It’s not Chicago pizza, but it comes closer than anyplace else I’ve found here after 17 years. I’m a deep dish fan but it’s not their best pie in my opinion. However they pack great flavor on the thin crust and it’s less polarizing for those who don’t know of, or appreciate, deep dish. For you New Yorkers, this thin crust is not your thin crust but it’s pretty good considering our local options. It’s our go-to pizza place in FloMo.

I really wanted some deep dish, and since their is no Uno’s around it looked like Rosati’s is the only choice. I walked in to what is a small, unkempt carry-out only storefront with a young lady using a laptop on the counter. She didn’t even look up. A moment later a surly gentleman appeared from the back. I ordered a large half cheese half pepperoni deep dish. «That’ll be $ 25.» I thought I mis-heard him, or maybe it was surly pizza guy humor. Nope he actually wanted $ 25 for 1 pizza. I left to the sounds of laughter, which confirmed that I had made the right decision to take my business elsewhere.

If you order a pizza that has olives in it and happen to bite into an olive that has a pit in it and it breaks your tooth, good luck! Rosatis will not do the right thing. When I saw my dentist, his treatment plan will be 7000.00 dollars to replace the tooth. I have talked to everyone that I can think of to get resolution and still no fixed tooth. I only wanted my tooth fixed. I asked them to send the check to my dentist. I didn’t ask for extra money or have Rosatis cut the check to me. The area manager for Rosatis stated that he wanted to help me with the problem, but he lied. Its been a year this past May since I ordered that Friday night pizza. I just want my tooth fixed.

I was born and raised in Chicago. The deep dish is nowhere close to Lou Manatis in Chicago. No dine in. Carry out only. Pizza was bland, sausage and crust was no where close to what you would get in Chicago. I tried 2X. I’ll try again and will update but save your money…

Had deep dish and Caesar salad. It was ok. Crust was not crisp on the bottom at all. Caesar salad had some old leaves and the croutons where the tiny cheap kind. Good quality ingredients on the pizza but still quite overpriced. Delivery took an hour but deep dish takes awhile to cook… It’s the best the Flower Mound area has to offer for deep dish so if you have a craving it will do the trick.

This place is hit or miss when there focused it maybe the best pizza TX has to offer but need help in the wing department to many people standing around talking instead of trying to make great food. Catch them on a Thursday night no weekends

Best Chicago-style deep dish pizza in the area. Super filling. My family loves getting delivery from Rosati’s. Lived in Chicago for two years, and this pizza is definitely a contender.

Being from Chicago and recalling fond childhood memories. I had a craving for an Italian Beef… this is the 2nd time i’ve ordered the Italian Beef… with double sauce… you have to pay extra for the peppers… the beef not as thin as I like, but it is Real Good…4stars

I really debated between giving three or four stars. I decided on three because I feel there’s a couple of negatives that hold more weight with me personally. Rosati’s is located the intersection of FM1171(Main St.) and FM2499(Long Prairie Rd.) in Lewisville. They share a small strip mall location with several other tenants that’s for take-out or delivery only. Recently I looked around to see if there was someplace in my area that served Chicago style deep dish pizza. My search led me to Rosati’s. Let me get this out of the way: their food is good! I have no complaints in that department. I’ve had their deep dish, and thin crust pizzas as well as salads and a few different pastas. The salads are huge as are the pizzas I’ve tried. Make sure you’re ordering for multiple people or have a hell of a big appetite if you’re alone. Now unfortunately comes the negatives. One minor complaint I have is that it takes what seems like forever to get your order delivered no matter what time of the day it is. Since the Chicago style pizza is a large undertaking for them to bake I can cut them a little slack for this. The other complaint is that this place is EXPENSIVE! I mean cringe worthy expensive! For example, my last order I placed was for one large thin crust pizza, a grilled chicken salad and an order of spaghetti & meatballs. This ran me right at about $ 50 with a tip. I love their food but oof! If I’m going to order from them I usually have to think long and hard about it but I shouldn’t have to. I mean it’s a pizza place after all. I guess what I’m trying to say is that if money is no object, then yes I’d recommend them in a heartbeat, however if you’re like most of us and are on some kind of budget then you probably won’t be eating here often due to the price.

Being from Chicago and a loyal Rosati’s customer I was thrilled to find a little taste of home here in Texas. Tonights order which I placed online: chopped salad, buffalo wings, cheese fries, and tiramisu. Two issues: the wings were described as CRISPY they are anything but in fact I’ve just put them into the oven to finish cooking. I requested bleu cheese AND ranch dressing. When I selected both dressings the price increased by 54 cents. When the order arrived there was no ranch dressing. I called the restaurant and the young man who answered the phone said«if you had called the order in» if Rosati’s prefers calls they shouldn’t have an online order feature. He rambled on about how he doesn’t know how the website is set up. Ultimately I just ended the call because I’m not interested in arguing over 54 cents. Poor customer service and undercooked wings. Not a happy customer. Rosatis locations in Chicago are much better!

