SWEETS FOR THE SWEET!
This little candy shop is located on Main Street in downtown Flowery Branch. They have ice cream, old school candy, candy bars, various flavors of jelly beans and homemade chocolates that can be boxed for sale.
Now, when I enter a candy store, I am only interested in a couple of things, fresh chocolates with nuts and English toffee. The chocolate has to be shiny and just the right color with a very generous nut to chocolate ratio, otherwise I’m not interested. I am not tempted by anything that is boxed or packaged and they had quite a few items that fell into this category.
We all know that fine chocolates are priced like «crack» so if I am going to pull out the wallet, that chocolate had better be screaming my name when I walk by.
Yes, they sell candy but I did not feel that it was my kind of special so I did not purchase anything. However, if you just love candy for candy’s sake, you will definitely find something to your liking in this store.
Staff was nice and friendly and available to help or advise as needed.

Having been a customer for this store for a couple years, I have watched them try to find their niche. Coffee? Ice Cream? Drinks? I have put up with ridiculous prices, amateurish– meh hand made candy, fudge that is downright difficult to eat and stale retail candy because it was a pretty store that evokes old school memories. Every time we go to the lake, (we have a boat docked nearby) we would bring friends and family to this store. Google searches bring me dozens of candy related phone calls to my business. I was formerly in the practice of sending many of these calls to Liberty. NEVER AGAIN. I was aghast today when the owner was rude to me… I can assure you I will never again bring them business.

LOVE IT!!! Sales girl– awesome, Selection –awesome, Prices — awesome, Taste –awesome, Atmosphere –awesome, Just a lovely experience. Going back soon!

This place is so sweet (pun intended)!!! The amount of candy and other treats are endless. Karen is a master at her craft and her passion for her business really shines through… From the taste of the homemade chocolates to the décor and feel of the shop. Every time I leave the shop my only regret is how my stomach will feel before I get home (because it’s hard not to eat an entire box of 12 chocolates in one sitting). Anyone with a sweet tooth needs to come here.

Karen is a master of fun and all things sweet at Liberty Candy. Her homemade ice cream is to die for and the specialty candy counter filled with truffles, fudge, caramels and more will melt your heart.
My favorite thing there is the feeling I get when I browse the store — it’s a total Willie Wonka experience. All the favorite candies of my childhood are stacked on shelves, and carts and in glass jars. So much fun.
I always shop there for holidays — especially Christmas. She has the best stocking stuffers on the planet.
