What A great local restaurant. We went there for breakfast, and for 4 of us the bill was only 38.00! Great fresh cooking and a lot of food as well. I will be heading back for sure to try lunch or diner. I rarely give 5 stars, and seeing that everyone else gave 5 stars, I can see why… Must visit.

The homemade potato chips are the bomb! Service was fast and super friendly. Specials are on a board on the wall. Can’t wait to return when the weather is better as they have tables outside. The log cabin décor is cozy with electric fireplaces and stuffed local«not too creepy» wildlife on walls. A great option to experience the area’s wild charm.

We went there for an early evening meal, and really loved the place. The waitress was friendly and polite, my country fried steak and my wife’s club sandwich were both great. The restaurant looks like a large, cozy cabin. Can’t wait to make a return trip!

Stopped in for lunch as we were traveling. Easy to find-right in front of the exit. Food was great! I had ham & beans with cornbread while my wife had a cup of chili and chicken quesadillas. Great sandwich list as well. The menu includes breakfast and dinner items. And the girls were very friendly! Great food, a cool location and friendly service! We will definitely plan to stop next time we are in the area!

The perfect down home cookin after a long day on the road. They are owners/operators and obviously take pride in what they do. The rustic features of the restaurant go well with the delicious meal choices and desserts. For $ 20 my two person party got enough food that we both left stuffed, with a piece of chocolate pie to go. The French toast is perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the open steak sandwhich was big enough that my boyfriend didn’t have to eat his usual second dinner later.

On a weekend trip with my family to Rocky Gap Casino and Resort, we were desperately looking for somewhere to go for breakfast that wouldn’t break the bank. The options from the snack bar at the casino aren’t that stellar and we don’t eat enough to justify the cost of the buffet. We discovered The Girls R Cookin after doing some research online and decided to give it a try. We were so happy that we did! The breakfast options were exactly what we were looking for. My wife had scrambled eggs and toast. I had a bacon and cheese omelette and my son had the French Toast. We were all very pleased with the taste of our meals and the speed at which they were served. The omelette was loaded with bacon and came with toast that was pre-buttered.(Perfect for me, but something you should note to the waitress if you don’t want your toast to arrive with butter already on it). My wife was happy with her scrambled eggs. Not runny or over cooked, done just right. My son’s French Toast was fantastic. So good that he didn’t even add syrup to it and ate it just as it was served with just a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top. Best of all we were out the door for under $ 15.

Absolutely delicious! Definitely would eat again when we visit, great price too. The three of us ordered lots of food and drinks for the price of $ 30. We all are stuffed with the homemade comfort food. The one time I’ll gladly feel stuffed like a turkey. It’s a lovely cabin, feels like you’ve gone camping inside!

On a weekend road trip we headed out from Cumberland and decided to head to The Girls R Cookin based on the excellent Unilocal!reviews. Bewarned — if you click on the directions from Unilocal!you may be led on an adventure into the middle of nowhere. From Rte 68 it’s exit 56 and it’s like RIGHTTHERE — but we ended up driving aimlessly to wrong locations twice where the GPS tells you to «park, and prepare to walk to your destination». Anyways — we also had a great experience! Walked in to find the one open table as it seemed the local crowd was finishing up their post-church brunch. Eggs were extremely fresh and tasty, sausage patties are fantastic. Based on the previous reviews my husband and I also shared a pancake, which was as good as advertised. Breakfast was not only delicious but for both of us(including tip) it was less than $ 20. Really great experience(and they also have Wifi). Definitely worth a stop!

Stopped on a road trip. Just happened by at the right time. Reuben, tuna melt and BBQ pork sandwiches were yummy. But, you must try the homemade potato chips. Awesome!

This place is literally a cabin. There’s room for about 30 – 35 people. I went on Monday, which was meatloaf special at $ 8.95 and two sides. But I went for bbq pork sandwich. Although it’s a couple hundred miles north of north Carolina, the sandwich could have cone from there. This is vinegar based, not some stuff from a plastic bottle. They add a small amount of cheddar and put it on grilled bun. The steak sandwich is another masterpiece of meat and toppings. It’s easier ti easy with a fork. But wait these people think fries should be sliced and cooked from potatoes freshly cut. They were almost as good as sandwich. The menu isn’t biggest, but for a decent meal it well be more than enough. I was sad not ti be able to eat dessert. It right off exit of i68. You could over look it ready easily. Trust your eyes not gps!

2 breakfasts, coffee, tea, 2 soups & apple turnovers to go for $ 25. This place is quaint and cozy. Feels like you drove to your favorite aunts house. Rustic cabin and homey feel while still being extremely clean and not cluttered with too many chochkees. Our waitress was very friendly and honest when asked if this or that was good. French Toast — crispy outside, warm and custardy inside. W/bacon, ordered extra crispy and delivered exactly how I wanted. Western Omlette — slightly greasy but otherwise great. Wish the homefries were served with peppers but thats just personal taste. Will have to go back for lunch!

Wow, The Girls R Cookin’ is a cute little roadside dining establishment that has been renovated. We stopped here on a whim, mostly intrigued by the sign that says«The Girls R Cookin’» advertising good old fashioned home cooking. There are several regulars who will tell you what to get, and everyone is just downright lovely. If you are here for breakfast, they have possibly the most amazing pancake ever… simultaneously thick(½ inch) and crispy and large! The eggs and sausage and home fries are also tough to beat! We loved it so much, we came here twice for breakfast while vacationing in the area for the weekend.
