My husband and I gave Pizzicletta a second chance and it was so much better than the first time. I think we came on an off night on our last visit, because the pizza was way different last night. I can even tell in the photos from three years ago. We had the Margherita and Amore oi Mare and both were perfectly balanced. The winner was the Amore oi Mare, the prosciutto, marscapone, fresh arugula, lemon olive oil and pecorino made for an amazing combo. We also really enjoyed the Villa Ligi Grifoglietto which was a nice light red. Service was attentive and friendly and it was fun sitting outside with a view of the kitchen where they were making the pizzas. We will definitely return on our next visit to Flag, I’m so glad we gave them another try.

Eat here! Fantastic pizza, fresh ingredients, Italian wines. Start with a simple pizza, add delicious cured meats or other toppings, and enjoy a perfect pie. The mixed greens salad was a perfect starter!

Service — Fantastic — both at the take out window and their server that covers Mother Road Brewery. They were informative, took time to explain things and did that with a smile! Food — killer! I had the burratta and pear appetizer — and it should not be missed! I was surprised to see unique apps at a «pizza place». It sounds like they make their mozzarella by hand — and they had these amazing things called balsamic vinegar ‘pearls’ as well. I assume the owner or the chef has a broader culinary background than just making pizzas… We also tried 2 pizzas — the special, which was a white pizza with roasted corn and fresh oregano. It was delish! The Marinara pizza was great and unique with no cheese. We’ll be back and try many more menu items during our vacation in Flagstaff!

Came here on a friend’s recommendation and oh my… So glad we did! From the wonderful, cozy ambience to the insanely delicious pizza that I had to stop myself from inhaling, it was a delightful experience all around. Is it the best pizza I’ve ever had? Probably! The gelato was also incredible, try the chocolate sea salt and olive oil flavors together! I wish I could give this place six stars!

I think my expectations were set a little too high with Pizzicletta… I was told it was one of the best pizza joints in AZ, but besides the crust and the oven baked crispness, it was a bit lack luster. We ordered two pizzas, the arugula and the special, and both were lacking in toppings. Luckily, the beer on tap was on point and the quaint feel of the restaurant had a homey like appeal. For a starter, they have house bread and butter, which seems a little odd considering you’re consuming a bunch of crust. This spot is just your basic pizza joint, nothing special. If you’re looking for artisan pizza, this place is trying but just wasn’t fitting of our taste.

Love this place. We got there right at 5 o’clock and there were a few of us hungry groups ready for dinner. We sat at the inside bar and were entertained by the hard working team getting food and drinks for everyone. I watched the pizza making process which was simple at the assembly but hard work in front of the fire. Pizza was delicious, flavored were well balanced and I am definitely going back. I ordered a wine for my wife and it was wonderful, great bouquet, good finish.

Great margherita pizza, I added salami and proscuitto. The vanilla gelato is also a must! This is a popular place in Flagstaff. You will most likely share a large table with others.

Me and a buddy got there and there was two people sitting there before us, they tried to cram us in to sit with the two other people. We asked to sit by the window and caught attitude for that but they let us. Felt rushed the whole time, plates were taken too soon, food was on top of other food, etc. we tried a few things seeing as to it was our first time there. We got two pizzas to sample but had no medium sized plates to eat the pizza. No iced tea. Food was on the pricey side. When the waitress brought the check she said«no rush on paying», but there was a rush just like the rest of the meal. I won’t go back, I went to fat olives the next day and everything was nice and relaxed and friendly. Someone needs to remind these people that if you don’t treat a customer right, someone else will. I am not trusting Unilocal on anything anymore, everyone thinks they are food critics these days and I think mostly they give five stars due to them not having to cook the food and clean up the mess. 90 percent of people rave about this place and it isn’t all that. I ate here once and that is it, never again. Not even take out.

This is the type of place locals want to keep a secret, a secret to protect it from getting too crowded. But now, with Unilocal you have the power. Great place, you must experience the food perfection and love the owner invests in this place. Great tunes were complementary to the overall 5 star vibe!

Best pizza in flag hands down. Wonderful little place, homemade everything! You have to have the special with the gelato, I have never had anything bad here! Great owner, great staff. Restaurant gets packed but they serve almost a full menu at mother road right next door! If you haven’t been you are truly missing out.

