My my I must say it was my wife and I first time going to this place on a nice little Sunday been hearing a lot of good things about this place so we had to check it out. The wait for the food was not long at all and the outcome was great, food was delicious I look forward to going there again in celebration of my wife’s Great endeavors with her new management role with her big company!

Not too impressive for lunch. The chicken Fraser was just ok. The lettuce was brown, chicken was not fresh, and over dressed. My husband had a burger. He said it was overcooked, but ok. Not at the level of Moo ya, but still edible. Who uses shredded lettuce on a burger?

Just had breakfast and all I can say is WOW! Seems like half the places in FM now specialize in Breakfast and lunch, but Jake’s just served me the best French toast I’ve had in years. Service was very good and it wasn’t even that expensive. Four of us ate and and the bill was about $ 45. And everyone was genuinely happy with the food.

Got the burger of the month and it was really good, the staff was a little slow but really friendly, I would go back for lunch and maybe a few drinks.

Wish there was a 0 star option. I do not have much to say either than the food/atmosphere/service was not good at all, and I would not go back.

We are sad to say this was our very first visit to Jake’s. My only regret was the fact it took so long for us to get around to it. Having small children we are always concerned about how family friendly any place we go to is. Jake’s has a great kiddo menu full of food even my pickiest daughter put her stamp of approval on. As any proper sport bar they offer plenty of yummy appetizers such as homemade cheese sticks, fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, fresh onion rings, fried green beans and the pure yumminess of cheddar fries with bacon, cheddar and several other toppings they have available along with a ton of various beers on tap and several large TV’s located throughout the place. The customer service we got was amazing. The young man(sorry I didn’t get his name) had a great sense of humor and was a great waiter as well. He made sure our order was correct, our food hot and our glasses kept full. He remembered what type of soda each of us had and even joked with me about my love for the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball team after he noticed the logo on my hat. Based on our food and great customer service we are looking forward to returning to Jake’s very soon.

Have been here a half dozen times since they opened and more for location to friends and get more disappointed each time. Why do we waste our time continuing to try. While waiting for service, 5 servers standing around laughing and we were an afterthought. Funny on a Saturday night at prime time, this is the only place with no wait in town. Too bad. Great location and good burgers. The rest is hard to overlook.

Food and service just gets worse. Too bad, we really wanted it to improve. The food is not edible — greasy greasy greasy and uncooked hamburger. I also tried the chicken and it was like rubber. Sad.

Visiting family in Flowermound and stopped in really hungry. Service was a little slow, but the staff was nice. Fried pickles had a nice little kick and onion rings were good. Veggie burger was really good, but a little dry. I had to ask for mayo and mustard to finish it off. My hubby had the single with added American and bacon. He found it bland. My sugarholic preteen daughter ordered a vanilla shake and thought it was too sweet. Everything was al la carte and a little overpriced for the plastic ware srevice, but the restaurant was not bad. We would eat here again over the local chain restaurants.

There is something about the burger I can’t get on board with– something in the seasoning perhaps? I’ve had a burger at the Flower Mound location and the Grapevine location and didn’t care for either. I enjoyed the battered fries, fried pickles, and cheese fries very much though. Great beer list and the patio here is great on a nice day. The skimpy outfits the waitresses wear fit in with some of the locations, but seem out of place in flower mound in the Kroger parking lot… Overall good place for happy hour and snacks, especially on the patio.

OK, OK… I have read all of the bad reviews and it has kept me away from this place. But my curiosity was overwhelming, but the wife and I decided to stop in for happy hour on my way to the airport. And I am very glad I did. I really liked it. The décor is cool. It has a sports bar vibe with a great patio outside, complete with outdoor HDTVs. It was a nice day, so we sat outside. They had cheap appetizers and drink specials for happy hour, which we took advantage of. They were actually running a special where you got a Rah beer and kept the glass. So, now I have 3 new glasses! I decided to try a turkey burger. It was REALLY good. Tender and juicy on a soft poppy seed bun with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Sides were extra and I got Tater Tots. They were perfectly crispy as tater tots should be. The wife got a chicken club and she really liked hers too. She also was feeling the mozzarella wedges, which I also partook in. They were deep fried and cheesy, just as you would expect. And our waitress was awesome. She came around often to check on us and get us new drinks and whatever else we needed. I have read the reviews about the bad service– Don’t believe it. Go and enjoy great food and drink specials, a great patio and great service.

I love their burgers and the variety they offer. However, on almost every visit the service is slow and subpar. The best advice I can offer is don’t visit when you are in a hurry — you aren’t getting out of here quickly.

Amazing cold beer, nice patio w/TV’s, food quality is below average, Service is inconsistent(depends on who is your server). I think this place would benefit from an intervention by Lemonis or the Bar Rescue… it needs help with service, need better food alternatives or cooks, and identity. Go to the grapevine location and compare… I would go to have a drink and maybe watch a game. Nothing else. There are better options for food within walking distance.

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch after she picked me up from the airport. This was our first visit, as we usually wait a few months to try a new place, hoping they get the kinks worked out before we go. Service was average, food was mediocre in general. We found the burgers, which we had been told were award winning, were too salty to eat(she had the regular cheeseburger, I had the one with jalapeños, which I proceeded to pick off because the breading on the jalapeños was so greasy!) We shared fries and an order of dill pickles and two drinks(sweet tea and dr pepper), and paid 34.00 before tipping. We won’t go back, which is a shame because we really wanted to like this place as it is just a couple miles from home.

