This is a new location and I have never eaten at a Pie Five before. I must say I will be back! Awesome sauce and fresh ingredients that’s what makes a pizza good. Lunch workers were extremely polite and helpful. The place was spotless… I wish I lived closer, I will be back when I come back to town

This is the kind of place you really wished did well in our community. The environment is upbeat and the crew working behind the counter seemed young and willing to please. The problem comes in two phases though. 1) The pizza dough. It has roughly the consistency of the Chef Boyardee pizza crust you can get in any pastry section at the grocery store. Whether you get thin crust or pan crust the taste is the same. For Pete’s sake even Pizza Hut has started dressing up there crust in an attempt to not be left behind in the pizza market. 2) The cook time. The restaurant is called pie five because it is promising a pizza cooked in five minutes. The problem is if you have a thick crust and lots of toppings the pizza does not cook properly. And even with the thin crust if more than just a few minutes passed, your pizza becomes far less appetizing. Usually cold pizza has many fans, but I don’t see this as being a palatable midnight snack or breakfast.

For fast food, it’s 5 stars. This is for pizza what Genghis Grill is for stir fry. I could make a Subway analogy, but that would insult a good sandwich. Choose a recipe from the menu, or pick out every ingredient(or both). There are also crusts to chose from. Place your order at the counter. In 5 minutes or less, you get a really tasty personal pizza. It’s really good. To get a better pizza, you’d have to go to a nice full service restaurant. Oh and they have one of those new fangled Coke machines that lets you chose from a wide variety of drinks with optional fruit flavors added — always a plus.

I love pie five and visit them whenever I find one. You can customize pizzas and they are always good. I also must note I don’t care for pizza much but this I can eat all the time. Try it you’ll like it. I’ve gone to them in 3 states and all have been friendly and consistent.

It took longer to checkout than it did to make and cook the pizza. The pizza was cold when we sat down to eat. Wouldn’t recommend it. The checkout register is a bottleneck. Disappointed.

The salad was so small it literally fit in the palm of my hand. I paid $ 9.62 for a tiny salad and a tea. The menu says the salad is served in their famous pizza crust bowl. On the picture menu the pizza crust bowl looks roughly equivalent in size to the small pizza. This is deceptive. In reality, the pizza crust bowl is just slightly larger than a large cupcake/muffin but only an inch or so high. That’s not an exaggeration, it was that small. Three of the five of us in our party ordered salads and as we were leaving only half jokingly discussed going somewhere else to get lunch. We left still hungry and I felt ripped off. At several nearby restaurants, Corner Bakery, McAllister’s, Newk’s, I can get a huge salad for about $ 7-$ 8 and get a military discount.(All five in our party were military, in uniform, on our lunch break.) Very disappointed.

Pretty simple concept, build it yourself and they’ll have it ready in 5mins. They have a ton of ingredients for you to mix up your pizza everytime you visit. My bf and I likes different kinds of pizza, he’s all meat and cheese and I’m an all wheat crust veggie girl. We end up getting stuck with a big pizza so this is an awesome idea! My family, friends and I tried it and we’d definitely be back. One small critique, that the people prepping the pizza to evenly spread out the ingredients. Some slices I had a ton sun dried tomatoes and some slices I had none. I like a lot of veggies on mine, so cooking it in 5 minutes, my pizza wasn’t hot like it should be.

Subway style pizza is how it was explained to me. Order the pizza you want and then choose your toppings through the sneeze proof glass. I chose to ask the pizza man to just make me whatever he thinks is best. The pizza was made fresh in front of me and had heaping layers of cheese and meat. The sauce he chose was a pizza sauce mixed with a little Sriracha(sp?). (Squirrel: Sriracha seems to be every where these days. You know a company has made it when your phone stops auto correcting the word Sriracha. Well done I say! Sriracha helped me through some pretty crappy chow hall meals in Afghanistan.) The first few bites were heaven but then isn’t that always the case with pizza no matter the quality. Now I eat slow, so the pizza had time to cool a little. That’s where I started to have issues. The cheese started to take on that cafeteria sort of Cisco canned taste. It was no longer appetizing at all. «Well, wait! It’s meant to be eaten warm!», someone is sure to say. Tell that to Pizza Hut. Theirs is like ten times better cold. All in all the service was amazing but the pizza was very bland even with the sultry siren of sauces mixed in. The price was reasonable but I don’t think I will be back. I would bring the kids here because I think they would really enjoy it but for me, I will stick with Pizza Shack.
