Wings and food are amazing. They really need to improve wait time and service a little bit

My wife of 20 years and I love this place! Wings are excellent, can smoke in the bar, staff is always friendly! In fact, taking my wife and son there tonight!

The service was fabulous here, and the wings were great, as usual. It was overall an awesome visit. The wing dinner(honey bacon barbecue) wings are the best flavor. Order the wings extra crispy. The cheese dip is a must try!

If I could give this place 20 stars I would. Their wings are amazing and the home made ranch is outstanding! Always quick and efficient service in both the dining room and carry out.

Some reviewers complain the wings are too small? Their not supposed to be like full grown fryer chicken legs and wings. Chicken wings are made from Bantam chickens which are naturally smaller in size. I find them to be nice and plump for Bantay chicken. Love their wings and for $ 20 it will feed two really hungry people, but for takeout expect to wait if you don’t call in ahead.

This is a good example of family restaurant. Tornado Texas Twist, wings, grilled shrimp and their burgers are what I get. Very good service and food. I drive an extra few miles to the Flowery Branch location because food and service far exceed the Buford location.

love this place, great service, friendly, but as always the wings are too small for the price.

Stopped by and picked up some wings to go and they were pretty good. Been a while since I’ve been here and although the wings are pretty small the hot has a great flavor. Corn on the cob was good but still hard to believe wings are now nearly a dollar peas everywhere you go. Good service and pleased with the value so I’ll be back. Been checking the area comparing wings but have a little more checking to do before I pick number one. Pretty full bar too that look like a good watering hole.

Was good food overall. But not enough for the money and they are not famous for steaks. My steak was overdone and very tough. Black beans are great!

Have not been to a buffalo’s in a long time because of poor experiences in the past. Glad we took a chance on the Oakwood Buffalo’s. The service and food were excellent. Will definitely return.

Food and service are great. My only problem is that the wings are very small. Taste great, but tiny. While this might be a minor quibble, it’s a pretty big problem if the place is going to make wings one of their signature items. Smoking is allowed at the bar.

This one of my favorite places to eat in the Oakwood area. I come on Sundays with the family and hit the bar on game day either way there is great service and good food!

The Flavor of the«hot» wings is excellent. However they are the smallest wings I have ever seen. There were three of us dining on «bash» night which is AYCE night. This enabled me to try a couple of different flavors. The only ones that were good were the«hot and wet» ones. Service was good. The wings, although ordered right have excellent flavor, are just way too small. Thus, the experience is just ok. I would not go on any non bash night because their wings are the same price as other places with 1⁄3 of the meat. In fact, I am sure they struck a deal with some Gainesville chicken farmer to get dibs on all their chickens before they hit a month old!

I think 90% of my Unilocaling is eating Buffalo wings all over the country and rating how authentic they are. These wings are very authentic for taste. They struggle a little bit on making them hot without changing the taste, and I found the«death valley» to be nowhere near as hot as expected and also a bit over sauced and sharp. But overall these were excellent wings that could have been served at any pizza joint in Buffalo. This location at least(I guess this is a chain?) has both a bar and a restaurant. The restaurant looks to be a family establishment. The bar however was loud and rowdy, and that is where we ate. Mondays and Wednesdays are all you can eat Buffalo wings. Three of us ate 9 dozen wings. There was some karaōke getting started when we left, and two real dart boards and pool tables. The crowd as a mix of good ol boys and middle aged professionals, with a smattering of what looked like southern hipsters maybe? There were several TVs showing sports but on the two nights we went no one was paying the least bit of attention to them. All in all I thought this was an awesome bar. Could use a better beer selection but this is Georgia not Portland so I didn’t expect much in the way of variety. Only caveat: I guess this place is getting a reputation as a bit of a gay bar. While we did see a handful of gay and lesbian persons, personally I would not describe this as a gay bar by any stretch of the imagination. But I guess to the locals even a handful of gay people makes a place a gay bar, so if that is going to make you uncomfortable then maybe stay away.
