A PERFECT ADDITION TO THE DOWNTOWN SCENE!
I am walking downtown and I see this cute little shop. I am so taken with the exterior and what I can see by peering through the window that I don’t immediately realize that it is a salon. It is both a salon and a little shop. When I enter I am greeted by the stylist who is taking care of her client.
I quietly walk around and explore the art and home décor items which included cotton plants, birds, squirrels, little bird cages, paintings and other fall touches. Its really an eclectic mix of items and rather fun to browse.
The salon is just not a part of the décor, it actually has a five star rating on Kudzu with 41 reviews. It is very progressive in terms of services and styles offered and has garnered a significant following.
Don’t let the location fool you as this is no «blue haired» lady salon in the middle of Mayberry.

As every woman knows, searching for a new hairstylist is a daunting task. We moved to North Georgia four years ago and for the first 3 ½ of those years I tried salon after salon after salon, and from cheap to Buckhead-​type prices, and always came away with just kind of a so-​so liking of the results.
I had THE BEST hairstylist for many years in Marin Co., CA (yes, you, Donna) and figured I would never ever find another to compare. Last November I saw an adorable hairstyle on someone and asked her who did her hair. This woman just raved about Amie at Salon Carpe Diem and now I am here to rave about her, too!
Amie does a wonderful cut and style and will listen to what your likes and dislikes are and then will share her thoughts with you in a very honest, friendly way. I have never been rushed through the process and Amie is quite meticulous about her cuts.
I am lucky to live close-​by, but if I didn’t, it is well worth a drive here to get an awesome cut and great service. My best friend and her daughter now also visit Amie and I would suggest that if you a looking
for a new stylist it is worth coming to Salon Carpe Diem in downtown Flowery Branch for an appointment with Amie Black-​Buchanan.

Stylist Helena is the best! Too bad her talents are not appreciated. I would follow her far & wide for a great cut, color & blow dry!
