Been there countless times so figured it was time for a review. For all the flavors I have tried I have yet to have one I didn’t like. The banana ice cream is probably my favorite as it taste like eating an actual banana. I also tried one with lavender(lavender honey I think) which was better than you would think and I even tried one that was spiced /chocolate and bought more. They offer free samples(small spoon full) of what they have and if you buy a pint(or whatever size) they will pack the ice cream solid in the container and fill it as full as possible. It is money well spent.

I have had a lot of ice cream from Graeters and Jenis to gelato in Italy. This is hands down the best I have ever had. I have tried so many of their flavors and I have not been let down yet. I just bought the Orange Mango last night and it is devine. DEVINE! I really love the Honey Lavender also. The textur is so creamy and velvety. Please don’t change a thing about your processing Colonel. You have nailed it!!! I must add that the service is always with a smile also. Such a friendly group.

Hands down, the best ice cream ever. I ordered the Bourbon Honey flavor with a waffle cone… absolutely amazing! My husband ordered the strawberry and he thought it was great too(this coming from an ice cream snob of, *ehm*, that other local area ice cream place that starts with the letter G.) The lady scooping the ice cream was super friendly and let us try whatever flavor we wanted prior to ordering. We also had the chance to speak to the owner, the Colonel, and what a nice guy. He explained how they’ve made 90+ flavors since they have opened and they locally source their ingredients where possible. Head over and check them out. You won’t be disappointed!

Don is an ice cream genius! GPS map had a hard time finding the place, but it was worth the effort.

I feel like a villain giving a rating below the average but let me explain. The ICECREAMISGREAT and they have some unique flavors. I have only had ice cream from here twice before and this is the third time. This time I bought an ice cream sandwich and it just wasn’t very good. It’s two very large mediocre cookies with some plain vanilla ice cream in between. While it wasn’t necessarily bad, it was a bit disappointing and for 4.50 I certainly regretted the purchase.

We loved visiting this place! The Colonel offered several delicious sample suggestions and was a joy to talk with about his craft. The Darn Hot Brown was amazing, the Key Lime was super creamy, and the Peach was outstanding. This is a gem, hidden in The Friendly Market, and absolutely worth the stop!

Awesome, creamy, delicious artisanal ice cream. Made fresh with fresh seasonal ingredients. The colonel makes ‘better for you’ ice cream: still indulgent, delicious but with no artificial flavoring. The result: tastes awesome and you will live slightly longer. Here are the flavors I tried: –a spicy chocolate, with cayenne, mint, etc(called spicy hot brown?) — fresh strawberries in the strawberry — Kailua and cream — Rum and raisin — Dutch chocolate — Walnut something — fresh mint chocolate All delicious, and I recommend the colonels sampler to try a couple extra flavors! Love food, interesting flavors and ‘better for me’ desserts–

Just bought a pint of Chocolate-cinammon-cayenne peppper ice cream… it was phenomenal! In fact, I didnt think it could get any better… until I paired it with The Colonel’s Banana ice cream. HOLYCRAP! So creamy and delicious! Colonel Don really puts the WOW back in ice cream!
