Barbie spa

Massage was decent but many things just brought the score down.
I asked if there was room for three ppl ok the phone and they agreed. When i got there, no one was available! So unprofessional.
Then there was this dam chinese man just causing a ruckus so there was no way i could relax. No consideration for their customers who were trying to relax. Lastly the lady who was massaging me just kept leaving to get the door and answer the phone. The experience just wasnt up to par.

I wanted a massage but didn’t want to to apple soa (on the same block), because it looks shady, its noisy and the ladies demand a $ 20 tip.
So I wanted to try Barbie spa. It’s basic. Same set up as many of these spas, with made up walls. I went during the day so that may have everything to do with it being quiet. As always they briefly speak to you and lead you to the room I wish the mussue would greet you face to face but I guess no time for that. As I laid face down the lady arrived and asked my preference of hard or medium.
Why I give 4 stars
–friendly lady, kept asking what I liked and howIwas doing.
-$ 40=1hr. Great price for an acrual massage. However maybe 20mnts of it was on top of the towel and no lotion. Once she used lotion, she didnt use much. I dont want to be oily but use something for the massage to feel nicer.
–I had/​have knotts and she worked the out. I will ask her to focus on my upper body only next time rather to get a full body. So I will take that as my fault for not being specific. But I did inform her where to focus.

–Tip= I gave $ 15 althought I was thinking $ 10 would have been fine. But she did her a good job so I am fine with what I paid.
–I menti9ned my shoulders hurt but she found my lower back was also bothering me and for that she deserves a 4 star!

I am new to Unilocal and I hope me post doesn’t get deleted Being a distance runner, I am looking for a great massage after my long runs. A friend referred me to Barbie spa. The spa is relatively new. The place is immaculate and professional. The staff is very friendly. Nina was my masseuse and I asked her to focus on my legs and back and she focused on these areas with the right amount of pressure. My legs and back felt great! For $ 40 and tip, is a bargain! Great job and I will be back
