They may be pet friendly but they’re not people friendly. I’m sure this is a cool place from what I’ve read but my first experience there was total bullshit. I came up to escape the heat from Phx this weekend 6÷4÷2016. I got here and my hotel room was not ready so I walked my dogs downtown and had a slice at NiMarco’s. When I was done I noticed that Mia’s was nearby and I had read good things. I called first to make sure they had a dog friendly patio and so I headed over. When I got there, I peeked into the front door and I could see the patio out back. I didn’t wanna just walk my dogs through the front door so I decided to try out back first. When I got to the back gate I tried it and it was locked, so I peeked through the crack. Right off the bat some dude(braided pony tail, light red hair, tall) started yelling at me telling me that I had to go around front, «THISISNOTANENTRANCE». Total jerk right off the bat. So I asked through the fence if I was allowed to bring my dogs through the front. This jerk started yelling at me again and being very condscending and he starts saying«YES, THISIS A DOGFRIENDLYPLACEANDYOUCANBRINGYOUDOGSINTHEFRONT.» WOWDUDE, not sure who pissed in this asshole’s cheerios today but he pissed me right the hell off and I proceded to tell him that I went to the front door first and thought I’d try the back first and If you don’t wan’t my business you can PISSOFF! Yeah, I said that. That guy is a fucktard. I started walking around to the front and this genius decided to confront me on the street. He said, «YOU’RERIGHT, WEDON’T WANTYOURFUCKINGBUSINESS, SOFUCKYOU and FUCKYOURDOGS!!» Then he got real close to me trying to be all tough acting like he was gonna do something. I said to him, «Look, you were a jerk right from jump.» He proceeded to tell me to «GOFUCKMYSELF» and to «TAKEMYHOMELESSASSOUTTATHERE. So, I guess I’m probably not welcome at this bar because I’m not from around here, so there’s no reason for me to come back. I’ll leave this bar to the locals. I called to complain, but the manager was not in.

My husband and I live in Phoenix, but we’ve been to Mia’s several times, as it’s always a stop when we bring our dog up to Flagstaff with us. It’s a great place, and we tend to stay for hours! The staff can sometimes be a tad snooty, but that’s hit or miss.(I suggest tipping well.) If you’re visiting Flagstaff with your dog, you must put Mia’s on your agenda.

Such a beautiful gem. Make sure to show some love to Zappa when you get there… Don’t ask, you will figure it out once you go!

The first two whiskeys I ordered only had less than a shot left in the bottle without any back up. Bummers. The beer selection is great. Dogs are welcome here, which is pretty cool. I had fun but only because of the company I keep.

First I thought it was cool that there was dogs here, until the barking started. But then I thought, what’s worse, a barking human, Or a barking dog? Very relaxed environment, good bartenders. Easy to just chill and enjoy a good drink. If you like craft beer at a great price, you should definitely check it out.

Great hangout spot. Anything goes at mias. They always have a great special for a solid whiskey and a good draft.

Large dance bar that had a good selection of beer. Their little store carried an amazing selection of bottled Belgian beers. Bartender s and door man were laid back. Place had a neighborhood feel and you could actually talk to people here. I forgot my sweater and when we returned half an hour later after being pulled over by AZ police for making that GPSTURNHERE move 700 feet from Mia’s, it was still there.

Bar with bad people, even the bar manager needs some more enlightened views cause the bar manager is a bad person too

I love Mia’s. I play here with my band often and they have great people, good pool table, decent prices, are dog friendly, awesome, and of course have some pretty good music;) keep it up Mia’s! Also love the patio :)

Those before me have said it, and I have to agree, I love a dog-friendly bar. We stopped in here on a quiet weeknight, while scoping out the town for apartments before moving up from Phoenix. This atmosphere is something you could never find in Phoenix. It’s quiet, it’s casual, the bartender was friendly and quick, and, above all else, there’s the namesake bar dog. I hope to come back again soon.

