What an awesome company! Calvin is top notch and I cannot sing his praises enough! As an attempt, though, I want to provide a back story to show just how great he and his company are! We recently moved into the area and was very surprised when we discovered that our two Carrier HVAC units had a 10 year extended warranty that was purchased by the previous owner of the home and transferred to us when we purchased. During the summer of 2014, we had numerous problems with both units that resulted in us continuing the relationship the previous owner had with a local, large, big box HVAC company that tries to specialize in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and security systems. Additionally, they feel they can adequately service a 50+ mile radius of the metroplex. The name of the company is A#1. We encountered numerous service calls in 2014 that finally resulted in the coils being replaced in both units. During this time, A#1 honored the warranty and we there were no out-of-pocket expsenses. Even though I was frustrated at the incompetence in diagnosing the problems and the delays with part orders, etc., I figured they could come out as many times as they wanted since it was on their dime. The straw that broke the camel’s back, though, was a cocky coil repairman from A#1 who thought he was God’s gift to the world(he bragged that he was the ONLY person there who did coils at the company… really? one of the largest HVAC companies in DFW and you’re the only person who can do a coil, eh?). His utter incompetence eventually caused our kitchen ceiling to fall in from his coil replacement and failure to reconnect and properly plumb in the drainage line. After that mess, I demanded to speak to their service manager who ultimately had our ceiling repaired and threw in some maintenance visits as a gesture of goodwill. Trying to get through the phone trees, multiple people answering the phone, and navigating through the mess was extremely frustrating and made it appear that they didn’t want management to speak to customers who had bad experiences. Same problems started occurring in 2015 — during the maintenance visits, I felt like we were getting taken advantage of since the units always needed refrigerant. If the unit was leaking, it was because they could not fix it properly! The final, last straw was when I called for service early in the 2015 cooling season because the unit was not cooling, despite having paid for a spring maintenance a few months earlier, and they tried to charge me a service call fee when they had never done so before(the warranty was 100% parts and 100% labor — they were trying to milk a service fee out of me for more money). A#1 is too big and tries to be everything to everyone is every place of the metroplex. I was done. I did a lot of research and made many phone calls and stumbled across Calvin, who is an authorized Carrier repair facility. I called and his delightful wife took her time to answer all my questions, many of which were very specific and unique. Ultimately, I scheduled someone to come out and perform our winter maintenance last fall. Calvin himself showed up! He took the time to fully explain his services, talked to me about the units, and was EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He found a couple of residual issues that A#1 had sloppily left and fixed those for us. Talk about great customer service! It is so refreshing and nice to do business with a company who respects their customer and takes the time to answer their questions and provide excellent customer service. I am thoroughly impressed with how they do business and that they realize they can provide much better service by specializing only in one area of expertise and one geographic area. Calvin is truly a God send and I am absolutely excited to transfer the remainder of our extended warranty over to his business and have his team take care of all future HVAC needs. You will not be disappointed if you call Calvin!

We’ve used Calvin for almost 10 years and he and his crew have always been great. He’s prompt, clean and professional, and just a nice guy to talk to. He doesn’t try to up-sell you a bunch of products and services you don’t want — he’s good and to the point. I highly recommend him!

Calvin replaced my downstairs a/c unit. He was prompt, able to fit me in on short notice, and had the new unit installed in short order. I would recommend him, and use his services again.

How refreshing!!! A man who not only wants your business, but wants to keep it! Calvin is so accommodating in scheduling an appointment. He came exactly when he said he would and even though we have a VERY old unit, he did his best to fix it rather than replacing random parts until the problem was resolved. We will ALWAYS call Calvin’s Climate for any/all of our heating/AC needs. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!
