakfast and was disappointed with the options. It says «breakfast and lunch» but it’s definitely more of a lunch/​sandwich place.
When you walk in it looks like it was designed for folks 60 and over… which is cool, but not what I was expecting. The staff were super friendly and the meal came quickly. We ordered a panini and a ham and egg fritatta type dish. The panini was good but a little underwhelming. The fritatta was actually cooked in a muffin pan which Ive never seen but liked the idea. It tasted great but was a little small and a little greasy. We did enjoy the house made ranch with the thinly sliced veggie side dish. Very fresh!

This is a really charming lunch joint in modest strip mall on Route 66. The interior is bright, open and it has a quirky theme of classic lunchboxes, with two displays of such, dating from the mid 1960s («Prairie Man») to the mid 1980s («Return of the Jedi»), dominated by 1970s (Fat Albert, Kung Fu, etc)
The menu is mostly sandwiches and salads, all done with a kind of extra healthy flavor. I had a turkey sandwich (Perky Turkey) with a side of sliced veggies and dip. It felt healthy and the proprietor was really nice.
1970s music in the background matched the lunchbox theme well.

One of my favorite places to eat. I love the soups… green chicken chili is my favorite… I love the rainbow chicken too. My favorite sandwich is the Eggsalad Sandwich. The CranBirdie is my other favorite. Always friendly prompt service. It is a relaxing place. And it is always clean. :)

Really enjoy this coffee shop. It’s my «go to» suggestion for a spot to meet friends for a cup of good tea, coffee, and/​or soup. Although I can’t honestly vouch for the food, friends rave about it. Owners/​staff are always friendly and welcoming. I highly encourage everyone to support this great local business. I will definitely continue!

Ate a delicious egg salad sandwich this week at the Jitters. I would score this restaurant a «5», but the maple/​gingerbread cookie I bought was harder than a rock… couldn’t really eat more than a few bites before the texture made me disinterested. The sandwich and its ingredients were delicious, though.

Great sandwiches! I’ve been searching for a sandwich place in Flagstaff. I finally found my favorite.
The staff is so friendly, and that means a lot!

2 of us had lunch we tried Cuban w/​chips and chicken salad w/​bow tie pasta salad. Both generous portions, could not finish pasta. Desserts looked good too but we were full. Staff very nice and helped us order. Reminds me of a small Panera with great menu. We live in OH and like to try smaller privately owned places. Spoke with owner as he got our refills and asked for close mailbox. He was on his way to post office and took our mail for us. Definitely worth the money-​would return!

Super cute and friendly staff. They didn’t get frustrated that it took us almost 15 minutes to order. And the food was delicious.

We have this for lunch a couple times a month. It’s always great. Love the bow tie pasta and Pomegranate Green Tea. Nice people and the place is ALWAYS clean.

During our drive to the Grand Canyon we wanted to stop in Flagstaff for lunch because we had never been there. We took the exit and had no plan and no idea where to eat. We searched «best restaurants in Flagstaff» and thought it was funny that a place called Jitter’s Lunchbox showed up. I am so glad we came across this lovely gem.
I got the Italian grilled cheese — phenomenal. I ordered the pasta salad as my side. It’s nice to have a selection other than your standard potato chips. Jitters is small but offers something different than most other «sandwich shops.» They also have great desserts!
The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, the food was fantastic, and the bathroom was clean. If you are looking for breakfast or lunch in Flagstaff, make it a point to stop here.

We stopped here on our way to Kanab, UT on Sunday and found they are closed on the weekend… was glad to stop again today on the way back to Gilbert. Well worth the stop! The Carnitas was FANTASTIC!

Wow what a great experience! I have the triple T sandwich which was simply amazing. They did a nice job of bringing all the different flavors together in one sandwich and the bread was very good and well matched. The bow tie pasta is the way to go. I met one of the owners Reggie… really nice guy and so was his staff. He recommended the German chocolate brownie so I took one to go and it was ridiculously good.
I wasn’t sure where I was going to eat so I looked at Unilocal and found this place… What a gem.
I will return!

I have been to Jitter’s Lunchbox several times and I am always happy. The quality is very good. The Bleu Moo sandwich is amazing and everyone is very friendly.
Today I ordered the Porky Pine Salad to go. I got back to work so excited to eat this salad. «Rosemary/​apple marinated pork loin, chunky blue cheese, dried cranberries, pine nuts, thinly sliced red onion, and dried apple chips served on a bed of romaine with the Lunchbox’s House dressing.» I opened it and the first thing I said was «where is the pork’ the second was ‘that’s a lot of bleu cheese». I forgot all about the pine nuts. I found some of those later, after I picked out a ton of bleu cheese (see my picture of that), I ate a lot of the bleu cheese as well. This salad was so disappointing. There is a picture of it posted, mine looked nothing like that. Very small (teeny tiny) pieces of pork which I felt I had to dig around to find. I like bleu cheese but it overshadowed the entire salad. I am really bummed.
I am still rating Jitter’s Lunchbox with 4 stars because this is the first time I have ever had a complaint. I just won’t order this salad again. A note to whomever is making the salads, ease up on the cheese and add a little more meat! My friends Chicken Caesar salad had way too much parmesan cheese too. Those cheeses aren’t cheap either.