AWESOME patio, Pool tables, Dog-friendly & great bartenders. Doesn’t serve hot food, but has gas station-esqe food where they serve beer and wine to-go. TO-GO?! Yeah, that’s right… so the party never has to end. They have Jazz night, open-mic, and live bands all of the time. Look in the or call ahead and they’ll usually let you know what’s going on. It’s rad… trust me.

Ok, we like dive bars. We love dive bars we can bring our dog in! This could have ranked a five except we went on a Monday(early evening around 6) and the place was D-E-A-D. The two other dogs(besides ours) and bartender were great tho!

For the locals… dog friendly. Pool tables, live music most nights. always free to get in. Back patio for smoking… lots of good taps and a package store to go for smokes or drinks. Represents Flagstaff well. South side!

A 3.5 star south-of-the-tracks dive bar that let’s you bring your dog. Good beer selection and decent service. Check the chalk board behind the bar for the daily special on a beer and a booze drink. A back patio for summer time seating and smoking. I give it 4 stars for happy hour to ~8 pm and 3 stars for post 8pm drinking. It tends to get crowded and loud after 8 with the Flag hipster scene. There are live shows and DJ’s most nights.

This is not a tourist bar. Do no go here expecting the game to be on or for everyone to be happy to see you. This is where locals go and drink to get away from the tourists. The dogs are awesome and the beer is great.

Mia’s was my first introduction to the Flagstaff bar scene, and I must say, it was quite an agreeable pairing.(Me and Mia. Or Mia and I. Or whatever.) First off, the blond bartender lady? Super cute, and awesomely friendly. The fact that they allow dogs everywhere? Totally sweet, unless you don’t like dogs. The crowd seems to be a bizarre mix of ironically t-shirted hipsters with heavy-rimmed glasses, frat boys who have wandered off from the brewpubs, middle-aged ex-rockers looking to score a high(or perhaps bathe in the bathroom sink, as my friend witnessed on his trip to the lav), and generally swell people. We were there on a Wednesday night, whereupon we were treated to an open mike performance that can only be described as «tolerable.» It was a shame that the hot girl had such a bad voice. Then again, perhaps it only added to the experience. Mia’s, if I am ever near your bright neon beacon again, you may be sure that I shall stop in for a drink or three.

Mia’s has a great selection of beers on tap. I would have been in heaven but the bartender acted like he was gonna bust a nut if he had to pour another glass. I can’t wait to give it another try though because it seemed like a fun place to hang out… I’m dreaming about those beers.

We didn’t get here until LATE on Sunday night, on the advice of a bartender at Monte Vista Cocktail Lounge(which we loved). The place is big, has a large stage, and an outdoor patio(if you like frostbite, no heaters here). I will have to visit again before midnight to review properly. I assume the band makes the experience here, without one it’s a little dull. I should also mention that they do have a LOT of good beers on tap. Bonus: We met a drunken Indian who was entertaining for about an hour.

This place is the tits… They have a killin beer selection with select belgium nuggets like Delirium Nocturnum on tap, an array of IPA’s and some serious stouts. They have a great room and a nice stage that brings through local, regional, and national acts. It’s located right off the main drag of Flag, so parking isn’t a nightmare, but close enough you can get your walk on. Everytime I play here, there seems to be a pack of dogs running around inside having fun, which I find to be quite cool, cause I love dogs, and I love establishments that are cool with pets. Everytime I go to flag, I hit this place up, even if I’m playing somewhere else. You must go here.

Apparently this place used to be a shitty club that none of my friends liked. I’m glad I missed those times because Mia’s was awesome this past weekend. The live bands were decent. Somewhat on the punk rock side, which was perfect for our group. The bartenders were quick and efficient. Beers on tap were impressive. I had some Nimbus Monkeyshine, which I have never seen on tap outside Tucson. Patio out back past the stage/bathrooms was big. Very nice for my tobacco inclined compadres. When back in town I would definitely come back to Mia’s for drinks and general good times.
