We visited Mary’s Café in Flagstaff and was welcomed to a quaint place. The restaurant was comfortable with rustic decorations and definitely in holiday spirit. Kim, the waitress, was quick to the table, friendly, and our cups were never empty. The food was delicious and the portions, huge and well worth the price. When you come, bring money, as they only accept cash. But it is well worth it.

We just moved to Flagstaff and discovered this little gem. The cash only policy didn’t bother us, as they have an ATM(which only has a $ 1.50 fee). Their pancakes are really good, cooked just right and our server, Claude is the best. She has an upbeat attitude and makes the experience in my opinion. We went back this morning and Claude was not there. We got a surly waitress who was very rude to us when we sat down. We left immediately without eating and went to the Village Inn. It’s all about the service and the reason why this is not getting 4 stars from me. We’ll be back again, but if that server that was rude to us is there, we’ll walk out and not eat there.

Decent diner/bar type grub nothing extraordinary but nothing bad either. Based on the food alone I would give Mary’s 3 stars but the service is outstanding, always fast, friendly and attentive a definite 5 stars which why I gave it an overall rating of 4 stars! Mary’s is a cash only place, which seems to bother some people but no big deal to me since I always carry cash.

Mary’s isn’t much to look at but I gave it five stars because the waitress service was outstanding and the food was not only delicious but the portions were generous and the prices were fantastic. Our party ordered the adult grilled cheese, the Philly steak and cheese and the cinnamon roll French toast. Everything was great but cinnamon roll French toast stole the show

Not sure about the other reviews but my family loved this place! Our waitress(Patty?) was pleasant and attentive and because we were travelers she gave us cool info about Flagstaff. I had a double BBQ burger with bacon, my sister had bacon-wrapped corn dogs, my brother had a chili cheese burger and my parents had sandwiches. We were all very pleased with our meals and left satisfied =) They don’t take cards but there was a sign at the door so it didn’t come as a surprise to us.

Any place of business should accept card… the fact Marys doesn’t should’ve been a warning sign… I oredered a breakfast burrito and split a cinnamon roll with my wife. Burrito was sub par and cinnamon roll must have been over 2 days old. Stale amd extremely dry i couldn’t even stomach trying to eat it. Since i was still hungry i decided i would try to finish my sons pancakes… who can mess those up??? Obviously the cook at Mary’s found a way… dry, dense and tasting of bisquick! Definately not light and fluffy like any other diner pancake would be. Stay away unless you are a local and enjoy food that i wpuldnt feed to my goat!

Don’t bother. Breakfast I had was the worst!!! Arms stuck to the table. Sticky! Forget it! Not worth the one star!