A real gem. Tiny, cozy, candle lit… Hand made mozzarella, perfect dough, hot oven= great little pizzas. I sat at the communal table and ordered a Barbera from an excellently curated list of Italian wines. I loved looking out through old warehouse windows, hearing the wood crackle in the pizza oven, and smelling the faintly rustic aroma of perfectly baked pizza crust. This place is really a lovely find.

A recent weekend trip to Flagstaff and all Unilocal paths lead us to Pizzicletta! We love amazing pizza. NOT college greasy type pizza, but great, authentic, artisenal Italian pizza! We left our hotel and made the few block stroll to get on the waiting list, as we knew there would be one! Good places such as this always have a waiting list! I can tell you the wait is worth it. Pizzicletta is attached to the Mother Road Taproom next door. The night we were in town was a holiday weekend and they were closed. but that is a cool place to hang while waiting for the space to open up next door! We strolled around Flagstaff for about 40 minutes and were texted when they were ready for us. Nice! Upon entering there is one long table inside this small haven and a high table against the window with a few seats. We started with the Formaggi and Focaccia and the Roasted Olives, that are roasted with lemon, chiles, and garlic. The bread was still warm and fresh, it comes with balsamic and olive oil and the cheese, oh so good! The olives: warm and spicy! YES. Spicy. I am not supposed to have them, but I had to try one. I highly recommend you partake in these! They have many beers and Italian wines to choose from to go with your apps and Caleb was amazing and patient. We got in to PIzzicletta as one of the last seatings and he never was impatient, always reminding us to take our time. He went over the menu and the pizzas and described them all to us. We ordered the Amore oi Mare. A white pizza,(no sauce on the crust), with mascarpone, pecorino cheeses, prosciutto, arugula(which against the recommendation of our waiter, I had them take off), and drizzled with lemony olive oil. I am so picky about pizza crusts and this one was amazing. I learned that the crust here is all made using no commercial yeast and ferments for about 3 to 4 days… all organic too! The pizza oven was built by a third generation oven builder from Naples, Italy. It is pretty much the center point of the small, cute pizzeria! We probably took way more time savoring our frommagio and pizza and wine than we should have and they had closed about 20 minutes before we boxed up our leftovers and headed back to our hotel. I can’t wait to come back to this cute place and try more of the amazing pies… oh and wine. and the olives. oh and the cheese!

How cute is Pizzicletta?! A tiny resto just a block or so away from Flagstaff’s downtown area. A large communal table in the center of the restaurant forces you and your party to sit with strangers, who soon become fellow table-mates that you can draw up some conversation with, if you please. Was satisfied with our orders of: the classic margherita and the more adventurous, amore oi mari(a sauceless pizza). All pizzas are cooked to perfection in their wood burning oven. Really felt the quality of the ingredients and in the preparation of the pizzas.

If you’re a fan of the acclaimed pizza joints down South(Bianco, Pomo, Al Forno), then you’ll get a pretty good idea of what to expect when visiting Pizzicletta. It’s not your typical college-town pizza«by the slice» approach, but a selection of masterfully crafted pies that are as authentic as it gets. The restaurant is quite charming. I’ve always loved pizzerias that have a «cozy» feel to them. Regardless of where you sit, you’re just a few feet away from the oven — which gives off such an enticing aroma that you can’t help but develop a craving as soon as you enter. A perfect place to eat on a bitterly cold evening. Although I can see its small size probably being difficult for large groups, however. We recently paid a visit during the summer months and the crowds have appeared to have picked up rather massively since last year. Outdoor seating was available, which was nice, aside from the fact that you’re forced to sit elbow-to-elbow with complete strangers. They also seem to have some kind of partnership with the nearby brewery, as servers were delivering pizzas to patrons in this area in what appeared to be a somewhat disorganized fashion. The menu is simplistic(as it should be), with five different pizza selections. Red pizzas use a BiancoDiNapoli tomato base. Obviously, the owner knows a thing or two about sourcing his ingredients at the right places. Our two favorites are the standard margherita and the amore oi mari, which includes prosciutto, mascarpone, and a bit of lemon olive oil(they like lemon flavor here). Crust is bubbly and full of flavor. Ingredients are top notch. You really can’t go wrong! I also highly recommend some focaccia and burrata, which is one of the few places in Arizona that actually does their burrata properly. Their homemade gelato is superb. We went on a night where they were offering up olive oil gelato, which I initially thought was strange. It ended up being a huge hit! Be sure to grab some bread to go on our way out. It’s totally worth it! Highly recommended pizzeria!

