You can talk yourself out of any thing if you think about it too much. Like scuba diving. Is it natural for a human being to descend 100 feet under water? It’s not, is it? Somehow the folks at Hunterdon Scuba got me past my fear and I became a certified diver. Classes are held at the shop, and your initial diving experience is in a swimming pool, harmless enough. The pool is located at the shop owner’s home and he encloses it so classes can run year round. My certification tests were at Dutch Springs, a quarry in Bethlehem, PA. From beginning to end, the instructors were top notch. They know their stuff and have a deep passion for the sport. And they’re fun and just so darn nice. I really enjoyed my time spent with all of them! And somehow, I actually wasn’t so scared when I went for my certification. My only qualm was the water temp was 50 degrees. If I had to do it over again, I don’t think I would have taken my cert tests in October! In addition to many levels of classes, they run a really nice shop where you can purchase or rent equipment. Another outstanding small business!