I normally don’t give bad reviews, but these recent reviews are absolutely right. I haven’t had service this poor from anywhere in years. I haven’t eaten at a Jakes yet but had heard good things about the one over near Addison and we wanted to meet friends from Flower Mound somewhere so we picked Jakes. After sitting at the sour smelling bar for 15 minutes with 2 or 3 bartenders behind it and not one person greeting me, offering me a menu, or asking if I would like a drink, I called our friends and asked for a different suggestion. I should have taken heed when I saw that picture of those awful looking«cheese fries» but I tried to give them a shot. They Failed!

The food is still just ok… but we had the most AMAZING server. If you go… ask for Rachel. She’s fantastic and is very attentive. She is definitely their strongest asset! Burgers are decent, onion rings are yummy. Sweet potato fries are yummy and sweet with the marshmallow sauce. They have definitely culled the herd of young girls that don’t know how to serve and seem to have a much better staff. If the service is your only complaint — try them again!!!

0 stars! Came in. Got GLARED at by the greeters who looked to be 16 years old and in skimpy clothes. Got taken to our table. Waitress greeted us and got our drink order. Left. Came back and we were ready to order and told her we were and she turned and walked down to another table who was calling her name. RUDE! Finally 15 minutes later we were able to flag her down to order our meal. Most of the employees look 16 years old with HEAVY makeup, short shorts, and tiny tank tops! Innapropriate! At least the girls at hooters look like they are legal adults. I ordered water and there was so much ice in the cup that when I tried to drink through my straw I couldn’t because the ice would block the straw. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The fries are an additional cost. Does not come with fries. The burger was mediocre. Better than fast food but not as great as I was hoping. Probably a 2 out of 5 star burger. The fries were absolutely amazing but I would not come here just to order fries. Food was pretty pricey for the order we had. Additional comments: server seemed very shy and she was very quiet. She didn’t have much personality. Acted like a deer in headlights. The food came out very quickly. And another positive is the inside is nice. Overall don’t think I will be back though.

Not much to report. Ordered a burger to go and it was average. Fries were less than expected and cost was up. Now, if you want to go and hang out and drink a couple of beers and get a burger and watch sports then this is a good place to go. I think it was noisy and I don’t see myself returning. It just didn’t entice me to come back. I certainly won’t say not to try it but for me it was a big meh.

Ok this is my third time here. Sadly, these people have no idea what the hell they are doing. There is a gaggle of 18 year old girls standing around giggling in the back while I sit here with no service whatsoever. Empty beer. Empty water. The place is not even busy. I still have not ordered. This is seriously appalling! Come one people this is not that difficult it is a burger joint for gawdsakes! EDIT: Putting this into my normal format. Venue The concept is nicely executed. Low key sports bar with a great deck, lots of TV’s, classic rock a plenty. Food Stuffed Jalapenos: easily can tell this is a frozen product, comes with ranch dipping sauce. Meh! I suggest you pass on these. Turkey Burger: turkey burger, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and swiss cheese. This was a decent burger. The turkey was about half the size of the one you get at Mooyah. It had good flavor. Jalapeño Bottle Cap Burger: #3 cheeseburger with jalapeño bottle caps. This was better than the turkey burger since it comes with«double meat» which really just means what you get at other places in their standard burger. This was good burger! Too bad it was stone cold. Note: None of these burgers come with fries. This just seems like a trick to make me think things are cheaper than they really are. Service 1. First Visit — Take out. I arrived to chaos. I had to flag down a manager to see what was going on. Their computers apparently went down. They were turning customers away. I asked if my order was being processed or if i should leave. The GM(Vicky???) bought me a Shiner and promised to personally oversee my order. 40min later I finally got my food. Ok, so, I got a free beer. It did take about an hour for my food. So far, I can deal with this, things happen. However, when I got home, the food was stone cold. The fries were soggy. I live about 1 minute from the store. It was not travel time. 2. Second visit. Drinks. I just met a friend for a few drinks at the bar. It was after dinner rush and the place was not full. The bartenders seemed more interested in talking to each other than making sure the customers were serviced and happy. I certainly did not feel overly welcomed… Hey, the beer was cold! 3. Third visit. Dine in. I want this place to work. I need a place to go grab a beer that is 1 min from my house. Was the third time the charm? Nope. Refer to my original post… I even complained to the GM directly(who remembered me by the way). She did get us a refill on our empty beers. However, she never checked back to see if we were happy. Eventually some other person came by to apologize. Our waitress, mostly missing the entire service was unapologetic. I actually watch her take our beers from the bar, then go to another table and sit OUR beers on their table while she talked to them. I was fuming by then and just wanted to get the hell out of there. A gluten for punishment? Maybe, but, I will likely give this place one more shot!

If Hooter’s were a burger place, it would be Jake’s. Mediocre food, good alcohol specials, and waitresses in daisy dukes who show lots of cleavage. My server was friendly but forgetful. Since they’re a burger place, I’m rating them on their burgers. Bad food with good service won’t bring me back. Their burgers are woefully thin. It’s probably started as a 1/3lb but they flattened it and overcooked it. What’s left is a thin, dry patty. All the fat and juices rendered out so what’s left looks a lot smaller than 1/3lb. I’m just guessing that’s it’s 1/3lb. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s ¼lb. I like my burgers thick and cooked medium to medium-rare. Jake’s is more like fast food burgers than anything else. Think Steak N Shake but more expensive. I paid $ 8 for two skinny patties and it doesn’t come with fries. Add fries and you’re looking at more than $ 10 for 2 skinny, dried out patties. Definitely won’t RTE.
