I booked the party room and pool for my daughter’s birthday party. We had to clean up the mess from someone before us and the pool room was around 50 degrees. The water was so much warmer than the air it was as steamy as a sauna. The steam caused visibility issues and when I asked someone to address the issue he said,“We can open a window”. It is 5 degrees outside with a –20 windchill. This place will never get money from me again.

We were here between Christmas and New Year’s, less than a week after an ice storm took out a lot power lines in the area. Plenty of line trucks in the lot and workers in the motel, probably just trying to warm up and rest after a day in the cold. The room was fine, service was A-OK. Yes, I’d stay here again.

When calling to make a reservation, it took five rings for someone to pick up the phone. The female employee who answered could not have been more disinterested in making the reservation. Upon check-in arrival, the two gentlemen at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, however, the toilet was broken and the exhaust fan was incredibly loud. The toilet was fixed quickly, but we had to live with the noise of the fan. The continental breakfast was lacking in quality and quantity. We were in town for a road race and the hotel was supposed to have shuttle transportation to and from the race. We placed our names on a clipboard for a specified time, however, the hotel did not go by this list and we were not able to obtain shuttle transportation due to the volume of other racers staying at the hotel. I am not sure what the point of us putting our names on a list was if the hotel did not go by it. While the hotel stated they ordered a cab to shuttle the rest of the racers, this cab did not arrive in time. We ended up having to take our car, park over a mile away and exhausted ourselves trying to make the start on time. At checkout, the hotel did not apologize for its lack of coordination or offer any discounts for the inconvenience. This hotel was recommended by the race sponsors and should have been well equipped to handle the needs of its clientele.