This folks is the real deal! I did not actually go into the restaurant, I ordered their amazing pizza while enjoying a beer next door at Mother Road Brewing! This pizza is delicious and then some! It was served piping hot, and it tasted so fresh! The mozzarella is made in house and let me tell you, that makes all the difference in the world, so creamy, so delicious! The sauce was light but flavorful and again so fresh! I added the in house made sausage and though a bit pricey it was oh so amazing! Just a wonderful experience! I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Flagstaff!

Read up on this place before a day trip to Flag and was so glad afterward that I decided to come here for dinner. Pizzicletta is referenced in magazine articles about the best food in town and as you can see from the other Unilocal reviews is quite a hit amongst reviewers as well. One of the best things about Pizzicletta(aside from the amazing taste and presentation of their pizzas) is how you can watch your pizza being made from scratch and cooked inside their brick oven! The ingredients are the freshest around and the overall taste is something I haven’t experienced since visiting Italy 10 years ago! Oh and I can’t forget about their fresh gelato. Again, I’ve tried many gelato parlors but none come as close to the Italian real deal as here. Finally, the staff was super friendly and made my wife and I feel as if we were welcomed into someone’s home for dinner. I have already started recommending this place to friends the next time they are in Flagstaff. Give Pizzicletta a try next time you’re in the mood for pizza. You will not be disappointed, that’s for sure!

We actually ordered pizzas across the street and decided to stop by here while waiting. LOL! We got the House Special — Bianca Style(house mozz, garlic, mascarpone) with sausage and oregano. It was glorious! Crust was thin yet still had a good chew and the char gave the pizza a nice touch. Sausage had really good flavor and it wasn’t as greasy. We also tried their gelato and it was a lovely way to end our little snack-venture. The restaurant is small. There’s table and chairs along the window and couple communal tables in the middle. I like how you can see their kitchen and how they prepare your pizza. It had an intimate feeling since you’re really in close proximity and can almost touch it. I should have taken a picture to document it but I missed that chance. I say go to this place and give it a chance. I will put this place as one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried! :)

A decent little pizza shop. We came here because it had the best reviews in town. The pizza was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We really liked the atmosphere and the location. The only complaints I had was the very limited menu(which might have to do with the type of pizza joint it is) and the seating was very cramped. I know there is limited space in their location, but I would suggest a place for coats. We ended up holding on to them and cramming them somewhere on the table. Overall a good experience though. We would come again when in town.

What a fun little place in Flagstaff. And by little, I mean really little! Location: This is on a corner near some public parking and near other shops/fun stuff in Flag. There’s free public parking and street parking nearby. Seating: There is very little seating. There is a communal table that fits maybe 12 individuals? I’m unsure of the number. It’s rather cramped. Food: Wonderful! We ordered a cheese plate and enjoyed the cheese, figs, and the alcohol we ordered with it. The food came out in a decent amount of time. We ordered an interesting pizza called ss145 that includes kale, lemon oil and cheese. It sounded odd, but we loved it! The crust was super tasty. Service: Friendly, efficient and knowledgable. The server was able to answer questions. We got there at around 4:55 pm to wait for it to open! There were three other people waiting — one for to-go, and two others to sit down.

We found the restaurant via an other review-site due to positive reviews. At first: the interieur is not italian and not comfortable compared to original restaurants in Italy, but it’s better than the lighted fast food restaurants. The staff is very friendly and fast u fortunately too fast: We got our ordered pizza while we ate our starters. As a starter we take a normal size salad with Gorgonzola, divided on two plates. Our normal sized pizza we took with 2 different halfs(turkey balls, barbecue sauce, garlic, buffalo mozzarella //Italian sausage, buffalo mozzarella, garlic). The pizza had no Italian dough, it was more a cake dough, but really delicious. We drunk a glass white and a red wine and paid together 62 $. The official opening hours were till 9pm but on 8pm the staff closed the curtains and we got not asked the bill(for us too fast, but it seemed they wanna close)
