This is a very popular place, and has been in Florence quite some time. We went with a party of ten; the new waitress handled us well. Appetizers ranged from great(bang bang shrimp) to good(onion rings) to ok(skins). Entrees another story. Crab cakes were way too salty. Danish baby back ribs were cooked to death, and I could not even finish them. Somebody is not paying attention, and is coasting on past reputation.

Will have to say food was ok. Over rated. But service was aweful. Good luck. Out waiter wad bad and ask for help from another waiter he said sure and disappeared alos. Manager came by at the end and ask to take plates and we as if he could take our checks for payment and he said yess. I told him worst service ever his coment was he is waiting tables out side. Is that our problem was what I was the thinking. But with a manager like that realized it would be a waste of time. I want be back or the party I was with. Also hade to give a star rating. It would be a 0

The service was excellent, the marinated ribeye was exceptionally tough. As a member of a party of four, I had the opportunity to sample three of all four dishes. All four of us had the marinated ribeye, mine, med rare, my partners medium, medium well and well done. The color of my steak was perfect, however it was as chewy as jerky. The two others were worse. The forth, albeit, well done, I choose not to taste based on the amount of sauce added and added and then the request for a go box with a comment that the dogs could cut through it. The mushroom side was excellent, but the chunky blue cheese dressing was missing a key ingredient, blue cheese! If not for the service, it would have received 1 star. Why didn’t we send anything back? We were seated near the kitchen. I heard how they handle negative feedback. Besides, we were out of time. They were busy, but they set the price, just lowered the bar.

Is Percy & Willie’s a chain? It felt like one with the glossy menu and the table display, but maybe it’s a one-off. Either way, our waitress was a true Southern belle with the most amazing accent. We had her repeat the dessert list just so we could hear her say«pie» again. And aside from that, she did a good job at keeping drinks refilled and dealing with my friend’s queries on their bourbon list. For main course, I chose the prime rib, cooked medium rare. What arrived was a massive slab of beef, maybe a little lightly cooked but still very tasty. Good flavor and seasoning, the au jus was great And despite the«pie», I somehow ordered a tasty piece of apple pie with ice cream. Oops. Good stuff at Percy and Willie’s. Would return!

Eh. Just ok. Wasn’t great but wasn’t horrible. Bar food and a decent atmosphere. There isn’t much to chose from in Florence on a Sunday night!

This restaurant has definitely gone down since the move to the new location. Salmon was not fresh, food is way over priced and undercooked doughy croissants. We won’t be back.

Waitress was great and friendly. Drinks were good Ordered the tilapia which was poor. Sad defrosted fish on a plate. They charged way too much for it.

Super helpful friendly staff helped us find the meals that would make us happy. Truly didn’t expect the martini to be so good, none of us wanted steak so late in the evening, but the family behind us said it was a specialty. If driving through again, we’d stop here.

Not a good experience last night. I have been tithes restaurant while traveling for business and had good food. When they moved to the new location they started charging extra for cheese on the salads. I was still willing to pay because the quality of the food was good about six months ago. Last night was a totally different situation though. The blackened tuna was featured and I ordered it and had to send it back because it tasted like rubber. The manager came over to the table and admitted the same. They replaced it with salmon which was not much better and when I looked at the wall behind us a huge roach was crawling over our heads !!! Not good. I wish SC had sanitation scores like NC. We brought to management attention and left paying the entire tab. Not good business I. My opinion :(

The quality of food at Percy’s and Willy’s is the worst I’ve had in many years. I had to ask for a sharper knife because it would not cut my filet mignon. I never mind paying 26.00 for a good filet. That’s reasonable. This filet had so much gristle, I could not chew it. My husband ordered his steak medium rare and was challenged cutting through his steak. I asked for a comment card. They did not have any but the manager, Jerry, did come by our table. I showed him the gristle. He responded that it was a bad cut. To his credit, he did offer to cook salmon for me. Bottom line, I would never return to this restaurant, although it was once my favorite restaurant in Florence.

Great food, good service. Half the restaurant had a pub-like cozy setting. We got seated in the other half which was very bright with white tablecloths. Service was fast. Our Prime Rib was outstanding. We will return.

