Butcher Betties

The quality of meat here is wonderful tasting. I have asked for special cuts and was granted the pleasure to have them done while I waited. Friendly staff was so helpful and nice. The only problem with this place is they are not closer to me. I prefer to pick my meat out at a local butcher shop so I know that it’s local and fresher. They gather the meat as local as they can. I’m not sure how much it is aged but the flavor is so good. Makes grilling a 1 ½ «to 2 ½ steak easy. I only use charcoal grill and the extra favor comes out easy when you start with the best cuts of meat. This place is veteran owned and that just tops the charts with me.

We live 5 minutes from Friendly Market, so visitng Butcher Betties is a part of my weekly grocery shopping most weeks. This place is great for finding just about any type and cut of meat you need, and they’ll butcher it anyway you like! Allison (the owner) has HUGE chicken wings if you’re interested in smoking them (like we did) or baking/​frying them for buffalo wings. She always has really good ribs available, lamb, several types of beef, pork, and yes her homemade burgers are TDF!
She also carries a nice selection of farm cheeses, eggs, produce, lunch meats, homemade pasta and sauces. Allison has started selling homemade cheesecakes as well. From what I understand everything she sells is sourced from Kentucky based farms, small businesses, and companies. The service is not always super fast given that they butcher the meat on request, but its always very friendly.
Now if she would just start selling organic produce, it would be a 5 star for me.

Absolutely love this place!!! Can’t get enough! Bacon burgers are out of this world! The steaks are mouth watering..
