Chubby Duck

It’s great that this place opened in Flint and what better location to have it than at the Flint Farmers Market in downtown.
It’s a tiny sushi food stall that serves temaki sushi handrolls or what they call sushi cones.
I’ve seen handrolls on the menu for many sushi restaurants, but the Chubby Duck specializes in temaki sushi and the cones are huge and filling.
If I remember correctly, they have 8 different sushi cones. I like the salmon cone, BBQ eel cone, and the ginger chicken cone. If I had to recommend one, I guess I’ll say the salmon only because salmon is a popular food choice. But the eel and ginger chicken are really really good!
Ordering is easy. You either get the sushi with the listed ingredients or they’ll customize it with whatever you want. They’re cool like that!
Another thing that’s awesome is that they have a different combo meal special every day. It’s not listed on the main menu. When you get there you just ask. They had this sesame coleslaw one day and yaki tori noodles another day that were so delicious.
I saw on their Facebook page that they’re expanding their menu. Hell yeah! I am seriously looking forward to that.
If you like sushi and you’re adventurous to try something different, you should definitely checkout the Chubby Duck and try their temaki sushi cones.