I was born and raised in Florence and grew up going to Percy & Willie’s regularly. A few nights ago I went to the new location for the first time. The food was the same and satisfying. Our server was very pleasant and patient with my family. However, my martini was filled halfway instead of to the top of the glass, like martinis are supposed to be served. When I ordered my next drink, I called attention to the martini being half filled. The server said that the owners were cutting back on the amount of liquor poured. Well then the owners need to invest in new, smaller martini glasses of that is what they want. Half of our table received their salads before dinner and the other half received salads after the entrees were served. I left disappointed with the new Percy & Willie’s.

Very impressed by this restaurant. Food was excellent, service outstanding. Ordered a ribeye with baked potato, it came with house salad, the hot bacon dressing was incredible. I ordered my steak medium well, but it came medium. Our waitress Nicole was happy to take it back, it turned out to be perfect. Would definitely come back!

You would be better off going to McDonalds. Rook an hour to get our food and then my wife’s steak was burned on th e outside and raw in the middle. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If I could rate less than one star I would.

I was at this place today and a mixup occurred, however, the manager took care of the issue. I am appreciative when there is such high business ethics… so I will return because the steak salad I had was fabulous.

This place has probably the best food in Florence great steaks great drinks great service… it’s a simple yet very nice place it’s always clean and it feels welcoming… I always get the NY strip and a baked potato their house salad is great topped with bacon and egg… it comes with this croissant with like a honey glaze and their house dressing has bacon in it and it’s delicious. Prices are kinda higher but It’s worth it go here with friends go here with family go here by yourself… it’s great

Went here last Saturday and our whole party had arrived and the hostess dressed somewhat properly informed me our table was being prepared. So far so good. We sit another 20 minutes and another big party, we had 9 and they had 10 I think, gets seated before us despite all of our party being there first. Long story short we waited an hour for them to say oh well we can’t give you your table anymore but we will split you all between two booths. Whatever at this point we are starving. So we get seated and order our food after the other hosted wearing skinny jeans that I could see to the mystery knuckle and a flannel shirt. Obviously no dress code. Either way we finally order and then my fiancés sandwich came back tasting like there was no marinade and it was cooked on burning logs. I know about wood fired but it shouldn’t taste like charred wood. Her mothers steak was the same way. Now I’ve been here many times but if this was my first experience at this restaurant I would not return. And if you didn’t figure it out get the hostess to have a set kind of dress attire. One shouldn’t look like she’s going Glamping while the other looks like she’s going I class at an uppity high school. Would have been 3 stars but reliving this experience made it go to two.

Funny out they shut down the previous Unilocal reviews page b/c they moved buildings. Still won’t save them from bad reviews. Friend and I went in to eat lunch. My pasta dish had way too much oil and it ruined the flavor. The hostesses must not have a dress code and it shows. Not impressed per usual. Way over priced! You aren’t 5 star dining, therefore your prices shouldn’t reflect that. Back in the day this was an awesome place. Who remembers how huge the burgers used to be? The owner got greedy and cut quality!

Visiting area. Went P&W due to close proximity to hotel. Salad was great. Ribeye — very dry. Slow to get check, and then it was wrong. Even slower for the check to be fixed. Finally out the door about an hour after requesting the check.

They have a variety of American food but with that being said the food is okay. The service was great we got our drinks and food rather quickly. We sat on the patio because the inside was a bit too noisy for us. The«big brownie» they have was pretty awesome!

I absolutely love the marinated rib eye! It is tender and packed with flavor. The appetizer Mr. Potato Head Skins are delicious… far better than their baked potato. I have had both although I do get them without any bacon/or pork product. The grilled salmon is lovely and flakey but still juicy. Pricing ranges from moderate to high. Food is good. Serving size is good. Service can be slow at times but they are very accommodating and polite. Atmosphere is nice. My steak has been over cooked a few times and they have quickly redone the order without issue.

Tried to spend money here. Been cooped up in a meeting room all day long indoors and asked to sit outside. Hostessed hemmed and hawed and said only drinks and appetizers outside after four. Now I’m not the most intelligent person in the world but since only two tables were being used outside and there was plenty a room, seems logical that they could probably serve me a sandwich. Actually smelled very nice, but they kind of pissed me off so I left…

Came to PW with my family. 30 minutes to get app then another 20 min for salad. That’s 50 min for salads. 1 hour 30 min and still waiting on dinner. Service all around us getting the wrong meals. Bad decision to come here tonight. Not sure if it’s simply overly busy however it needs improving.

