Courtyard Flint Grand Blanc

Nice hotel. Bring your own pillow. Fluffy and soft at first, flat by midnight. Otherwise nice. No noise issues and the concierge was great about putting our family away from the college kids that were staying there. Much appreciated.

This Courtyard has a nice lobby but meh for the rest. There is a hotel shuttle to Flint airport that runs 24/​7, so I suppose that is a plus. It’s located in the middle of an industrial park and while it is close to the freeway, it just feels out of the way. Parking is limited as well so if you come in late, you might have a bit of a walk.
I won’t stay here again since the Hampton across the highway is newer and nicer.

Stayed here for two nights for a quick work trip. The outside is beautiful with a well manicured appearance and a beautiful fountain. The front desk staff was friendly, attentive and helpful answering my questions about the area, etc. My room was average. Stayed in room 112. I appreciated the kitchenette and separate living area, although the bed was horrible. The mattress felt as if it were years past its replacement age… Very sunken in and lumpy. The shower curtain liner also had mold spots, that bothered me. Aside from those two things the complimentary breakfast was a much appreciated surprise. The stay was overall enjoyable just wish the bed was more comfortable and my shower curtain wasnt full of bacteria.

I will start by saying that the lobby/​hotel room were very clean, and it was very conveniently located, very close to the freeway.
The bed was comfortable, and I received the amenities that I requested when making my reservation.
However, the furniture and the power area/​bathroom were nothing more than an almost identical image of a Super 8 motel. I expected more from a Marriott based hotel.
In addition, there was no breakfast included with the rate. I’ve stayied at other Marriott based hotels before, and all of them had breakfast included in the rate.
Furthermore, the iron in the room had something gluey on it that came close to damaging my shirt; the housekeeping staff made sure I got another iron, but let the iron/​iron board in the middle of the room after cleaning my room (I left it there to cool off, and I was expecting to be put away by the staff that cleaned my room).
After checking out, I looked at my credit card and I noticed three different pending transactions on my card. Right away, I called the hotel to inquire about the transactions in question, and the person that answered the phone didn’t know why my credit card had these transactions and advised me to wait for the bank to release them since they are in pending and might be just holds on the account.
I find this suggestion unacceptable. Regardless if they are charges or holds, just by looking at the account, one should have knowledge of what it is going on.
Very disappointed with this stay, and I will not stay again!

I’ve spent a lot of time in this hotel, and I find it very comfortable.
There are a lot of options in this area south of Flint on 23, but having stayed at many of the hotels in the area, this is one of my favorites.
They staff is always friendly and courteous meeting you at the door, and make you feel like you’ve spend much more than you have. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable, and I always sleep very well here.

Inexpensive but very nice. We stayed here overnight when visiting Frankenmuth about a half hour away. We got our room on Priceline for $ 60, as Priceline reviews were favorable too. We booked our room about a week in advance, otherwise it might’ve been cheaper. The staff is very friendly here, and the hotel is clean. We didn’t actually stay in our hotel long enough to enjoy some of its perks, like the workout room, pool, or in-​house restaurant. We wanted to use the pool, but it was very small! It seemed filled to capacity with a few people in it.

It was a perfect place to stop after a Lon trip! Kenny is really the best!

I travel alot and usually stay at Marriott’s. I’m new to Unilocal and here is my first hotel review. The exterior of the hotel is well maintained and located near other hotels and business complexes. The hotel is located half a mile from a few food chains and major grocery store. The interior of the building was also well maintained, no odd smells, no issues with elevator, no issues with pool or whirlpool, and nice business and lounge area at entry. I also used the workout room, which had a bench, free weights, 2 treadmills, and 1 eliptical — not too bad… the workout room also had a working TV (not well placed however). The mini-TV’s connected to the cardio machines were old and did not receive clear channeles. The staff was friendly and helpful, when I checked in Monday… I arrived after «The Bistro» had stopped serving food — I missed closing time by 15 minutes. When I inquired about ordering food, they re-​opened the grill and allowed me to order food… pretty awesome as I was starving. The room was again, well maintained and very clean. The only issue with the room was the bathtub plumbing. The water did not go down the drain quickly and as a result, as I was in the shower … the water accumulated to about my ankles, not cool and kinda nasty.
What kept me from giving this hotel 5 stars were two things… poor mini TV’s on cardio machines and poor plumbing in the bathtub.

This is where I prefer to stay when we have family gatherings at my mom’s in Grand Blanc. This hotel is clean and very presentable. The prices are reasonable and they have accessible rooms. There are several restaurants in the area you can eat at and the front desk can give you a map to places.

Eat in prices are a little high, but the service and cheerful staff are great!
Room always looked brand new after maid service (is that politically correct?) I stayed a week and was very impressed!

This place is just AWESOME compared to Ramada in Lansing.
I stayed in Ramada at Lansing last night and I thought I was staying in some horror house.
This hotel is very clean with friendly staff. The pool is also very clean.
It is also near many fast food restaurants and grocery store.
I woke up and there were no bites on my body.
I really enjoyed my stay here.

stayed on my way to check out kettering for my kid. room was clean, a little beat up, but great for the money. area is kind of deserted except for hotels, and is well lit. no continental breakfast though. room is very easy to get to from front desk, and they were quite pleasant.

I really enjoyed staying here whenever my husband would come back from deployment. its close to home, but at the same time away from everyone. we’d get a couple of nights here just to be by ourselves before spending the next hectic 2 weeks packed with family events. It was really convenient because Meijer was just down the road, along with restaurants and bars. Redwood was right next door within close walking distance so that was even more convenient. Love this place :)

I have been staying here, while on business trips, for the last few months. The hotel is very clean and the front-​desk staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I see a good mix of business people and a lot of families with kids using the pool.
The Courtyard is reputed to be one of the best hotels in Flint, MI. I personally stayed at only one other hotel in Flint, the Baymont, and Courtyard is head and shoulders above the Baymont. I would not hesitate to recommend the Courtyard by Marriot to anyone.
