This hh Gregg looked like it was going out of business next week, very old and few employees. Hard to find help, but when we did the staff was pretty nice and helpful. The lack of staff may have been due to the day of the week or low traffic at the time, but it made the shopping experience less than great.

Do not waste your money on a warranty. I purchased a warranty on a lg washer. It is broke. It took two days to even get a repair specialist to my house. He came today and has to order parts. I am now out of a washer for another two weeks if the parts arrive. I’m wasting my cash going to a laundromat while waiting with a baby. When the parts do arrive if at all from china the repair specialist told me to call him back to try to fix it. What a joke.

Sales Associates — Rude, uneducated and misleading Store Management — Rude, uninterested and not concerned with customer service We purchased two televisions and a blu-ray player at the recommendation of the associate. The blu-ray player malfunctioned within the first 6 hours of use. When returning to the store, speaking with management about exchanging for another brand, they seemed completely uninterested in resolving our issues or experience. She basically told us that she would not be assisting us and to come back a third time for an adjustment after the advertised sale was over. Returned the Blu-ray, considering returning the televisions depending how corporate responds to our formal complaint.

1. Unhelpful 2. Unknowledgeable 3. Spent almost an hour on 2 phone calls trying to follow up on a rebate that they promised and still no progress.

In an attempt find a better deal than Best Buy we went to HHGregg only to find the staff educated in the business school of rudeness: 1) Unfriendly — no one greeted us when we entered. 2) Unsupportive — Clearly looking around no one offered to help. 3) Inexperienced — When asked very basic question about capacity, reliability and performance the answer were less than satisfying.

When I moved in to my house almost two years ago, I went to HHGregg to buy my refrigerator and stove. They had the best selection out of everyplace around. Also they were having one of their tent sales, which I see them have pretty often in the summer, so I got a great deal on my refrigerator from there. It was brand new, but I guess when they moved it to the store, the box got damaged which made a small barely noticeable scratch on the handle. I bought appliance touch up paint from Lowe’s, which comes in like a white out size container for a few dollars and made it look brand new. Also, they have different deals all the time, and I got a credit card with 0% APR for 12 months. The bad thing about their credit card though, is that if you miss a payment it doesn’t just raise your APR on the current balance and future payments, it also adds on all of the interest that you would have been charged from the date of the original purchase so you’d be smart to sign up for auto payments! Whenever I need another large appliance, I’ll definitely go here first.

Moving into a new place, I’ve had to frequent H H Gregg in Florence a few times in the last few months. First, we went there for a new TV for the living room. After much online research, we had decided on a particular model LG that we found on H H Gregg’s website. We finally decided to go look and possibly purchase the TV when we saw it was on sale on the website one day. The audio/video rep was very nice, however, had to inform us that the model we wanted was sold out. I’m pretty sure he knew we were disappointed, so he worked with his manager to get us the next best model LG for the same price!(H H Gregg makes us happy, moment #1!) Then, last week, we knew it was time to finally buy our washing machine and dryer. Just couldn’t take anymore visits to the laundry mat. Once again, we researched and found a set of Whirlpool Duets, a fancy little pair of front-loaders. Upon arrival, they were marked as being on sale for $ 639.99/piece. Being the little researcher I am, I pulled up an ad on my mobile device showing that a competitor had the same set for $ 559.99/pair. Not only did they match the price, the gave us an additional $ 20 off, and set delivery for the following day!(Happy moment #2!) The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because the«free delivery» ended up being a rebate that you have to mail in, and it comes back in the form of a Visa gift card for the same value you pay for delivery. Not bad, but not ideal when every other retailer gives the instant discount. I’ll live with that for good service though!
