I’m sad to see this place closed down. This was one of my favorite places, some of the best true New York style pizza around. You wouldn’t think it with its lack of ambiance, but that’s a classic NY pizza shop for you. Simple, yummy, hot sizzling melting cheese, perfect with garlic powder and oregano. No need for toppings. Perfect! Very few other places were better, in my opinion. It always reminded me of the good old days growing up. The only thing they were missing were some arcade games.

Almost a 50 year run, unfortunately nothing lasts forever. This was a good spot, but always played second fiddle to Gloris’s when it was around, I have yet to find pizza as good as Gloria’s, don’t think I ever will… Good luck Joe Pace, wish your new location lasts for 50 years and beyond…

Me and my mom went in this place on Friday, June 10Th, 2011 and were so disgusted we walked out. The individual slices looked overcooked, small in proportion and the rest of the food didn’t look all that good either, and big disappointment, only this is located in a horrible neighborhood that is all Chinese and very run down, so maybe that explains it.

I still can’t believe you guys left. But things happen for a reason. When you re-open you will be bigger and better than before. Good luck and I can’t wait to visit.

When I initially came to New York & lived in Queens about 15 years ago, I used to order Pizza from Barone’s & felt that they had the best Pizza I ever had. Over the years, I moved to Brooklyn, Manhattan & subsequently Long Island but always picked up a couple of pies from Barone’s whenever I could. I’m deeply saddened to learn that they have closed. But I hope they do open soon at another location. Please update your new address on this site when you open at your new location, thanks.

I had the beef patty here after my friend told me to try since I’ve never had one before. I think after listening to all the hype of what a Beef Patty is, I was a bit disappointed. Yes it is really filling and not too expensive but the texture of the beef is lacking and its very heavy. Probably not the best thing to eat before a flight.

I’m sorry this place went away. I don’t live in the area, so I didn’t get a slice often, so I don’t know why they went away. Last I saw them, they allowed people to sell fruits and vegetables in front of their store. They also changed up the pizza crust. It wasn’t the typical soft crust. It was more crispy, harder to fold. So I didn’t like the new pizza as much as the old, but it still tasted good. I had pizza, regular and sicilian slices, and zeppoles. Great stuff. I don’t know where else I would go now. I hope the place on Roosevelt Ave is still there.

Sad when another long time local place bites the dust. I know pizza in Flushing is a dying breed. The food took a while to make but when you got it, it sure was pretty good old school Italian walk in order at the counter type place. Wish the family the best.

Born and raised here in Flushing. the home of Barones Pizzeria and definitely my favorite place to grab a few slices to go. Actually. who am I kidding. it was more like the occasional pie to be delivered especially at my home. After 45 years. my pizzeria will be closing and its truly going to be missed. Here in Flushing. there aren’t many options for pizza so before Barones says it farewell. do yourself a favor and have a true New York slice of Pizza. Barones Pizza!!!

Stopped in for the lasagna special. Lasagna plus small drink and two garlic bread sticks for $ 6 flat. Lasagna wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything great. I’d be more comfortable with the whole deal for $ 5 instead given comparable prices in the area

I’ve passed by this place for over 10 years, not once ever coming in and on this particular day I saw a sign for a $ 6 baked ziti deal. Never to pass up a good deal I decided to give it a shot. Deal came with baked ziiti with garlic bread and soda. Ziti was only okay. Garlic bread was actually great and the soda was tiny lol

I frequented this pizza place on the run and grabbing slices to go. The slices are decent and can’t complain about the service. However one time I stayed to have my slice and had a seat where I could see behind the counter. Now let me say, I’ve worked in a pizzeria and I know that on busy days they keep cooked pies on hand. BUT you’re supposed to keep the pies on a clean surface, right? Here they had a pie sitting a top a cardboard box. Seriously? You cant invest in the proper equipment? Idk how health inspectors have missed this. Never went there again.

Not the best pizza around, but pizza choices in the area around midnight are not all that plentiful. The crowd at that time is a little rough, filled with believe or not, a bunch of loud elderly folks who apparently frequent the premises fairly often. The store itself looks pretty dated, and by that I don’t mean it gives off a cool old school vibe, because it certainly doesn’t. The lady on line in front of me had a 5 minute argument over a very small surcharge because her order was under $ 10 and she wanted to pay with a credit card. In the pizza guys defense he did fully explain the surcharge prior to her placing an order after she inquired. Nevertheless, I ordered a plain slice and a slice topped with meatballs… both were pretty good.

Horrible! Me and my boyfriend usually only get regular slices from this spot. One night we decide to order big mistake wasted $ 16! First off we ordered 2 chicken slices 1 regular slice garlic knots and two drinks. 1 of our drinks were missing and the one they did bring was the wrong kind. Second dilemma the chicken slices looked like they were to lazy to care threw on shitload of old nasty grilled chicken and barely no cheese GROSS. Then they charged me for two regular slice when on the phone I told the guy 1000 times I only wanted one. The garlic knots were the only decent thing sucks a order of $ 1 is only two small balls. Never ordering from here… oh and it took 1 hr to deliver mind you we live 3 blocks away and our pizza was cold AF.

Decent pizza nothing special the menu wasn’t in Chinese so I didn’t end up eating ducks feet or black fungus so that was good

It’s my 2nd time here! Place is very conveniently located in Flushing. I can even smell the pizza just walking by the restaurant. There are a decent variety of slices to choose from. The pizza is good, not amazing to me. They also have ally of other side orders, such as pastas and calzones.
