The Manager Jackie? I’m pretty sure that’s her name, Was rude and nasty to us and a group of ppl, & made it a point to be difficult & not helpful. also screaming at her employees that looked terrified. Felt sorry for the workers. Better management needed. No one wants to spend money where the management is rude and Nasty. May never come back terrible. No problems AMC.

Place was packed for Deadpool on Valentine’s Day but there was absolutely no problem getting in! Very quick and well planned. Theatre wasn’t really clean but there were tons of people there!

Love this movie theater because it’s so much nicer than the AMC in Orange Park. It seems a little more expensive though. The parking is adequate but does fill up fast. The movies start approximately 20 – 25 minutes after the show times listed. If you go on a Sunday you might have to wait a few minutes for the church to clean up their stuff and go, but that was okay. This is definitely our go to movie theater.

There are some gross popcorn flavors and they didn’t show The Theory of Everything when it came out, but overall great movie theater (could use better snack options). It shows most major movies, is clean, and has comfortable seats and isn’t a scary place to be at night, which is cool.

Clean, organized, great popcorn and cotton candy selections! No. Chaos! And you buy your tickets –INSIDE without a plexiglass window! Worth the relaxing drive to come to the most relaxing movie in town!

Great theatre, great location. Safe. Couldn’t give 5 stars because popcorn is awful-​always too hard/​chewy even when fresh. Has to do with poppers I think!

Great movie theater. Probably the least busy of the theaters in the Jacksonville area. Decent deals from time to time as well.

One of my co workers suggested I give this movie theatre a try a couple years ago because it was quite nice and clean compared to the bigger theatre around town. I’m really glad for his recommendation because this is the only theatre I will go to now, it’s very clean compared to AMC Orange Park. If it’s busy they will bring popcorn and soda into the theatre and sell from a small cart so you don’t have to wait in line. It’s a great place to catch the newest movies but do it quick because they don’t play them for long since they don’t have many viewing screens.

I went to a 5:00 movie on a Friday night today, but I have been to this theater 3 or 4 times before as well. It’s never been crowded. The staff is always polite and the fellow movie-​goers are polite as well. Tuesdays are the best day to go because they have ‘stimulus Tuesday’ specials on tickets and, even better, special prices on concessions. Small drinks, small popcorn, and candy are only $ 2.00 each on Tuesdays!

Typical movie theater. Popcorn is good. I got the refillable bucket but didn’t realize it wasn’t free refills. Oh well.

I took my family out to see a movie and they sold more tickets than seats. When I told the manager all she could say is that I could get a refund for the movie. I explained to her that I bought $ 24.00 worth of popcorn, drinks and snacks. She said I couldn’t get a refund for the snacks just the movie. So I had to drive home with all the popcorn, snacks and drinks.

The real review :)
We were used to a small town theater that had $ 3 movie nights and BOGO popcorn and pop deals. Moving here was a bit of a shock on prices, but at least Carmike has a rewards program. And we’ve bought in to the 2015 popcorn bucket so now we get $ 4 fill ups, and that’s a LOT of popcorn!
The screens are high quality and projectors the same. Stadium seating in the theaters and comfortable. Convenient locale for those on Fleming Island. Staff are friendly. Only gripe is parking — we often have to park in the overfill lot. But it gives us a chance to work off this popcorn calories :).

For its size and age, this theater does a pretty good job of showing a variety of new films. I’ve never had a problem securing tickets to a premier or newly released showing of a popular movie.
However, Carmike has a reputation for being comparatively expensive. Movies cogs around $ 10 no matter what time of day, and 3D films can reach $ 12-​$ 15 a pop! I realize this is becoming an industry standard, but it’s still discouraging (find me curled up with Netflix). Add in a $ 7 popcorn and I’m suddenly broke.
All in all, this little theatre is convenient if there’s a movie you must see or a new release. It’s rarely overpacked. Still, make sure to budget for expensive tickets.

Most expensive theater, food and drinks. Yikes! It usually costs us $ 6.50 for a matinée and there’s 4 of us. Today here at Carmike 12 we paid almost $ 40.00 to go to the movies. Insane! And NO MILITARY DISCOUNT AVAILABLE. We also paid $ 6.00 for a large drink, not for a $ 4.25. You’d have to SAVE to go to the movies there. Looks like we’ll have to wait until a lot hit DVD on Redbox for $ 1.20

It’s a quant little place. Went there to watch Duran Duran video. Had to ask them to turn it up cause it was really low. Come on now … It’s a concert type video where everyone feels like jumping out of their seats and dancing and singing to the words. But in here if they did that it would be embarrassing cause you can hear how bad you sound :)
When I asked them to they turned it up a smidge. Oh well at least they responded :)
Oh yeah the prices here are extreme! Yes theaters are anyway but for a large soda it’s $ 6.10! So imagine what everything else costs.

Went here with my family to see Planet of the Apes 2. Both popcorn machines were down and they had to use a small one in the back. I have to say that in spite of people being rude and downright bratty, the staff were professional and handled themselves so well I will be back.

Clean theater, decent seats (though for such a new theater I’m kind of surprised they didn’t go for something a little nicer), great snack bar. If you hit it during their deals (Tuesdays in particular), the prices are great, otherwise they are right in line price wise with other theaters in the area. I have noticed there tend to be a lot of teenagers around, no matter what movie you see but hey, it’s a movie theater.

I went to the Carmike for the first time last night. I had been waiting for the holiday rush to end before even attempting to go to the movies to see «The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.» Things got busy over the past few weeks, so yesterday afternoon, I decided to check out which theatres were still playing and at what time. Every other theatre either didn’t have it (AMC Orange Park) or were playing it at 8:30 pm or later (Regal, Tinseltown and a few others). Carmike had it starting at 5:10. Perfect.
I drove to the theatre and was pleasantly surprised that my ticket only cost $ 5.50! Between 4 pm and 5:30 pm, the Carmike has what they call a «Super Bargain,» so ticket prices for everyone are only $ 5.50! Compared to their other prices like Matinees from Sunday-​Thursday ($ 7.25) or Matinees on Friday & Saturday ($ 8.00), or even the early morning shows at AMC ($ 6.00), it’s an absolute steal! However, I did not ask if they have a military/​Veterans discount.
The concessions were ridiculously expensive. For a 3+ hour movie, and not really eating much during the day, I bit the bullet, but $ 14 for the large popcorn and drink combo is insane. I did see folks walking into the theatre with huge buckets full of popcorn. It seems you can buy a bucket for $ 20 to use for the year and you just pay $ 3 each visit to fill it. So that’s a solution to getting around those high concession prices that other theatres don’t have.
The theatre was immaculately clean and all the staff that I dealt with were super friendly. I’m not sure why it took me so long to see a movie at the Carmike, but they will probably be my theatre of choice from now on.

We went to see Catching Fire here on Thanksgiving night. The theater was comfy and personally, being the popcorn freak I am, I loved the specialty flavors along with the seasonings available. Very close to my parents house. We’ll be back.

Nice clean, well managed theater with good sound and picture quality and average prices. The clientele here are SO much civilized that at the Orange park Mall with using their damned CELL phones during the movie!