My coworker turned me on to Jitters, LOVE this place! I’m hooked on the egg salad sandwich and the bowtie pasta. Great service with a smile, definitely worth the trip every time. Their soups are absolutely amazing too. Yumminess times 100!

This is the best brunch and lunch stop in town. It is located on Route 66 near the Santa Fe shopping center on the east side of Flagstaff. It is the same restaurant that used to exist on 4^th Street until last year, with the same owners. I reviewed that one as well, and while that review was the work of a talented amateur Unilocaler, this one will be the work of a seasoned professional Unilocaler!
The same rule applies to this place to a certain extent. While the first location was already excellent, this one is bigger and much nicer, and there are more places to sit inside and outside here compared to the last location. As for the food, it is always excellent and I have never had a bad experience here in the three years I have been coming here.
There are quite a few items to choose from here. First I must mention the baked goods. This is one of the few places in Flagstaff that has a decent selection of homemade baked goods. Their offerings include cookies, danish, cupcakes, cheesecake, and more. All of these are excellent in quality. On occasions in the past, I have observed that they sometimes run out of them, so if you are in the need of some of them, I would suggest you come here early, or maybe see if you can order some ahead of time.
As for the lunches, there is not a bad sandwich in the house. My favorites are the Blue Moo, and the Tom Terrific turkey. The Blue Moo is a roast beef panini with a bleu cheese spread, spinach, peppers, onion, and others. The Tom Terrific panini consists of turkey, tomato, marinated artichoke hearts, red onion, and Swiss cheese with a spread of jalapeño mayo grilled in a Parmesan crusted telera roll. Both are amongst the best sandwiches I have ever had. They are also formerly members of the rotating featured sandwich of the week. Every week there is a featured sandwich, with the exception of their Quiche Me Monday’s, First Friday Frybreads, and other specials throughout the year. Additionally, they have a different soup or chili every day, and a small assortment of sides to choose from. My favorite is the bowtie pasta salad.
Last but not least, they have a wide assortment of beverages to choose from. They have the usual teas, coffee, and italian soda, however their best beverage is the VCP, which is essentially Pepsi with a dollop of heavy cream. It is an excellent treat.
Finally I would be remiss if I didn’t mention their customer service. The owners, Charlene and Reggie are amongst the finest people you will ever meet. They treat their customers warmly and always take the time to greet their regular customers by their first names when they come in. The same goes for the rest of the staff, most notably Brandi, who has been there ever since they opened up the 4^th Street café 3 years ago.
If I were to give them any criticism, it would be that they really need to improve the signage inside. specifically, the size of the lettering on the boards above the customer service counter that contain the menu items. This was also my main criticism of the last location as well. The signage is very difficult for me to read, even with glasses. Also, I have witnessed many people in the past having some degree of difficulty reading them as well, including today. This can result in long lines, and hold up the speed of service, which given the popularity of this place, can happen often during peak hours.
Some may often bristle at the prices, however you get what you pay for because everything on their menu is homemade with fresh and high quality ingredients. Where else in town can you find a place that uses bleu cheese spread on their sandwiches?
Still, if your worst feature is poor signage, I would say that is not bad for a small café. I would dock it a half star because of the signage, but I really lean more towards giving it 5 stars than 4 based on the quality of the food and customer service alone. Unilocal’s star system just doesn’t cut it when it comes to my ability to provide the most accurate review unfortunately.
So in short, this is one of the most criminally underrated lunch stops in town. I understand that it is probably out of the way for many Flagstaffians, and especially the lunch crowd from Downtown. However if you are craving great food and don’t care about the extra expense, I would definitely give this place a try. You won’t regret it.

We got stuck in Flagstaff during a road trip with car trouble and came here for lunch and to wait on our car to be fixed. The owner was so kind to us and the food was AMAZING! Try the pomegranate fizz tea and the vanilla cream Pepsi! Sooooooo delicious. Love the classic feel of the restaurant. Anytime we come through Flagstaff, we’re coming here!

Great place to stop in for a sandwich or coffee. I love the perky turkey… Szechuan pasta and bow tie are both great sides! Owners are very friendly, quick service.

If you want heaven to fill your mouth with delicious goodness definitely come to jitters! I’ve now had every sandwich on the menu and I honestly can’t pick my favorite! The cranbirdie I think is the closest to my favorite!
If your in the mood for cookies too they have an amazing array of homemade baked goods that will blow you away!

Great little place for lunch or a quick bite! Had the Turkey Tom and was very good! Never new this place even was there?! Would definitely go there again!

New location next to the Dixie Smoke Shop is bigger, though I loved the idea of developing 4^th Street into a foodie destination.
Good food, fine ambience. Fry bread Fridays are supposedly great but I don’t know if they’re still doing them.

These are the BEST sandwiches in town! You will not find more creative and delicious sandwiches anywhere else! The owner Reggie has a superb talent for combining ingredients that compliment each other!
Two of my favorites are the spicy Cuban and nutclucker on gluten free bread :)
