The best thing about Flagstaff is this coffee place. I will miss it dearly when I move next month! Dirty Chai is just the best!!!

Visiting Flagstaff. Can’t get enough of the Spicy Chai Tea you. Love the new, gentler Tibetan brew, too. Met a friend on Birch Street as well. See you, when I come again.

We visited from Colorado and needed a great coffee. Your staff at the Fort Valley Rd location was very nice and my wife and I had some of the best coffee drinks ever. Thank you!

When I saw the squirt bottle of flavor come out for my iced whole milk latte I knew this was going down hill. I hit bottom when the Barista rang me up at $ 5.35($ 6+ with tip) for a 16 oz ice filled plastic cup. Yes the atmosphere is not bad but thats really where it ends. The flavored iced latte was a barely drinkable imitation of Starbucks(a barely drinkable imitation of coffee) and for $ 6 I would at least expect a glass not a plastic to go cup. Throw me a $ 6 bone. Try any of the 3 other coffee shops on the same street and you’ll: A. Get a latte, not Dupont’s latest chemical variation of corn syrup. B. An actual coffee cup, because having it here and to go are two different things. C. Avoid sticker shock, because over $ 6(with tip) is expensive even for Flagstaff.

They’re pretty inconsistent. We’ve seen many a barista come and go(thus taking their drink making skillz with them). Also, kind of on the pricey side for what we ended up with. It’s usually a ‘not sure who/what you’re gonna get’ type of thing. I’ll usually swing by the Chevron(just down the road) for coffee.

My last visit is the 3rd time of experiencing mediocre coffee drinks. The house coffee is 1 step above instant. Fraps are reminiscent of cold milk in ice without the caramel flavor I requested. There are so many better Flagstaff options for coffee. I won’t be back to LFTT.

Wait, ask me after I have had a cup of coffee… ok, better now. I really enjoy a well done cup of coffee. I am rarely found without a vessel full, in fact. However, I found myself(a few months back) cold and wet and in need of a refresh when I discovered Late For the Train Coffee. Eeeeeehxcellent! This is a friendly cool coffee shop — the vibe is perfect! It is also easily accessible on your way up to(or back from) Snowbowl. It is the perfect location! They have really great coffee. They also have giant burritos — and I love the vegetarian options. Great place to stop, warm-up, and grab a quick bite.

I work at the hospital and there is a Late for the Train in the lobby. What a treat! They are always busy, but fast and very consistently great. I don’t like flavored fancy pants drinks, and they make a great cup of pure joe. My friends prefer fancy pants, and they swear by Dark Skies. Either way you will find something that will please!

I’ve given this coffee shop as many chances as possible. They are located in the hospital where I work, so when I need coffee, it is my best option. However, after today, I would rather drink the coffee from the cafeteria. My shift started at 6:30 this morning and I arrived at Late for the Train at 6:28. Since the coffee shop opens at 6:30 she would not pour my house coffee. When I said«You open in 2 min. You really won’t help me?» Her reply was«I still have 2 min. Before I need to help you». That’s it. Never again. They have lost a regular customer that has gotten their morning coffee from them, everyday for the last 2 years.

Good tea. Friendly people. Gave us some good advice on where to go for dinner. On the way back from the snow bowl, so it’s convenient. I can dig it

Daves Rockrammer always does the job, convenient stop on the way out of town for a hike, or visit to the Grand Canyon.

I am a coffee snob! OK I admit it. Life is too short for crappy coffee. Eveery time I am in Flagstaff I make sure I stop for an awesome cup of coffee, espresso or specialty drink. Late for the Train with three locations is the ONLY coffee shop in Flagstaff I stop at. My favorite location is the Fort Valley location. If you’ve been to Snow Bowl you’ve passed this place. Stop in for a caffeine jolt on your way to he snow and for a hot chocolate on the way down. It’s worth it!!! You can find the other two locations from their website: . In their own words, the Fort Valley location is «funky». And I agree. It is a great place to meet up with friends, relax after a bike run and update your social media. Tell them Grumpy sent you.

Great place to relax and enjoy a good book or the paper. Not the best place to sit and work for a long period of time, especially if you mind the distraction of the coffee roaster in action. If all you need is a good place to sit and have a warm drink while watching the rain or snow fall, this is a great place to do it!

It’s always hit & never a miss with Late for the Train. Each location has it own kitschy ambiance, this one is the most unique. Love the coffee, the sweet or spicy chai, and best of all they have healthy plant based Non-Dairy milk options. I prefer almond or coconut milk as opposed to Starbucks’ soy due to Monsanto’s GMO& Legal practices that are hurting very delicate ecosystems, most notably on my beloved Maui. The scones & muffins at Late for the Train are great too. If your looking for more of a breakfast beyond pre-made burritos I suggest heading over to Macy’s south of the tracks on Beaver St. Still as far as the best cup of Joe in Flagstaff it’s hard to beat The Train.

This place is awesome! Every town I go to, I love to check put their local coffee shops. This one is tops in my book! They have vegan and gluten-free treats, as well as non-dairy milk options. The staff is super friendly and fast. The charm is exceptional. Whenever I am in Flagstaff I make it a point to visit Late for the Train Coffee.

This coffee shop was adorable! We wanted to stop for coffee on our way into Flagstaff after our trip to the Grand Canyon, so I pulled up the Unilocal app and Late for the Train popped up. With great reviews, I knew this locally owned joint was the way to go. It looks like it’s housed in an old gas station, and the place just oozes character. To add to the experience, the baristas were my kind of people — friendly, low-key, and welcoming. Oh, and they made a damn good cup of coffee, too. We also grabbed two scones, which I didn’t try but my stepdad enjoyed. All of the baked items looked pretty delicious. Since we were in a hurry to get to the medical center, we didn’t stay and enjoy the atmosphere, but I could totally see myself kicking back with a cup of joe and a good book if I lived in Flagstaff. Definitely worth a stop if you’re passing through and need a caffeine fix.

Amazing coffee, great selection and you can never go wrong with the Coconino Mocha! Very tasty breakfast burritos and oatmeal. Better than any Starbucks and one is in a great location for a trip up to the mountain. Highly recommended!

My very first stop on my very first visit to Flagstaff. Saw it on the way into town, knew from its look it was my kind of place, did a U-turn, and was not disappointed. Great double shot drink, wonderful staff, smart customers, loved the music and vibe. Only downside: it set me up into thinking that I’d love everything about Flagstaff. THAT was a miscalculation.

I haven’t had a bad cup of the stuff they roast here, but let’s talk dark roast. Let’s talk«Rez Dawg» because I appreciate a roaster doing something a little different and really making you take notice of their craft. If Rez Dawg is on tap when you visit, you owe it to yourself to get a cup and to try it before ‘fixing’ it up with cream or sugar. I love it. You may not because it _is_pretty unusual. But together we’re supporting the craft. dude. If it’s not on tap, get a lb in one of their kick-ass cans. The coffee will rock you and the can makes a great souvenir.

No joke… best effing cup-o-joe I’ve ever had… ever. Drank it black, tasted like a cup of frickin’ heaven. Maybe it’s cuz they roast their own beans, maybe it’s cuz Flagstaff is covered in snow and it’s ball freezing cold, whatever the case, awesome coffee. Smooth smooth smooth. In a death match a cup of coffee from Late for the Train would rip the head off of Starbucks spine and all, that’s how good it was. Donna had a cup of hot chocolate. Didn’t taste it myself but she said it was good. Coffee shop was warm and toasty which thawed out the bones and had a really cool vibe. It’s a converted gas station so the islands where the pumps used to be is where folks park their ice covered cars. Pretty cool.
