Great children’s toy store! Our family enjoys stopping in whenever we are walking the main streets. They have a nice selection of Melissa And Doug toys, which I consider good quality. Perfect place to find stocking stuffers too!

We look forward to shopping at The Funky Monkey every time we visit Florence. We vacation in Florence twice a year and the owner remembers us every time. It is a fun, friendly and reasonably priced toy store with both traditional and funky toy choices. It will continue to be a tradition for our family as long as we vacation nearby!

This is SUCH a fun toy store. It has a very unique selection of gifts suitable for young and old alike. There are toys from the 80s through to the latest toys. I greatly enjoyed shopping here.

Agree with the reviews, nice staff here. Great selection, lots of things to buy at all price points. Some things very overpriced, some a bargain! It’s pretty much what you would expect of a small town gift shop. We made our purchases, played with some toys, and left. We would return.

The most fun in town! still love this place — always a good time!
the people who work here are a huge part of the greatness. they are friendly and welcoming — you get greeted the minute you walk in the door. i think it adds to the small town charm of the place.
best part is the unique selection. great humor items and things you just don’t find anywhere else. i come from a much bigger town and don’t find half the stuff they have here. wishing now i’d bought those octopus fingers! they were hilarious!!!

This store rocks!
It’s fun for kids of all ages. From floor puzzles to faux mustaches. The have a great selection of interactive toys: bug casters, garden tools, origami and mad libs.
I love the kitzchty factor of the adult toys. Racing grannies and sling shot rubber cows, you can’t get much better than that.
The only thing stopping this store from being a 5 star is the staff. Usually it’s young (er) folks who aren’t well versed in customer service. Get the some fun and engaging folks behind the counter and this store would be perfect.

If you have kids under ten and you’re in Florence, you really need to stop in here. The kids love it! They pack a lot of fun into their small space. Good place to find safer/​healthier art supplies, too. We’ve also been able to find some rare toys that we haven’t been able to find anywhere but online or by special order.

VERY cool gift shop. I bought the coolest (and cutest) zombie and monster finger puppets for only .75 apiece. And get this – they carry these stuffed «animals» that are viruses and bacterium and they come with information cards. I bought ebola and he’s the cutest little guy!
I would have given them five stars if the store was bigger and some of their merchandise was priced a little lower.

On a family vacation to the beach, there are certain rituals and a visit to a toy store is one of them. We visited several toy shops up and down the coast during this trip and Funky Monkey was by far our favorite. Relatively small shop but packed with a mix of entertaining and educational toys. The staff was young, but enthusiastic. Well worth a visit if you are in Old Town Florence.