I was so looking forward to the pizzas they post a photo of on their web site. What I received instead was $ 54 of disappointment. I ordered two extra large pizzas one with sausage and mushroom and one cheese half pepperoni. The first pie with sausage and mushrooms was a total bomb, I think they put it in the oven long enough to barely melt the cheese for the ride to the house. The sausage had no flavor I and could hardly be found, all my guests«tried to guess which piece actually had sausage on it» a new game we named«rosati’s hide the sausage». The second pizza again hard to fine a piece of pizza with pepperoni on it, but it at least had some sauce so there was some flavor. Over all, it was a horrible experience, one i WILLNOTCOMMITAGAIN! What a bummer but, the good news is it only cost me $ 54 and a $ 5 tip for find out that I won’t ever have to suffer again.

As far as Chicago style deep dish, this is the best there is, at least in Flower Mound. It’s a little on the pricey side, but the quality is excellent. If it makes you feel better, consider the price per pound, and you’ll feel you’re getting a much better deal. I haven’t tried their regular crust, so I can’t speak to that, but when I get a hankerin’ for some upside down, cheese on bottom, sauce on top, true Chicago style pizza, Rosati’s is where it’s at. Just a note, these pizzas take a long time to cook and sometimes the counter help could be a little more helpful, but don’t let that deter you from this delicious pie. Overall, it’s worth it.

TL;DR: Repeated horrible service at this restaurant has resulted in free delicious pizza 75% of the time. This place has messed up my order three out of four times. The employees are all kids that act very unprofessionally. When the pizza is finally prepared and delivered correctly, it tastes absolutely magnificent and is comes in extremely large portions. Every time they make a mistake and increase my wait time they resolve the issue by giving me my order for free. I have only had to pay ¼ of the time.

Being from Chicago I just want to say this is EXACTLY the Rosati’s food I had growing up. None of the Rosati’s are eat in, take out only, that’s who they are so if you’re expecting to eat in I suggest going elsewhere. Texas claims to have other Chicago pizzerias but none of them are close to true Chicago pizza-Rosati’s is as good as it gets here. They have TRUE Italian beef and their thin crust pizza is true to Chicago’s thin crust that is really hard to get outside of the Chicago area. I’m giving only 4 stars because of the counter-workers and the slowness of delivery and order prep. If you order before-hand, they do not deliver at the requested time-just a fore-warning. Also, they forget to deliver soda half the time. A note on price-yes, it is more expensive, but that’s how true Chicago pizza is priced. If you’re used to cheap-type pizza like Dominos or Pappa John’s then yes, Rosati’s will have some sticker shock for you. If you’re craving or wanting to try true Chicago thin crust-give it a try-just be patient.

My husband ordered online and paid while I was at yoga for a 6pm pick up. I got there at 6:05 and first they could not find record of my order for about 5 minutes. Then once they found it tried to get me to pay again and told me it would be ready in 18 minutes even though I was already 5 minutes late from our requested pick up time. Then the manager went in the back and literally yelled at the cooks that I would not want to wait 18 more minutes blah, blah blah… The cook then says well I can give her a raw pizza if you want. All of this and then additional arguing and profanity all within ear shot of me and two other customers. I appreciate the point of what the manager was trying to accomplish, however, he went about it the completely wrong way. Degrading your employees is not the way to get them to improve their performance or fix mistakes. It is never acceptable and doing it in front of customers takes it to a whole different level for me. No one deserves to be treated that way ever. With that said, the employees were a group of teenagers that didn’t care and it showed. They need some serious customer service training for the entire staff and the manager needs to figure out how to talk to people. I get that it is just a pizza place, but still. Then, the topping of the cake… one of the front doors is permanently locked and I can’t get out. Total fire code violation! The food is good, but with service like that, I’ll skip it next time and drive to the McKinney location where the service is always amazing and the food is better. This location gets a 3 for food and a 1 for completely unacceptable service and I think they are lucky to get an average of 2 for me. This experience was a total fail.

