Had a great experience at Homegrown. The Albacore fish and chips were amazing, the fish tacos were also great. Friendly and quick service. Perfect.

Worst food l have every eaten. .Everything was over cooked, the fish was dry and the French fries were over cooked the onion rings wre burnt and the chicken was dry. Don’t ask for any good ketchup because they do not carry anything but smoked.

The food, service and drinks were excellent! I highly recommend the beef stroganoff. If you’re looking for something different in Florence stop here. Unique and delicious comfort food.

Homegrown is a tucked away delight! Options for omnivores, herbivores, vegans, gluten free and dairy free alike! Plenty of fun drink options such as cocktails, beer, Kombucha and local soda. My whole party enjoyed their meals. Would definitely recommend the chowder and fish tacos. Yum!

What a cool little spot in Florence! One of those well-executed places that inspires other great businesses to startup and take root. We had their version of Poutine to split, and then he had the Salmon taco special, and I had some of the clam chowder. The tacos were incredible; the chowder was comforting and the real deal. They also has these little picked veggies with everything they brought out. Yum!

Able to stop in for brunch as well for takeout(dinner) while in the area & had mixed feelings. Service was pretty lackluster on both occasions. Both experiences we weren’t really welcomed, almost felt like it was inconvenient we’d come in & while that’s clearly not really their strong suit, at least during our visits. it also won’t keep us from a delicious meal of one is to be had! Initially, was really happy with the Sasquatch hash & side order of hollandaise. Potatoes were surprisingly delicious & had a bit of crisp to the outside which is rare in my experience(to have properly fried potatoes in a breakfast dish). Wasn’t super impressed with the Bloody Mary – wasn’t terrible, just so-so On the 2nd visit, ordered the tuna fish & subbed onion rings for fries. It was a good portion of fish & the breading was light. Had to ask about the sauce for the onion rings. Coleslaw was in a small ramekin the same size as the tartar sauce & neither the slaw or the sauce were super memorable, although likely house made Onion rings were a disappointment & ended up being essentially onion strings with most of the batter breaking off, as if they were just dumped in a pile in the takeout container & the fish dumped on top. Also, was surprised the takeout containers weren’t vented for steam & when our food was brought out asked about this. Was handed a pair of scissors & told essentially ‘you can try, don’t think it’ll work’. Overall, was overpriced imo & some retraining might be considered for the staff if any of our experiences are less than the goal of the owner/s

Literally the best burger of my entire life. I don’t know what they’re doing to those Double R Ranch cows, but it’s working. My cocktail was just okay, but I barely even noticed since the burger was so darn good.

This place will please the vegan and the carnivore. Their ingredients seem to be fresh and sourced locally. I ordered a Blue Lotus Hemp Chai and the Vegan Elitist Burger. Yummy!

Great place for a beer, lunch or dinner. Truly enjoyable staff, beer, food and music. If not liking the menu go next door to homegrown deli, order food and take back to bar.

Exceptionally wonderful food-love supporting restaurants who source local ingredients including meats. My partner had the forager hamburger on a gluten free bun. He thought they made a mistake with the bun since it was so delicious. I should add, he has celiac for over 30 years. So, kudos to their bakery. I had tasty beef stroganoff. We both had passion fruit Kombucha on tap. We played cards, which are on the tables, along with other games. Great service from restaurant staff. We ate early on a Thursday night/off season so no wait. I can imagine this restaurant will be packed during the high tourist season. A great find!

A most wonderful place to eat. Food was delicious however the service was a bit on the slow side. Friendly staff and free wine tasting on the Friday we were there totally made the initial wait worth it. We will return again for sure. :-)

I love Homegrown Café. Every time I drive to the coast I try to make an excuse to come close enough to eat here. The last three attempts failed due to them not being open when I was hungry. It’s not just me, lots of friends try to plug in homegrown to their coastal trips from the Eugene area. Today after driving back from Northern California, we saved our belly for several hours longer than anticipated just to order everything on the menu. We ordered Two orders of BBQ wings with blue cheese A kimchi Caesar with blue cheese A couple of tacos And a bacon cheeseburger For two people. The bill was ~60 with tip, we could of Been good with much less, but we like to eat. Everything was amazing as usual. We weren’t asked for temp on our burgers and spaced to request rare but it was still absolutely mouth watering. My only complaints are, be open more! Oh and, always have a cider on tap Eat here! Eat here now!

