Good selection, but the prices are waaaay too high now! I’ve been shopping here since I was a kid and you could always get a deal, but now I would rather buy it online for cheaper and have it show up at my door 2 days later. I now just go there to find the size I need and buy it elsewhere.

This place used to be the place to go for your every need. Things seem to have changed over the years however. The selection is still large, but the prices have jumped considerably. In many cases they are more expensive than their competitors by a large margin. Instead of being the first stop when looking for something, they are now my last resort.

This used to be a good store, however the owner has been so cheap as of late his selection of materials are priced even higher than macy’s or bloomingdale’s, We had shopped there but as other have said the employees act indifferent and who needs snotty sales people bothering you to buy something, The owner here also used to own the famed Flemington Raceway but because of his greed he shut it down and now a Lowe’s stands on that spot, if you want poor service and over priced stuff go to Kohl’s at least there they give you Kohl’s bucks which can help discount their prices, steer clear

The Flemington Department Store has been there forever. I’ve made tons of purchases here over the years, including a few big ticket items. I’ve in between 2 and 3 stars for this place but I’m going to round down. To start, the place is massive. The flooring, furniture and bedding selections are all very impressive. Another plus is that everything is very well priced and they typically run some pretty good specials. All good, right? The reason for my 2 star review is the service. It can be difficult to get help at times. Sometimes they’re really busy and other times the employees just don’t seem to be that helpful which can be frustrating, especially when you are looking to purchase an item. I do like the place — I just think they need to make it easier to buy things.

Went to buy carpet. 2 employees. 1 guy sitting there«bored». 1 girl barely willing to help us. Very impersonal, unprofessional. Just a few short abrupt answers and overall rude. I left on disgust. Will not buy from them/her even if price is good. Local competitors much more helpful and kind.

Good selection, fair prices, would be 5 stars if the employees acted like they care. We had the same experience in the furniture department as the clothing department. Hard to find assistance and then act like they don’t have the time.

Employees were rude. I don’t tolerate that. Anything they have I can, and will, find elsewhere.

Great prices, but customer service is nonexistent. Our family had been a customer for many many years, but after two bad experiences regarding customer service, we will shop elsewhere.

Poor customer service. Waited for over 20minutes for someone to help me in the scrubs dept. The woman who works in that dept was paged over head and another employee went to find her as well. no one came. when I went to register to inquire again, Cheryl(the woman who was paged) said she was on her lunch break and busy helping at the register. when i told her what I needed help with, her body language and reply was condescending. I decided to go on my own to look for the scrubs. When I selected ones to try on, i asked another employee if she or someone else, i.e. Cherly could go get me another size. The woman at the fitting room told me she she can’t as she has to stay by the fitting room and didn’t offer to find another employee to help me. Then at check out, the woman(another employee) at the register was unfriendly and didn’t even say«thank you» despite me saying thank you. Flemington Dept Store is a disgrace for a local business. So many local businesses go above and beyond in terms of customer service. This store could care less about me as a customer or my business.

Old fashion rural department store. The furniture department has a good selection of quality items. No one bothers you because the salespeople do not work on commission. Free delivery a plus. The clothing can be pricey but quality names, especially for work gear. All and all a good place to shop.

This is a real«department store» with everything from clothing to furniture to flooring. We have been purchasing our furniture here for years. Knowledgable friendly staff — love that they are salaried — not commission — which leads to a more authentic professional attitude. They carry the best selection of brands — and even if they don’t have it on the showroom floor — they can order it.

This store I usually hit up for scrubs. But they have everything! I especially like how they will place special orders in my size for things not in the store. However, they need to work on their customer service over the phone. It’s atrocious. I’ve been greeted, placed on hold, asked what I wanted, transferred, and then a gruff angry sounding person picks up. As if I have bothered the person on the phone! Rude. This hasn’t happened to me once either… So boo. Overall though, in store the employees are much nicer. Stay away from calling them if you have to.

Really great quality menswear sold here, the kind of heavy duty quality that is difficult to find. Help is present, but doesn’t fall over you, which is exactly what I like. They are there, sometimes difficult to tell apart from the customers, though! The returns process was a little clumsy as there is no service desk, you have to go to the cashier. I definately recommend Flemington Dept. Store. They sell furniture, too, but I go here for clothes.

If you need to go shopping for a ton of random things, this is the place to go. Clothing, furniture, rugs, appliances plus 23423098 random things under one roof. We stopped to check out their line of Stressless furniture. They have the largest selection we’ve seen at the three stores we stopped at — by far! The store is very well staffed but they weren’t overwhelming buzzing around you — though at least a dozen people did offer to help us during our 45 minutes or so inside. While we left the recliner behind for another day, I did bring home a new coat — between their already great everyday prices + their winter sale, I brought home a new jacket for 75% off MSRP. Woohoo! Good service, fair prices…