I walk in tonight at 5:48PM and order an Italian Sub, I ask the guy serving me if the Pepperocini come on the sub or on the side, he says«on the side» and asks me if I want sweet or hot. I say«none» actually and my order is placed at 5:49PM. At this point I pick up a menu from the counter and notice the price on the menu is $ 6.29 and the POS charged me $ 6.59 I tell the dude that his menu is wrong and he looks at the menu, looks at my receipt, looks on the POS and says«It’s $ 6.59.I say yes, that’s what my receipt says but the menu says $ 6.29…“DUH», his confusion sets in… Come to find out that the guy who took my order is a manager cause the cashier finally comes back to the cash register as swarms of calls and walk in folks order. I found out that the manager(Jose) was the manager cause he starts barking orders at employees due to the number of orders they receive. At one point he tells an employee«Yo, it can’t be to hard to get this fucking shit right, get it together» and WTF, why is this order not done yet they ordered at 5:53PM and it’s 6:20PM, what am I gonna tell the customer”. Trust me, while sitting there, I heard plenty more cuss words and plenty more service issues that I won’t go into. So obviously you notice I am still there at 6:20, in fact I am there until 6:25 when the cashier says to me «have you been helped» and I say«all I am doing is waiting for one single sub, can you go check on it». She comes back with my sub and says«this was done in about 5 minutes» and laughs at the error… I get my sub home, open ‘er up and notice it is only about 6 inches… my disappointment can be seen on my face, and of course, what is baked under the cheese, you guessed it, Pepperocini. The sub was definitely using the right meats Cappicola, Mortadela and Genoa so I give the quality a 6 or 7(I’ve had better in Detroit) but man, as others on this site have pointed out(and I have read on Unilocal when reading reviews about other locations) they definitely need better training or a better system. I will try the pizza next time I have a spare $ 20 for one pie, but I will have to order it 60 – 90 minutes before I want it. March 11, 2013, I want this in the same review so here goes. $ 23.00 for one 16″ pie with a 2L(yes i used a coupon) and I am still on the fence. The crust on the thin pie was«bland» but thin is not Chicago style so maybe I tried the wrong crust. Pepperoni was better than chains, but still kinda had no taste(contradictory I know). The Italian sausage was good, but the sauce was bland and the cheese got rubbery as the pie cooled. I ordered at 4:30PM to avoid delays, the web site tool said it could be an hour before I got my delivery, but I got it in 30 – 35 minutes… so my advice is order early :) but at least this time I have no service issues to report. Sticking with my 2 stars.

We have been wanting to try this for several months now and almost did several weeks back but when my wife stopped by they told her it would take 45 minutes so she ran to LC for 2 Hot n Ready’s which I am not a fan of at all but the family was hungry. My wife placed an order finally for the first time and I picked it up on my way home. Being our first time and not knowing what she ordered i almost left with only 1 pizza, salad and 2 breads. For $ 54+ I thought very, very expensive. They girl at the counter then realized I had a second pizza with the order. Proceeded to drive home to enjoy and I get a call about 2 minutes from home to say they gave me the wrong pizza so I pulled a u– turn and drove back very unhappy as we were all starving and it was rush hour. Their mistake cost me about 20 minutes round trip. A good business’s manager would have comped a pizza or meal on our next visit but that did not happen. We did get an apology and 2 Luke warm pizzas. Overall the pizza was pretty good even though luke warm. The true test will be tomorrow cold. The small salad is enough for 4 easily. I agree with others that it is expensive. I would give a 2 ½ but the option does not exist. We will probably give one more chance as the pizza was alright and there are not a lot of pizza options in FM. Staff at counter needs more training.

I have ordered and picked up twice and both times it has been great. The pie’s were done on time and are great. I can see some validity in the comments about the young ladies working the counter. I believe this may be their first time actually working and they looked like they had the«deer in the headlight» look to them. Their toppings are 3 times as good as any other pizza places in Flower Mound. In a previous review the reviewer said he had been there 4 times and thought it was crap. My question is this: if it so bad why did you return? And yes, I have been the Chicago pizza places to know the difference. For a chain pizzaeria this is far better alternative to the others. I will go back.

Highly recommeded Chicago eatery… What a Disappointment! No table service with this extensive menu. Very surprised that this location is a take out/delivery only place and after ordering the food, I can’t imagine that it’s anyway associated with the original in Chicago. We ordered the Caesar salad, Pizza bread and a small Chicago deep dish. The salad: Caeser dressing tasted bottled and had a sweet after taste, not that fabulous garlic, anchovy taste you expect in a Caesar, but the most disappointing thing was the boxed croutons. Ordered the pizza bread and added pepperoni for the kids, assuming it was going to be pizza crust with melted cheese etc. What we received was a store bought sandwhich roll, the Pepperidge Farm soft hoagie roll type, with melted cheese and topping again very disappointed with the restaurant quality being served here. Now for the pizza… ordered a small Chicago style deep dish pizza with mushrooms and sausage. Good size for 3 – 4 people without being stuffed however, the crust was plain, no delicious garlic buttery goodness that you expect with this type of pizza. The sauce was bland — possibly canned — and there was no cheese on the pizza.(Depp dish is always loaded with cheese) The sausage was fair, but the mushrooms were fresh, a plus. I wouldn’t waste your time for the money for Rosati’s. There is a lot to be worked out here which is too bad becasue we were looking for a better pizza experience in Flower Mound. Alforno’s is the best Italian place in the area, offering the finest Sicilian fare and Carmine’s in Lewisville has excellent pizza. You have one chance to make an impression and unfortunatley, this one won’t have us coming back.