Although I kind of want to give 3 stars, I’m going to give 4 because I am not a local and we really didn’t try that much food. We just wanted a light lunch after a morning on the beach. This place is very small but very charming. Has a nice bar if you’re looking for that. We really enjoyed the fries and onion rings. The clam chowder was ok. It’s gluten free so it’s not thick like your regular clam chowder. The flavors were all there though. I do feel like the prices were a little high, but it is all local sourced food I believe. And it definitely all tasted fresh and homemade. I would for sure come back here, I just didn’t have a «wowing» experience or anything the first time around.

One of the best breakfast/brunch I’ve ever had. The hippie hash was fantastic. Just the right blend of veggies, egg and cheese. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. I only wish I had a bigger appetite to try more things. My husband had the sausage gravy and biscuits and said he thoroughly enjoyed it. Coffee was great, service was good and everyone was very friendly. We will definitely be back when traveling through Florence.

Wonderful food, great service. We’ve eaten here for dinner and brunch and both were excellent. They easily accommodated my dairy free requests(and had many gluten free options too). They have a good selection of natural sodas, local beers and wines and local NW bottled sauces(yummy additions to the meals). The live music was great too. We’ll be back.

Unilocal isn’t the same in smaller communities, and I’m trying to take into account that it’s more difficult to get quality food in these less central places. That said, why not simplify and do at least a few items really, really good? We went to the Homegrown Public House(party of 5) on a Tuesday evening. Three adults and two children. Got in right away(called ahead about 15 minutes and were seated immediately after walking in. It’s an okay place with a bar feel, but the ratings speak volumes. We ordered drinks(and a fried cheese curd appetizer) immediately on sitting down — water, two sodas, and a bar drink. Bar drink showed up right away, with the curds. Soda and water came quite a bit later. Cheese curds had a very good flavor, but were served at room temperature. Very odd for a fried food. On to what we ordered: Fish tacos | not bad, but nothing beyond compare. Just sort of bland. Cioppino | like the curds, served only luke warm. Sent back for rewarm and it came back pretty much the same temperature. A *lot* of mussels and clams, but lacking an exceptional flavor. In what might be an organic touch that I don’t care for, the Asian influence to this Italian dish was just plain weird. Bunless Burger Salad | the unique winner was basically a hamburger on top of a salad. Nothing to rave about. Two orders of this one for our table of 5. Steak(Requested Medium) | was probably the biggest disappointment at the table. Felt bad for my poor daughter as she tried to bury this in the organic(and way too sweet) ketchup. She probably would have enjoyed anything more than this over-cooked, dry, embarrassment. Even the fries she had with it were almost inedible and covered in oil. Perhaps I’m spoiled by my hometown food choices, but this would definitely be off my places to try in Florence, and reading the positive reviews I’m really surprised. Were we really eating at the same restaurant? All in $ 100 for part of 5 with one alcoholic beverage, two sodas, and 5 entrees. Note to management: if you have patrons cussing at the bar in a «bar voice» it would be really polite to remind them that you’re trying to market to families. Trying to explain an obnoxious and belligerent bar-goer to a 10 year old is harder than you think.

If you visit Florence do not leave without trying this place! One of best restaurants in town and the best food you’ll find on the coast. We just dropped in for something to drink and as often happens we couldn’t resist and got something to eat as well. Great selection of beers… I had a lager. Everything sounded so good that I wish I could order more… but since we only came in for a drink I had to stick with the plan. I ordered a Hippy Pie which was great as always. It tasted even better than described on the menu. My wife had the Garlic Fries and was very pleased with it… the chef just knows her stuff. The garlic fries were richly coated in chopped garlic, sautéed onions, and parmesan cheese. The kitchen was in great form and we didn’t have to wait long even with a full café. Our server was great. friendly, fast and polite. As always we enjoyed our experience. Great place…

Was excited to eat here after seeing them featured in Vice Munchie’s guide to Oregon, AND in my hometown no less. The food was pretty good, and the service was great. While we were waiting the owner brought out some salmon and tuna hot out of the smoker for us to try on the house which was nice. I ordered the schnitz sando, which is a pork schnitzel sandwich with cole slaw. The pork was tender, they give you this Aardvark cajun sauce to put on it which kind of give it a flavor of pork katsu with tonkatsu sauce, pretty tasty. I didnt’ get to try anyone else’s food in the group lol, but it looked good. My sister said the BLT was good. Her hubby said the clam chowder was a little too soupy for his liking, or not thick enough. Happy to see places like this popping up in Florence, making progress in the food scene or rather helping to bring Florence up to par.
