Service is great. Love most of the food there. I definitely recommend this place to coffee and tea lovers.

Great place to get your everyday bagel breakfast. Its hard to find a hot bagel shop in a Korean neighborhood. I don’t particularly recommend the whole wheat bagel from here. The butter and jam bagel was very yummy!

Drove by after picking up kimbap on an early Saturday morning. Ordered a cappuccino with skim milk. It came out perfect. Wasn’t bitter at all. Hard to find a good coffee spot in nyc. Glad I found something local.

love this place. my usual order is either California omelette with salad and/or French toast. California omelette has perfectly ripe avocado every single time! French toast is thick, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. only complaint if I think really hard? some times I want jam or jelly with my wheat toast. but no jelly or ham packets available. they deliver too which is a huge bonus! getting breakfast/brunch delivered to your apartment when you don’t want to go out but have hungry stomachs to feed? priceless! oh and forgot to mention they serve good coffee here. sons coffee places serve nothing noteworthy coffee. not here, good coffee. best staff ever! it’s becoming my «cheers»(I.e., bar where everybody knows your name) of coffee house.

Everything about this place is awesome. The food, the employees, and the interior. The employees are very kind and always welcome me whenever I come in. And their food always tastes amazing. This is my favorite place to eat at. I would recommend this place to anyone. Definitely worth it.

Cute! This is a petit size coffee shop located on Northern Boulevard. I came here for breakfast on a weekday and it was really easy finding parking outside(1 hour limit). The California omelette was pretty good. They have a wide selection of coffees too so if you’re looking for something light and quick, this would be the place to go. Most importantly, the staff is really nice!

Came here to grab a quick lunch with my boyfriend. The food really lacked flavor, and anything special. Service was all right. Drinks were boring Food and drink items are definitely over priced

Solid breakfast joint. Convenient. Clean and never over crowded. The staff is super friendly and the coffee is always on point. Very affordable prices and the B4 platter is huge. I come here just about every weekend. Bagels are also on point TIP: Come in before 1030 though, bagel selection gets small if you get here late.

A long over due review to my girl Diane and crew for their awesome breakfast sandwiches and yummy coffee which gets me through my long day with lil man when I’m too tired to whip up my own breakfast :) I always get my signature eggie sammie which is 2 eggs, cheese, avacado and depending if I’m on my «health kick«honey turkey or bacon on my cheat days.. bacon always wins! My prego cravings were eggies and avacado, so a big thumbs up for Java making my sandwiches when I was too tired during my pregnancy and was going through mild caffeine withdrawals, although I would always ask Diane to make me a half decaf/reg. Ohh who am I kidding, I’m not too tired now and wasn’t tired during my pregnancy, i was/am too damn lazy and can’t make an egg sandwich quite as good as Java and their coffee and cappuccino is THEBEST! Diane is fabulous My husband and I can’t say enough on how much we love this place !!!

Nice, comfy café on Northern Boulevard that’s great for breakfast and brunch. The workers are very hospitable, the owner Diana really makes an effort to remember her customers in order to serve them more efficiently and she’s super friendly. The café is a little small, four or five tables across but I haven’t had any trouble finding seats. Food is made to order and if you’re dining in then they serve if to you which is really nice. Java Day offers a great variety of breakfast foods that’ll satisfy any stomach. From bagel sandwiches to large platters to omelette it’ll be very difficult for you to not find what you’re looking for. I normally order their bacon egg and cheese on a garlic bagel and home fries and oh man are they good. I sometimes come here to do some studying/reading as well, they have free wifi here and I just love the smell of their cooking, quite a pleasant experience indeed. Loads of parking near by so if you want to treat yourself to a great breakfast/brunch/lunch, come here and enjoy!

My go to spot for an amazing breakfast at a great price. I haven’t tried much of the menu because I am a creature of habit BUT I can say that the«B4» is amazing. It’s a large plate of your standard breakfast selection(eggs, toast, ham, bacon, sausage and home fries). Some places tend to fall off after a while because they get complacent but not Java Day. I’m always a little wary of places that have the food served a little too quickly but this place is definitely an exception. The plate comes out piping hot and tasting amazing every single time. The atmosphere here is very laid back. Diana is great. I’m big on the little things and Diana is on point in every aspect. If you’ve been here more than once, I can almost guarantee that she will remember your name and usual order. It’s things like this that make people smile and keep them coming back. Parking is usually plentiful. If you wanna avoid paying for the meter, there is ample parking on the side streets. If you don’t already have a solid breakfast place to hit up in the morning, this place should be at the top of your list.

Decently priced, and has a variety of breakfast food. The staff is definitely friendly. My brother, mother and I had b5 platter, western omelette and regular French toast. The platter and omelette were priced okay; but in truth, I could make better omelettes, sausages and bacon than what I was served. Or they seemed they could’ve been from frozen foods or pre-packaged. They were similar to something you’d expect at McDonald’s. The French toast, on the other hand, was not bad. The bread was thick, and it wasn’t bland not was it too sweet. Overall, this café seems more purposed for an average meal or decent coffee/drink for an okay price. Not amazing but it’s affordable and acceptable in taste.

Although I’ve been told this place was great for brunch, I only came here for a Macchiato and some quality time with my school notes. Nice cozy place with long benches for seating. There were not many outlets; I was lucky to share an outlet with the plugged in Christmas tree. Will definitely be back to try their brunch. Plenty of street parking on Northern BLVD

I really wanted to like this café but the long wait time is frustrating. We ordered a Stuffed French Toast, which has strawberry cream cheese slathered in the middle of all 3 pieces and a Healthy Wrap(egg whites, turkey, and swiss cheese in a whole wheat wrap). It took 30 minutes for our food on a late Sunday morning. They didn’t start making our food until 20 minutes after our order. If the food was good, I wouldn’t have minded but there was nothing special about the food. Better to order breakfast from somewhere else.

Cute breakfast spot in northern Blvd! Prices are very reasonable for breakfast and lunch and there is a large variety! I ordered a croissant with avocado, sausage, and over easy eggs! Super tasty and cooked just the way I ordered it. Can’t wait to come back and try more things!

If HIMYM has Maclaren’s and Friends has Central Perk, I’d really like Java Day Café. It’s my unkempt dream/reality idea of a day time place where a small group of friends can just hang out for a bit, have the most random but enlightening conversations, enjoy simple yet completely satisfying food all the while feeling completely at home and fine with time just floating by around them. That’s kind of what happened to me this past weekend when I came here for brunch and I have to say, there’s a reason why this place is ranked so highly! Things that make this place so wonderful: 1. The simple café feel, good music, no one pestering you, helpful and nice staff! 2. Two Words: French Toast. Three more words: The Hungry Man. My absolute favorite choices here but coming close in the food race is also — The B4 platter(bingo!) 3. This place is known for good coffee, give it a try =] I like Caramel Macchiatos personally and if you’re into tea — I hear the Honey Ginger Tea is delicious too. This isn’t a 5 star restaurant, or an artistic flare lounge, but it is a really feel good café that is completely deserving of a visit if you’re ever in the area. It’s inexpensive, the atmosphere is great and you’ll leave feeling better than when you arrived — everything hits the spot =] I’m not a 5(star)-giver really, but I’d love to give it to this place in the very near future with a few more visits under my belt! enchow~!
