I came by this bakery on while on my way back to into the NYC. I’m not a stranger to fresh baked goods and they looked pretty busy inside so I decided to stop in as see what they were about. I was not disappointed. Upon walking in I was met with a center isle filled with baked goodness. I’m partial to crème filled breads so I headed straight Bavarian crème Soboro and the Choux Crème Soboro croissanut. The Choux was filled with a airy Crème wrapped in a baked then fried casing. The Bavarian was fun too. A split donut filled with Bavarian crème and topped with peanut crumble. Needless to say I took some to go. Will return? Yea I’ll definitely return. On my next pass I want to try and get here early enough to try their roll cakes. The staff told me that they usually sell out early so I took one of each of their 2 piece roll cakes to go!

This is my go-to place for cakes. I love how soft the cake is and that the cream/icing has a whipped like texture without being overly sweet. My favorite is the strawberry chiffon and chocolate ganache. I have tried most of what they offer and they are all really good. I came in last week and came across a new pastry. Soboro croissanut. OHEMGEE~ looooooove!!! There’s a peanutty taste with custard like goodness, soft flakiness of a croissant. It’s just heaven! The employees here are always friendly, cheerful with their greetings and suggestions. The service has always been great and consistent. I am kind of glad I don’t live close by because I would be here everyday. I am here just about once every 2 weeks to indulge in my sweet tooth cravings after my manicure.

This place used to be Tous de Jours and I frequently used to buy their goods. One of my former Korean neighbors love Tous de Jours so I used to buy some baked goods from here every time I went to visit them. Yesterday, I went in at 2pm and I was disappointed that they ran out of all the roll cakes(which I thought was odd). I saw that they had another package of baked goods in a set of 10 so I got that one. The manager of the store ask me if this was a gift. I said yes and she offered me the same package that was already wrapped in Christmas wrapping. Everything went smoothly at first. When I got to my former neighbor’s house, she unwrapped the box and embarrassedly told me all the baked goods were stale looking and hard and were growing mold out of them. I was mortified! I went back directly to the store and asked for my money back instead of an exchange. The manager said that they don’t make any of these package goods and were actually made by an outside party. **FYI: I never got to try any of the food here so I can’t vouch for it. It could have been great, but I was terrified by the experience and I won’t be returning. I definitely say don’t order anything you can’t see the inside of. It’s unfortunate cause their baked goods do look good.

Saw this across the street from kyochon chicken. I couldn’t really see the inside cos they have blinds so I decided to explore this store. I tried their latte and macaroons. The latte was so good very smooth and strong. but the macaroons were just… not worth the money. It’s very cozy there and they offer free wifi. Definitely a new hang out place besides café bene.

Found this gem driving through queens. Amazing selection of baked goods and amazing coffee! At first, the coffee might be strong for some but you will find yourself craving it — I can’t seem to drink anything else after drinking theirs! My favorites are their crabmeat egg salad sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, red bean donut and their multigrain bread(looks nothing like what it tastes)!
