Steak ‘n Shake

6 of us Walked in sat down waited 15 min and were totally ignored. We got up to leave and the staff started laughing. I will never set foot in there again. Great way to run a restaurant.

I wouldn’t but any stars but that wasn’t an option. Horrible service from walking in to paying. To top it off the bathrooms were DISGUSTING! We stopped here on our way home. Do NOT stop here just keep driving. Sick.

This location was closed at 4am even though there were workers inside the restaurant. They had locked the doors and closed the drive thru. After they saw us they put up a closed sign on the door. This is location is definitely not open 24 hours.

The service is slow and need more help. They only had 2 waitress working a pretty full restaurant. It seems to be a very busy place.

Went through the drive thru at 3am and waited over 40 mins for our food!!! At 3 am! I have spent more quality time picking my nose than at this drive thru. If there was a way to give no stars at all I would.

This location is TERRIBLE! I promise you’ll want to choose to go to the Florence location instead. The server Amber seated us ever so nicely by throwing our menus on the table and walking away. After sitting for almost 10 minutes we finally ordered our drinks and food to waiting 15 minutes for the drinks to come. Once our food was brought out she handed me an absolutely scalding hot plate without warning– so nice of her! She never did once bring us our side order of sauce we ordered. Needless to say she didn’t receive a tip and is getting a 1 star Unilocal review! Get it together Mt. Zion!

Terrible. My father and I came in and each ordered a double steakburger, fries, a side, and a shake. My dad’s salad plate wasn’t clean at all. When they gave us our burgers, both had been made wrong. We got up and left. They had already messed up three times and we hadn’t even eaten our burgers! We got up and left. That is inexcusable.
Steak and Shake has the worst training of any restaurant. Their food is good, but every single time they mess something up. I don’t even order complicated stuff!

I’m going to make it short & to the point this place SUCKS.
From the waitress to paying the check.
Corporate office needs to clean house.

Poor management=poor service. Stopped on my way home for a chicken sandwich and when I got home there was nothing but 2 buns, tomato and lettuce, No chicken. I should have been skeptical when the drive thru employee asked me to recite my order at the window. Manager Paula could not reimburse my cc account, but said that she would give me a free chicken sandwich the next time I came in as long as I mentioned my first name. I have a feeling that promise probably wouldn’t go to far either I’ll stick to another restaurant next time I’m around.

Waited at the door for fifteen minutes to get day and. was completely ignored. Rude staff.

I have eaten here on many occasions and following each I say I’m never going back. But I love Steak and Shake and apparently punishment. I have yet to get a sandwich as I requested it and the ones that are close are so messy you can’t enjoy it. My shooters today were dripping in so much sauce I had to throw them out. When I called the restaurant to complain I was put on hold and no one ever came back to the phone.

Walked in since the drive thru was blocked by a truck. Waited and waited but no one came to get the order I would’ve placed at the drive through. Do they not want my money?

Pleasantly surprised with our fast service at this location. Food was typical… but usually have allow service at other locations. Thanks, Tammy, for getting our family back on the road quickly (and full).

If there was a star lower than 1 I would’ve picked it. Terrible service. Empty restaurant and still took a while to seat us. I saw three staff members come inside from a smoke break and not wash their hands and go straight to cooking. Ewww! The only thing they got going is that they are open late and it’s pretty cheap. Go somewhere else.

The food was good, but service was horrible !!! The store was empty but my cousin and I waited 30 min get our food! The waitress never came back to get our refills. Honestly, worst service I have ever seen in fast food restaurant. If in area for food, just skip it.

It was an awesome place to eat. The service was good. But the food just is decent. It would be better with thicker hamburger and bigger fries. I mean u know it steak and shake what do u expect. But overall a 3 not the best food but it was good since I was really hungry. This place I give 3 thanks for reading.

They could care less. We walked in, and waited, waited and waited in line with 4 families. The hostess seated one family and then proceeded to take their orders. We left. The lack of attention to customers compared to this empty restaurant was astounding. Do NOT waste your time.

I really love Steak n Shake. The food is pretty affordable here (although the salads are over-​priced) but if you happen to snag one of the coupon inserts usually found in the paper then it’s even more affordable. In my opinion, the chili is the best thing on the menu.
The only problem with this Steak n Shake is that it isn’t always the cleanest. They seem to be constantly low on staff so maybe that is why they have a hard time keeping up with keeping it clean. The last time we were there, there was food and utensils under the table which is kind of gross. But, the bathrooms are always in good shape which is a plus!
BTW — I think their shakes are outrageously gigantic and way more than what a person should eat at a meal. On the bright side, an adult can order a kid’s size shake which is a lot more reasonably sized and just as delicious.

The food is pretty good but way overpriced, therefore I only go when I have coupons.
I’ve probably been there a handful of times, and out of that handful there have been 2 or 3 times where the service was pretty bad.
The idea is nice. A steak burger and combo with a shake! It would just be way better if it were a few dollars cheaper, and if they had better service.
All in all, I would still go again at some point with coupon… I’m just not in any rush.