First time guest. Hostess friendly and responsive. Waitress excellent. Knew menu, responsive and friendly. Food«so-so». My husband and I both ordered the tossed salad– includes tomatoes, bacon, egg, and we had blue cheese dressing. Salad very good and big. Entrees were plentiful but just not exciting. Good place for families, small groups — they have a nice large group area. With the«spirits» you might expect more upscale food but we didn’t find that. I had salmon and my husband had flounder and pasta. The pasta was seasoned in such a way that it was not at all what he expected for Pasta Marinara. That might have been noted on the menu, but if so, he missed it. Open kitchen is popular these days but it is noisy. We arrived late(9PM) so things were slowing down but the kitchen and staff were still loud, nevertheless, service was still very good and the food very hot. Lovely, well appointed restaurant and noticed that it has a nice looking outside dining area. Clearly a family restaurant because even at that time of night there were lots of little ones dining. Found it to be a bit pricey — my entrée was a small piece of salmon with one side — approx. $ 16(didn’t include salad).

Great bartender, ok food, but I was most disturbed about how they barked at their staff. All I heard the whole time was cooks and managers yelling. Ladies and gentlemen, go visit a real steakhouse and you will never hear that type of yelling. Take care of your people and maybe you won’t have to yell so much.

I traveled to Florence for work this week. For dinner, I wanted something close to my hotel since there was a bit of snow and a little ice on the road. I hadn’t been to P&W in a few years and not since they moved to the new location, so I decided to give it a shot. I sat at the bar, where a few TVs played NCAA basketball and I was promptly taken care of. Skyler and Kayla were the bar servers that night and they were great– very personable and nice and made sure all my needs were met. P&W’s has added a few new options to the menu since moving to their new location, but it’s hard to find their menu online as they don’t seem to have a website or an active Facebook page. I know P&W appeals to the locals, but I think an active presence online or on social media could really help bring tourists or business travelers in(or even locals who are new in town or haven’t been to P&Ws in awhile). I decided on one of the new entrees, the crab cakes, and I also had a honey butter croissant. The croissants have not changed in years, thankfully, as that’s one of the best items on the menu. Not healthy, but they melt in your mouth and are worth the extra treadmill time. All salads come with a croissant, or you can purchase them as an app for the table or add one to your meal. You really can’t eat at P&W’s and not have a croissant, so just try one! My crab cakes came out quickly, on a huge bed of wild rice and a side of broccoli. The crab cakes were good without a lot of filler, but they were a little salty. I drank several glasses of water(fortunately the bartenders kept my water full). The breading to crab cake ratio was good, and the broccoli was seasoned well(it wasn’t too salty). The rice wasn’t bad, but the portion was huge(I honestly would’ve rather had a bit more broccoli!). The crab cakes are $ 16.99 and not a bad deal since you get two sides with it. You could easily have leftovers. I didn’t have any issues with the food or service, but several others at the bar did. Another guy’s appetizer, salad, and steak all came out within just a few minutes(he remarked that he felt pressured to eat quickly). All in all, I don’t think P&W’s is the best restaurant in town, and I think they could improve with bringing the food out as scheduled and having their menus prominent online, but I’d still recommend it as a solid dining option in Florence. It’s one of the best restaurants that’s close to the interstate and hotels.

House salad with bacon honey mustard dressing and marinated ribeye were delicious! I order the steak medium and it was cooked perfectly. Went at lunchtime on a Saturday. The service was prompt and excellent. The manager checked on us halfway through our meal. The food was delicious. It was a very good experience. We had the prime rib sandwich with loaded baked potato and the half a club sandwich and potato soup combo. Finished off with the apple pie topped with vanilla ice cream for dessert. I would definitely go back.

Was in Florence yesterday and wanted a place to have lunch the Outback Steak house didn’t open to 4pm spotted Percy&Willies and went to Unilocal app. but there were no previous reviews so we decided to take a chance. I am so glad we did the décor was great and it had an open style kitchen. Our waitress Heidi was knowledgeable and pleasant, she described how everything was made fresh daily. My wife had the special half a sandwich and soup(loaded potato) she was very pleased. I had a po boy flounder fish sandwich, absolutely best i have ever had i also had a side of pasta with marinara sauce wich i took home and just now finished for dinner. The manager stopped at our table and asked if Heidi was giving us good service. Glad we stopped thumbs up.
